Incredible restoration work. As a former Citroën mechanic, I appreciate very much what you've achived. This CX Turbo is not such an old car but it represents a tremendous job to renew the badly damaged and rusted body, the engine / gearbox group, interior trimmings and so much more. You can be proud of your job, you are a master. Thank you so much to enjoy us with your skill and this now really nice automobile.
Superb, what a hellish job. I drive an unrestored CX2500 limousine (Diesel) in BC Canada. I sincerely hope that you get at least the same amount of joy out of your car, or even more, from what I have experienced. For me its pure therapy. Respect. Well done to bring this classic car back to life again. A lot of work was done building this beauty up from scratch again. I'm very glad that there are still CX Enthusiast like me (CX 25 TRD1 Series1) working with this sometimes unique technical solutions and being happy with it. The documentation is amazing. NIce interieur work as well. I will try the shown laminating solution with the indoor panel knobs. Best wishes and keep on hovering down the road and always enough LHM in your reservoir. Thanks! My bent front door panels hold up well. But it is not a knobs laminated. It is a plastic washers laminated. And a knobs can rotate free in these washers for better positioning as in the original

Incroyable cette restauration, "molodets". Propriétaire de ma première CX 2000 en octobre 1975 , j'ai pu la revendre rapidement .Malgré ses qualités, elle n'était équipée pas de diravi . Au lieu de vente de véhicules d'occasion, tout le monde la voulait, je l'ai offerte au plus offrant, un médecin kurde qui est reparti dans la foulée avec elle en Libye, sachant qu'elle n'était pas climatisée ! j'ai repris une Pallas , mieux équipée ! Donc j'ai très apprécié cette vidéo retrouvant le travail à accomplir pour la restauration pas facile et surtout en Russie ! Je souhaite à l'heureux propriétaire de bien en profiter. Pour info, le freinage était le meilleur de l'époque, même une Porsche ne possédait pas des étriers en alu et ni quatre pistons par disque de freinage

Da bambino quando avevo 10 anni l'ammiravo parcheggiata sotto casa, ricordo era azzurra e mi fermavo a guardarla, complimenti per il lavoro di restauro, e' una macchina bella come poche , uguale a nessuna, unica e irripetibile.
Fantatic job, big effort, I like the 85 turbo gti because of the chrome bumpers. Became myself a cx fan buying a 79 gti in gold metallic with the brown leather seats that was in 1991. The next was a 86 Diesel bought in 1994 and drove more the 420000km with it. In 2004 got a GTI turbo II (1997) as a wedding present from my lovely wife. Bought another turbo diesel and a Gti in 2005. Because I have a Taxi company in Belgium and sortage of space I had to sell the last tree cars in 2008. Sadly I don't have a cx at the moment. Hope to find me a nice GTI in the future. Epic job guys. Brilliant. I have a 1985 2500 auto Pallas stuck in a garage waiting for this sort of treatment. It was in use until vandals smashed the rear passenger window. It got taken off the road and hasn't been out since. This video at least shows me that it is possible. Any viewers in the UK that can recommend a Citroen restorer? This car must be a sight out and about in Russia, which is where I guess you are based. Well done again on a nice resto, LG.
Did you find a restorer yet? I'm in the UK & I 'restored' my CX a few years back, you can see it partly done on my channel, have never gotten around to showing the complete job yet, I'll do it sometime. I could be wrong, but I don't think anyone in the UK would call themselves a CX restorer, with just a handful who may restore old Citroen, there's not a lot of money in it & it's really difficult! I don't belong to it anymore, but you could join the Citroen Car Club & ask around for help or just speak to some well regarded restorers & see if they'll take it on. The problem you may discover & which I had, was I found a restorer who would take her on, but he wasn't a Citroen specialist, so it took longer than it should & some Cit specific jobs that should've been done, weren't, which was disappointing. Also, will they want all the money or a large lump sum up front, or can you pay as you go? Then how far away are they, if you can't pop in every now & then, they may take longer than is needed, also you may be able to help sometimes, which you can't if you're not local. Finally, are you going for original, or do you want to try to improve anything & how far do you want to go? It's a minefield I'm afraid, but if you still want to try (and haven't yet), I know a few people you can speak to, my contact is on my about page. ;-)
I did go to school to become a car mechanic back in the mid 80's and i did spend 14 days as an intern in shop working on these, and Peugeot's such a cool car, but yeah those where more brand new, i like these they sure are one of a kind.

I restored a CX Safari, at enormous expense, like stupid money, but she didn't get all the attention you've lavished on this car, I'm very jealous. My car was running well though, so my restorers didn't want to strip mechanics out in this way, probably frightened of the Citroen stuff as well, he wasn't a Cit specialist. I marvel at your enginuity & shere cleverness to restore a CX to this level, they are so difficult & although we might love them, they do have lots of not great quality bits & pieces that break, snap or just don't work that well, so you must be very patient. Also I wish I'd not tried to force in as many 'improvements & upgrades' as I did, a few years on now & they're starting to not work that well & now need removing, changing or fixing. I always tell people, younger people perhaps with smaller wallets, to just buy a classic that you love & keep it running with fixes here & there, a full restoration is a sure way to madness, so I hope you're still sane. Sir, I salute you ;-). (My CX can be seen after it's paint on my channel, I still have to do a video about the entire restoration, just haven't felt like it until recently, so we'll see.......!)
