Main steps to making the white gold chain (see below):
00:00 Weighing the 24K gold and alloy to make white gold chain.
00:09 Melting the gold in the crucible to make the 14K bar.
00:43 Scanning bar with Niton XL2 XRF Analyzer to show the metallic elements in the mix.
00:49 Stretching the gold bar through rolling mills, presses, and drawplate machine to form the correct gauge wire.
01:52 Rolling the gold wire onto a copper rod using a drill to form a coil.
02:30 Cutting the white gold coil to form the individual links.
02:55 Joining and soldering the links together to make the raw chain.
03:50 Twisting chain to align links using an industrial twisting machine before they're filed down.
04:49 Gluing the chain to a board with Shellac glue and filing the links down to give it a flat look.
06:25 Affixing and welding the clasp to the chain and polishing.
07:15 Modeling the final white gold Cuban chain.

Wow, the artistry behind this chain is mind-blowing! 🤯
Thank you very much!
It's not only the chains that are gold, these videos are 24kt gold. Well done guys!
Thank you for the feedback! 👍🙏
It never gets old watching these. Art.
You guys make these chains works of art. Almost All other cuban link chains I've seen (except for a few other makers who are cuban) made by other companies look like straight garbage. La verdad my friends! Stay blessed!
🙏
Beauty in hard work!
Perfection ! Matches Carlos's silver/grey beard perfectly, awesome look. Much love London Uk.

Looking good 👍
Thanks!
I appreciate the hard work and skills involved in the manufacturing process but I'd want my gold to look...Gold 💛
Yes, most people either want yellow or rose gold.
Nice chain I'll be to buy one from yous one day much love from chicago 💙💯🙏💪
Chain making is an easy task.I made so many chains as an apprentice bench jeweller in JOHANNESBURG.twisting, soldering, filing and sanding does take time.Making sure the chain LIES STRAIGHT is the way to check your workmanship.I did my 5 years apprenticeship in IGOLI,The place of gold.I started my career in 1982.
Thank you for making the jewelry you enjoy.
wow so nice
Thank you very much!
Doesn't look like there's a rhodium plating on it. Looks beautiful. You can see the pale yellow as the light hits it.
After twisting with the machine why do you still hand twist after that? Why not just run it through the rolling mill after twisting???
Width and Length?
I'm not a jewelry guy, but this is very impressive. Would the white gold be heavier or lighter than 18k gold for this size necklace?
White good cause they use a lot more alloy to create the white/silvery color.
Doesn’t matter the color it’s just 14kt he showed u with the X-ray gun all the alloys in the necklace and my guess the necklace would be heavier if done in 18k
@@boutstaxx guess that confirms how much I am NOT a jewelry guy. 😀
What do you use to weld the ends together? Is that gold too?
Gold solder.
How much does a chain like that cost
what are the white beads?
Silver. That's used as an alloy to take the gold from 24kt to 14kt. The final necklace will be podium plated to give the final white look.
Под футболку надо носит только верхни часть должен быт виден
HomeRun ...once again
👍👍🙏
Why do they call these Cubans? Just curious
the main thing I learned in this video is that Carlos has gotten fat
Funny!
Cut the rings by hand you would have no grinding waste then unprofessional😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Seriously, maybe somebody can answer why take gold which is so beautiful and make it “white?“ Why not just silver or something? It’s like buying a blue diamond, why not just get a sapphire (I’m not a gemstone person so maybe that’s obvious, just not to me), I’m sure you get the point.
I've been asking myself this for years. I understand that the "white" and the "shine" is different between white gold and silver but not enough for me to get white gold over silver. I prefer making my Cuban chains out of 99-98% silver.
Because silver oxidizes…they turn black and would need another thorough cleaning.
“White,” is not GOLD, I never understood that, what not just get platinum if you want “white,” metal? Palladium is also becoming popular, more expensive that Platnium as well? and wonder if they make jewelry out of that. I think I will go check.
Platinum is extremely difficult to work with. 14k white gold made from palladium (no nickel) is easier. More Intricate designs can be made with less labor. Platinum also has a higher premium in jewelry if you ever sell it.
White gold is simply easier. In addition, gold does not look good on pale skin.
Platinum is super expensive. White gold is more affordable with the same look.
This is all construction work , this is not fine jewelry making all this stupid huge chains is like doing constrution is like a job for a plumber or someone preparing concrete to make a wall , the people that dont know how to make jewelry get impress by this , make a video of doing a 2mm or a 3mm chain by hand to see if you can pull that off not using laser or any modern soldering equipment thats a real challenge not this stupid huge chains a plumber could make
Now, tell me how you really feel 🤔
