Queen Maeve overcoming her fear of Homelander to rediscover the hero still within her was really heart warming. She didn't have to give Starlight advice and console her, but she did. There's also an interesting duality between her and Homelander where she saves Annie because she sees her younger self in Annie, but she doesn't go about it from a selfish angle like Homelander sees his son.
maeve is my favourite character from the boys overall because she is basically the reason why the show doesnt have an actual nihilistic view on superheroes. she's the show's thesis for why even in a fucked up world there are real, more classic superheroes out there. and Im hoping her legacy is carried on in season 4 by starlight and a character I'm not naming but Im expecting a lot from him and his redemption arc
im happy we got to see her go in such a nice way. legit in a twisted way this is her happy ever after no powers a normal life a partner who loves her like how is that just not win after win. (insert male gaze i hate to see you go but i dont mind watching you leave energy)
Welp, it was interesting to be the only person in the premier. But the video itself is great! Didnt knew that bisexual people dont get their shine in media, that's something new for me!
I absolutely missed Maeve in season 4, well yes she needed some kind of distance as a character but still... I'm confident she will make the difference in the final season as she did in the most crucial moments until now. She doesn't give a fck because she's seen too much, but still has to be in the machine to survive, like most of us.
I love Maeve too and I think she would be discussed MUCH more if the show runners went through with her sacrifice fully. There’s no logical in-world reason why she should’ve survived. If they hadn’t set up Soldier Boy’s powers with Kimiko taking a blast, losing her powers immediately and having damage that almost killed her, I could’ve written it off. But by the rules that the show set earlier in the season, Maeve should’ve been depowered and died from the fall off of seven tower. A beyond noble sacrifice from a hero that found her way back from cynicism.
I hope Butcher got her pregnant and she keeps/kept the baby! Imagine how OP it could be with permanent + temp V DNA, on top of giving her an organic child with Elena.
You just know they will kill her off if not this season the next one fir sure Nobody ever gets a happy ending and she’s the closest one to that, so she will be one of the ones that gets killed probably off screen and we just see her head in homelanders room and her bloody tiara will be delivered to starlight
Maeve is fine but her blunt rudeness turns me off same with butcher (i ill never like him for killing Mesmer) i like kind characters like Hughie and Anne

If Queen wasn't already part of her name, I would've been adding it in there. ;)

There's also the fact that she sacrificed herself at the end of season 3. Fortunately she didn't die, but she was absolutely prepared to
She’s also named after a character in one of my favorite stories, Táin Bó Cúailnge. She lives up to her namesake.
Bless Dominic McElligott for bringing Maeve to life in such an effective & memorable way. Fantastic!

I love Maeve, but never understood why she didn't got more screen time. Dominique McElligott was so amazing.
Plus how despite being super competent, morals and all always on the right place she's not a mary sue.

CAN YOU MAKE AN ANALYSIS ON ASHLEY I LOVE YOUR VIDS SM 😭
Love her
Loved this!
Only character on the show to actively sacrifice herself for the greater good.

I think it's one of those things where she landed _on_ something soft and squishy (being soldier boy).
