- In 2021 I did a requested series focussing on playing Steve's parts from the In The Round concert, so this time I am following up with a series on Phil's. For any new subscribers I have gained in the last couple of years, I used to mainly upload Def Leppard content. From 2011 - 2017, I uploaded covers of pretty much the whole main discography, minus the Yeah! album and a couple of acoustic tracks (You can find here - ruclips.net/p/PLu.... Looking back, naturally I think every video can be improved on, especially video quality wise. I always find I hear new things over time too and start realising that certain parts can be played differently and maybe more accurately. So I always like the opportunity to correct anything from a video that is numerous years old.

I use a Jackson DK2 into a Boss Me50 into a Palmer Pdi-09 into a Focusrite Scarlett into my computer running Logic Pro X.
(For the acoustic part I use my Washburn and recorded it with my iPhone camera mic)

It took a while to do this as I didn't have an acoustic to hand, so I got to it over the holidays while back at my parents in Scotland, where my old Washburn acoustic lies. I used the bootleg soundboard of this show, as well as the Mountain View show to hone in on Phil's cool rhythm parts. I have no idea about the shred acoustic bit though...😅. See you in the New Year!

I was there when they taped In The Round and the atmosphere was electric! Thanks for including the part of the video where the guys reacted to us singing. It is my best concert memory EVER! I will be seeing them mid June in Atlanta Georgia.

Great job! My first concert was the Hysteria tour in Biloxi, MS September 1988. When they started this acoustic I thought it was going to end that way. When they paused, the lights went dark, the crowd started cheering & I thought they were going into the next song.
Then WHAM! The lights came up & it finished electric. Still the best moment at a concert I’ve ever experienced. The video doesn’t do it justice.
Still one of the best concerts for me ever!!! Hearing this version takes me back to all its glory...waxing nostalgic for sure. 👍🤟🍻

Great video man, well done. Great cover of a great song. The 'In The Round' version of this song is almost like DL's version of Zeppelin's Stairway.
Amazing work on this - I can't tell you how much I like hearing your work on these In the Round Songs. I feel like this was the pinnacle of the band.
I usually HATE when songs differ from the album but this one is just amazing. The VERY first chord that Steve hits has this dreamy tone that I'm guessing has something to do with his 12-string and a strong chorus. The flamenco part that Phil adds is just the perfect counterpart.
And their timing was impeccable - if you know the video as well as I do, you know the look they give each other after this intro which starts the main riff.
Great channel and this all brings back so many memories including the songs that aren't Leppard.
