Why Does Everyone LOVE Bree Van de Kamp from "Desperate Housewives"?

- I know, I know. Literally no one asked for it. But I am really passionate about this show, and I had to dump my passion into a video sometime soon. And this character is by far my favorite from this show. That's not exactly an unpopular opinion, either. Most fans are extremely drawn to Bree Van De Kamp, and there's several reasons why.
She's not necessarily always my favorite housewife, as this show goes on for a really long time, so there are times I prefer Gabby's storyline, or Lynette's...Susan's not so much. But that's for another video. But either way, I always rooted for her success and cheered every time she bested her foes. She eats up every scene because of the great casting and the textured writing.
By the end of the series, it's hard not to be in love with her from her growth, and to want the absolute best ending possible because of the work she's put in. It's truly a feat for to watch this character throughout the seasons becomes someone so lovable and warm, despite the cold place she began in.
I know this was unasked, but I hope you enjoyed nonetheless! I clearly spent a lot of time talking about her. What inspired this to be my longest video? Who knows...

What I love about Bree is she's not a hypocrite, she may be harsh, but she holds herself to high standards too and can take accountability.
Bree might have been the first character that really made me think about how I can love a character without necessarily agreeing with their actions or ways of thinking. She is the true icon of Desperate Housewives and those few episodes she was absent due to Marcia Cross' pregnancy, are among the weakest of the show.

The only negative thing they did with Bree was ruining her relationship with Orson, I know the writers wanted drama but Orson eventually torturing her didn't make sense.
I heard the actor for Orson said he'd only come back if he were to play a villain so I guess that's that.

I would LOVE to see some sort of analysis of Gaby’s experience going through being 100% childfree (with the mindset included) and losing a child (or the promise of a child) multiple times before becoming the character that the others would look to as a “bad” mom. I also think it’s worth noting that in season 1, Lynette was portrayed as the unhappy/resentful mother in early seasons but later grew out of the role.

I LOVED THIS video within the first 2 minutes!! Bree was such an iconic character. The last three seasons of the series really showed us a side of Bree that we’ve never seen before and it really made us appreciate the quality of her character development so well. Let me tell you her clothes really brought out her overall personality and the hair too. 😍

Yesterday I found our the show turned 20, I simply looked up "Desperate Housewives" and this was among the top videos. It was such a delight to find as Bree is my favorite housewife! I never thought I'd root for such a character but as stated in this video everyone likes an underdog. Fantastic video btw!
Every well-known show has that one iconic character who isn’t necessarily the main one, but is just as if not more well known and beloved than the actual lead.
Samantha Jones, Ned Flanders, Blair Waldorf, Michael Scott…and that’s what Bree is to Desperate Housewives.

Do you plan on doing any deep character dives on “Once Upon a Time” characters such as the iconic Rumplestilskin, Hook, or Regina, The Evil Queen? The two are the most iconic characters in the OUAT series.
Unfortunately, I haven't watched any of Once Upon a Time, so I can't really have an informed opinion on it (plus, it'll take me a while to get through it- long show lol)
