Love your quality of work are u willing to make me a Cuban link looking to get 6.5 mm 24inch sterling silver cuban with raised JR on the box lock im serious about this and would love to do business thank you in advance.
Hey Huss. im looking to try out some chain making. but the entry cost is quite high, would it be safe to assume your finished wire before making coils would be the same as 999 silver wire from a bullion dealer like Cooksons? also is there a formula to work out how many rings to a complete chain or bracelet? love the vids
@@MadeByHuss yeah what i mean tho is i dont have the tools to forge the silver then mill it and draw it out, so i was wondering if jewelers silver wire from off the shelf would work. or should i invest in the tools straight away? thanks for your reply
@@dawmartin2060 what I would do is start with copper wire allready made just to get a idea and if don't have the tools then yes buy it ready made unless your making money then invest in tools
@@MadeByHuss thanks mate, i want to get the tools but i dont want to go all in until i get to grips with things. keep the videos coming! love them! have you made anymore pendants since the pistol?
Daw Martin kist The coin holder but I have one idea to make soon now I’m just trying out another Cuban link and it’s not working out the way I would like it hopefully it’s works and I’ll have another video out soon
hey man i just bought 2mm aluminum wire to practice making my own cuban links. what size hole would you suggest i coil my wire to maybe a 3.5 center hole so when i oval the link its a solid 2mm wide and there no gaps in my link?
1st you can try out what you think just to find out if it works but I think you should make it 4.5mm because you need to flatten it a little after this will give you some room but all ways try different sizes you will learn a lot doing this how ever I'm not sure about aluminium can you solder it? If not try using copper hope this helps all the best
@@MadeByHuss with aluminium you can braze it. kinda just apply a low heat torch and tap over the weld area with and aluminum rod and it brazes over the gap. soldiering not possible but theres ways to make an aluminum weld with out an mig or tig:) . (side note) sadly my 3.5 mm hole was to small. so when i went to cut links i just uncoiled my coil a bit by hand and it widened them as needed so it worked out.. i have alot of "thrashed links" so im gonna braze on those first see how cleanly i can get them to take the braze. thanks so much for posting your videos now i have confidence enough to feel ok spending money on silver or collecting scrap silver to try this with real silver im pretty confident in my link shaping ability once i have the right tools :) not to mention this is pretty relaxing cant wait for your next uploads man your work is hand down the best hand made stuff iv come across
@@MadeByHuss how much time does it take to make a chain and what does the set up cost for the work shop? I see a kg of pure silver is just over a grand aussie dollars.. was thinking if i can 10x that by making a few chains i'd look into it.. do these things sell relatively fast? Where do you market your products on etsy.com?

Is the box class comfortable? It looks like it sticks in the neck.
Kyle Osnack not at all I where it and don’t feel it
Did you make this and the chain out of solid silver of .925? I just ordered 10 ounces of silver to give this a run for the money.
Notmy Realname yes made from 925 silver all the best
what is the solder that you use? is it just melted silver? and how much does it cost for a silver smithing set up?
easy silver solder

Huss. Is there a way to harden the tongue without hammering? How long do you hammer for? Cheers and thanks for the cool videos.
If you can use a lazer machine to solder its best to do it in two places if you have to hammer it it’s just enough to make it hard I test it as I go
@@MadeByHuss Thank you friend.
