I think I’m going to try to make it… in copper! 😊 Only because I’m bound to make dozens of mistakes (or, maybe not) but I’ve learned from past experiences, costly past experiences mind you, to always do new things in copper! LOVE. What is the name if the product (putty like material) you used to hold the two sides together before hinge prep? Also, what guage SS did you use?
This is simply beautiful! I was wondering is the hole without the wire bit smaller so the side with wire snaps in? Or it snaps in with the same size hole? ❤
Excellent and informative video, Well done! My only question. How are your hands so clean?? I've been away from my bench for a week now and my fingers are still looking a little dirty from ingrained metal dust. Don't think I'll ever have clean fingers again.
I'm glad you like it. Make sure to heat it on one side, and the other side is still below the melting point of the solder. Use the heat to direct the flow of the solder.
