Slick trick fixed blades have a 2/14 inch cut and can never fail. Just if u want another option. So proud of the hogs for bunjie and bunjie jr. Can’t wait to see the rest of your and Genevieve season.
Good day Rich, I suggestion ...keep the lighted Nock add a brass insert hundred grains. Add a solid non-mechanical Broadhead A chisel or cut on contact of 150 grains to 200 grains. This will increase your pass-through on pig. The idea is to have 25 to 30% front of center, stabilizer’s faster in the air. The non-mechanical broadhead with no moving parts is less likely to get deflected and lose its momentum. Try one of your old bolt cutter Broadhead you already have some. Try this in your backyard on your brand new pig target compared to your mechanical set up that you presently are using. You will have better penetration guaranteed. I have not tried the single bevel broadhead but it appears there’s nothing better if you make a bad shot. I mean it’s more forgiving if you connect with lots of bone. A pass-through is better then an arrow halfway through the pig running away. This will quiet your crossbow when you shoot. Try this out on your form targets compared to your present set up see what the difference is. Maybe go to this set up next year at the meet and greet
I think you are doing really well this year (with videos) considering what you have been up against. New house and move and Meat & Greet and this and that and Rona. I mean.... Yeah!....I get it ! LOL
I am trying the Rage crossbow hypodermic NC. Extremely accurate out to 50 yards (didn’t test beyond). Only one complaint - one broadhead had loose screws, barely holding the blades on. Just a quick turn of an Allen wrench and everything was fine. I placed an old leather glove on a target and the broadhead opened flawless. Excited to use these on whitetail this fall.
great info on your videos...thanks! Have you any idea what I could use to replace lost washers on my Rage trypan 150g broadheads? thanks and keep up the great work.
thanks for the reply. I contacted Rage and they don't sell them separately. I didn't find any that were the same when I checked the local ACE store, but I'm not in a hurry. They weigh 6 grains. so worse case I just shoot 146 grains. LOL @@Deathbybunjie
I use the hypo for my crossbow and my compound bow all i do is change collers black for bow red for crossbow same with the trypan red crossbow gray for bow you made a great chaice on broadheads👍👍
This year I am going with the new Excalibur Trailblazers. Kinda like their new version of the X-act, but the blades are thicker, available in 150 grn, and no washers/shock collars
Hi Rich, I had no idea that you could get any RAGE over 125 grains! This could be an ELK head. I'm going to try some RAGE broad heads on deer this FALL, and I'm going to find out once and for all if the RAGE is worth the HYPE! Great and informative video as always.
The Rage Trypan’s are great heads. I liked them. The only thing I disliked was the single use shock collars. My local Cabela’s sold the heads but not the collars which was inconvenient.
Love your videos. Question? I just tried the 100 grain trypan today which does not come with a washer. When I tightened the bh on the shaft it seemed to push out the collar notches quite a bit. Almost to a point where I thought it would not hold the blades in flight. Have you any advice on if this is normal or maybe I’m just tightening too much? Thanks
I haven't used those so I'm not familiar with them, but I suspect you want to tighten it down just enough so it's good and snug, just before it starts to bulge out, and you should be fine. I assume that's the design! Just cite it in with a bunch of my 150 trypans today and I'm pretty excited!
that's about the only difference. the design is a bit different but i don't think functionally there's any difference. they LOOK a bit different but that's it, that and the weight
I have been using the 125grain Rage Hypodermics. I bought some Trypan broadheads because they are 150grain. I prefer to use heavier broadheads with my Matrix 405. I'm getting 350fps with a 520 grain arrow.... it Mooses!!! :-)
Awesome video! I just bought my very first ever crossbow the other day ( Ten Point Vapor 470 😁 ) anyways i been a Rage fan for years so I bought these Trypan to go with it but i noticed my package didn't come with the little metal washer??
@@Deathbybunjie well I went ahead and used it and it worked just fine, I got a decent 8 point right before dark and that Rage ripped a hole like I've never seen!!

Hey buddy. As you know I have been using the dead meats. I find that the rage hypodermic, dead meats, and field points fly the same. I am almost out of dead meats so I will be switching to the rage hypodermic this year. Have you tried the collarless ones yet?
i have not, i really like the ones i have and i've had no problems with the collars. will do a video on that shortly. what head did you use on your bear?
@@Deathbybunjie I was using what I had left of the dead meats last year, so last year's bear was killed with the dead meat. They are great braudheads too. I had the Ravin 29 last year and I found the arrow about 100 feet dehind the bear. There is so much power that they crush everything they hit.
@5:30 Looking at how much bigger the diameter of your arrow is than the diameter of the broadhead's ferrule, you might achieve much better penetration if the reverse were true. (Per Dr. Ed Ashby's lengthy study on Terminal Arrow Performance, Factor #5 of his 12 factors, ranked!) Better penetration is achieved when the diameter of the arrow shaft is smaller than the diameter of the broadhead's ferrule. Hey, don't shoot the messenger! **WinK** Hunt safely, my Friends!
He says like a 5% difference in penetration is all. If you're trying to squeeze all the penetration you can out of a slow trad bow, that matters. With modern xbows...not worth exploring lol

I do have 50 grain adaptors which will get her heads to 150, if she REALLY wants to use the hypo heads. Let me know and I will send you 3. Jen uses them. Not sure if you saw her arrows at the meat and greet but she likes a 125 grain model but wanted 175. I got her the 50 grain adapters (no gluing or anything like that) and she loves them. If you want to look at them, go to Innerlock website and look under the broadhead tab...all the way to the bottom. Anyways.... The taipan has a heavy (I wouldn't term it pro) like/hate response from Rage fans. Personally I do not know (hands on) anything but I do watch what is going on out there with these. You'r head has a far higher rating among Rage fans. Maybe she is on to something ;)
I believe they include a practice point with the Hypodermics and wondered myself why they did not include one with the Trypan. Glad you tested it to confirm the fly like field point accuracy. You can always touch up the dulled blades and use them again. As for the target. They just do to much damage to shoot them to find out how they fly more than once in awhile.
Death by Bunjie I think the change is the a smart one by them. That was the only flaw ever in their design. I know you like the old design, but this new design will do the same damage as before with less inconvenience.
Your lucky its just one set of spare ribs to shoot its a diferent storie when its muma and her five children when you take one they rush you, you better have a tree to clime up into to get away from them
Rich put a little smear of bow wax on threads. Helps keep broadhead tight and not come loose. Old School trick.
Good tip. I use dental floss
I do that with my feild points they never come loose either
