Nice how you show all the steps clearly, explain & demonstrate. We get to see the lovely final product & learn how it was fabricated learning techniques we can apply in similar situations. So helpful, informative & inspiring, reminiscent of the great Jimmy Diresta. Thank you for sharing!

    Thank you for this!
I do know of goldsmiths/metalsmiths who made scoring tools out of the tangs of old needle files to make crisp/precise folds when making boxes and scored lines.
It had never occurred to me to that I could use a square graver as a scoring tool - genius!
I could use power-assist but hand pushing will work too I reckon. I’m much better at holding a straight line with a graver compared to scoring lines using a square/triangle file which (for me) tend to end up looking skewed and uneven. 🙂

Im enjoying your channel. You really film well. I'm guessing 99% of viewers don't have a Graver Max. Using a file is totally doable and makes the shown procedure successful without having a $4000 tool. Thank goodness! Also, I'm wondering why you use easy solder - at all? Thanks for sharing your experience,.it's a sweet simple and very precise box clasp, so good to see good teaching! 👏

I couple of weeks ago I used an older video of yours to make a box latch. It was really helpful.
