I give it to Joe for not cancelling due to having bronchitis but to have it televised I think was a bad move. For a lot of people they won't know the whole story and think he's a bad singer. He's a fighter that's for sure which is what I like about this band. Long live Def Leppard and long live rock and roll~
The point is : Joe's voice is obviously off. He's sick or something BUT!!!! He STILL does it 100% LIVE!!! 99% of "big stars" would be lip syncing. Most lip sync when they are not sick. Bravo Joe. I never saw a bad show from these guys
i do too. from 1980 all the way up to the HYSTERIA world tour 87-88. that's my most memorable years of steve up until after ADRENALIZE was released in the early 90s. he died right before thie album came out. so glad they still managed to record it without him. to me his passing marked the end of a great era. the 1980s was a fun time..best of times specially 1987 - 1990. seen tooo manny bands...too maaannyyy. damn what a decade that was. 1988 was the best year of my life.
What year was this song done?and its 2020 what are you guys doing today 2021 will be here before you know it. Are you going to just keep going on until the very end?
🥀Awesome Job Guys Ya can't stop Joe even when he's sick bless his heart but he's so determined to keep in touch with his fans and that's a true artist. Thank you Guys🥀🤘
Joe had bronchitis for about a month but didn't want to stop the vault promotional tour. You can see him coughing into a towel in between songs and interviews during this gig.
Brenda MacK He also threw up blood in 2014 every night while on tour but refused to take a night off because to Joe the show must always go on, no matter what.
Never seen this really shows there raw talent ! I was never a huge fan but i do still like some of there music ! After all the years ! I grew up in a crazy time
Usually when they are on shows like this, they are on a tour which means DOZENS of shows. It's not easy to sing real rock vocals for decades!! I don't know if there is a band that's done more live, real -not lip synced- performances than Def Leppard)
Vivian is an amazing guitar player and singer. He fits in the band really well. I'd love to hear him play Rainbo in the dark or last in line at a Def Leppard show. Hes written some amazing songs. For White Snake Dio and Def Leppard.
El hecho de que no cante bien en una presentación tampoco significa que haya perdido su voz, si te gusta cantar te darás cuenta que no sonarás igual siempre, aunque tengas buenos hábitos habrá veces que algo que no puedas controlar te afectará. Singing "bad" in one show doesn't mean that he has lost his voice, even if you take care of your voice there will be bad days, things out of your control.
You know I have been getting some negative comments from other people who know that I have said nothing but wonderful things about you guys and I really don't want to repeat some of their comments because they were pretty mean I said to just keep their negative attitudes and bad words to themselves because I know how much you guys have been through I wasn't there of course but I read about these things plus I have heard you talk about them well just remember that they are full of crap to me but I love you guys and you also have fans that love you and that is all that should matter
That moment at 0:59 when the whole band locks in is just sonic magic. It might not be difficult, most bands could probably do it but I’ve heard few who make it sound as good as DL do in this recording.
Love your voice Joe E. Btw know that lost voice feeling too.Bravo either way it didn't dull the audience applause after all were all only human beings.
These guys were the shit. On Through the Night, High N Dry, Pyromania, Hysteria. Couldn't touch em. I want to pound on them a little for this performance, but my love for those Golden Days, especially High N Dry ...I have too much respect, and should the day come when I meet Joe Elliott, it will be with a smile, a nod, a bow. ...Good show, man. You guys rock. -DW
Don White I will, in fact I even am going to perform in front of people for the first time, of course its Def Leppard the song is White Lightning. I'm just hoping my voice doesn't go bad
This song makes me feel sleepy I listen to every night before I go to bed it helps me to calm down it also has to be this version also two steps behind and when love and hate collide all acoustic versions
Yeah I saw Def Leppard two years ago and Joe sounded as good as ever. People just don't understand that singing like that night after night puts a hell of a lot of strain on the vocal chords. He's not a machine he's a man.
this is the same feeling i get when i c my pretty neighbor or hear her voice 2 bad 4 me she already has a boyfriend but i still get hysterical hysteria when she's near
I saw a KT vocal coach academy who talks about his vocal abilities. Definitely not the best singer for the genre. However they do great David Bowie covers due to the fact that they both use their voice at their best. Steel Panther's singer is an example of a great and very versatile singer. No hate, just an analysis.
Sounds like his voice needed a rest and some water. Used to sing in a choir, my voice sounded like this whenever my throat got dry and/or tired. No doubt he was singing long before he did this song that night. One not so good play of a song done millions of time over perfectly and almost everybodys a critic and says hes washed up. Dont think so.
Phil, were you playing an Ovation? I love the sound of that guitar, (cheap and good sound for the money) but how the hell did you keep it on our lap without a guitar strap?
JOE IS MUCH BETTER NOWADAYS ! IN THE 90'S, SPECIALLY ON SLANG ERA, HIS VOICE WAS A LITTLE WORSE. HIS VOICE ON THE LAST TOUR WAS SUPREME. HE ROCKS AND NOBODY HERE CAN MAKE IT BETTER
Yes, this is terrible, but listen to performances from 7-day weekend tour. It was pure perfection :) His best era was 87-92, after that everything goes down...
one of the most underrated bands of the 80's
hahahha
Thee Mostest
Underrated!?!? They were the biggest.
@@ScottieWallace The biggest
This is THE BAND that survived it ALL. The Stones been through it yeah but They kept their ARMS!!!
DEF LEPPARD is a Whole focus
A very guitar rich song that you can't help but love. Never get tired of this....
I am 65 and been a life long follower of Dep Leppard. Seen them in 86 98 and 2012? The chemistry of these guys is incredible. Rock on!
I give it to Joe for not cancelling due to having bronchitis but to have it televised I think was a bad move. For a lot of people they won't know the whole story and think he's a bad singer.
He's a fighter that's for sure which is what I like about this band. Long live Def Leppard and long live rock and roll~
He still sounded the same to me somehow. I'm a 3rd generation fan to boot.
Ouch flying to the angels still love the Def Leppard.👏👏👏👏🤘👂🤘beautiful song always!❤
Def Leppard needs to re-record THIS version of the song when Joe Eliot's voice is spot-on because this version is incredible..
The point is : Joe's voice is obviously off. He's sick or something BUT!!!! He STILL does it 100% LIVE!!! 99% of "big stars" would be lip syncing. Most lip sync when they are not sick. Bravo Joe. I never saw a bad show from these guys
Exactly!! 👍🏻
You step down for acoustic.
He gets laryngitis
For sure was sick, he can still belt it out today
I love Joe's voice even with brochitis! he can sing the phone book and I will love it!!!
😊😊😊😊❤yes!
😂😂
The best pop metal band during my hi school days and still rockin up to this day
I feel so bad that Joe was sick during this acoustic session, he really is a fighter for hanging on, despite his sickness!
I didn't know he was sick he still sounds amazing
1:29 look at his stunning smile...love you Joe!
i do too. from 1980 all the way up to the HYSTERIA world tour 87-88. that's my most memorable years of steve up until after ADRENALIZE was released in the early 90s. he died right before thie album came out. so glad they still managed to record it without him. to me his passing marked the end of a great era. the 1980s was a fun time..best of times specially 1987 - 1990. seen tooo manny bands...too maaannyyy. damn what a decade that was. 1988 was the best year of my life.
Steve should be there. Damn it. Missing you, Steve. R.I.P.❤
What year was this song done?and its 2020 what are you guys doing today 2021 will be here before you know it. Are you going to just keep going on until the very end?
Rip 🪦 steve Clark 😢😭

yobpel a Yes
Thank you for the info, that was weird. I could not understamd why he couldn't understand
Yeah. You can tell his voice wasn't at full strength here
Aww he has a cold.What a trooper. :)
Brenda MacK He also threw up blood in 2014 every night while on tour but refused to take a night off because to Joe the show must always go on, no matter what.
For those of you living in the UK you may want to get out of there there were 50.000 deaths from COVID19
thanks for all the years of your music.. love you all.

You know, whenever I hear this song it does remind me of Steve. Especially the Live in The Round one. Lovely version!
Joe, you're so hot!
Wow! Rick Allen playing standard acoustic drums again...nice to see. Go man, go!
Just ❤. God bless you all. ( Since 1987 in my own history )
Love Def Leppard!!!!!!! ❤ Joe!!
He was suffering but he still did it.awsome!
My absolute favorite DL SONG 💗
Like Joe alluded to, this song is like a fine wine. It just gets better with age.
Great vocals from Sav and Phil
Acoustic format never dies, no matter how much passes.
I love 💕 watching Def Leopard gig ❤🎉
Greatest band from the 80s
Beautiful acoustic version. Clear and lively.
Vivian is an amazing guitar player and singer. He fits in the band really well. I'd love to hear him play Rainbo in the dark or last in line at a Def Leppard show. Hes written some amazing songs. For White Snake Dio and Def Leppard.
Vivian Campbell is terrible Steve Clark was 10 times better and they could have found a better replacement then Vivian
@@paddycoombes9455 Steve Clark was an amazing guitar player, I never said he wasnt nor compare the two.
@@paddycoombes9455 Vivian has some amazing guitar solos not only for Def Leppard but for Dio also

Igual estaba enfermo, antes muy bravo cantando y no dejar el show botado ❤️
Great performance! Live is awesome!
The days when Phil Collen could afford t-shirts
aahaaahahahahaha

Don White I'm a 3rd generation fan and I'm glad to have grown up listing to their music. I'm only 14 but my dreams are to meet them.
Rock on, my friend. High n Dry is as good as it gets. HEADS UP: check out the entire RIOT album -FIRE DOWN UNDER. You'll cream. -DW

super ich uwielbiam ich i ciebie . Brawo to jest fantastycznie by tak uwielbiać tą muzykę i ciebie....... ...
You are right, they are the best memories of that year of 1988.
I really like this version.

Love ya lads ...legends still rocking 2020 hugs bobby bristol boy...
Genial
I remember this Joe had missed like 3 weeks or so with a throat sickness and shouldn't have came back for this performance.
'91 was bad News with STEVE CLARK R.I.P.
Sweet song
One song I will love forever fantastic
unplugged and unshaved.. lol... good sense of humour..
Beautiful....
Rick Allen rocking it on an acoustic kit. Awesome!
Wow, an acoustic version.
evimlck this sounds amazing despite the singer being really and all, and using acoustic guitars. 😇 this is a true piece of art!!!!!!!
this is the same feeling i get when i c my pretty neighbor or hear her voice 2 bad 4 me she already has a boyfriend but i still get hysterical hysteria when she's near

I agree that the Steel panther singer is way better than Joe Elliott. That band is so awesome👌
Turn back time they all look so young
Unplugged or Plugged ~ There's no better song than Hysteria and it describes how I've been feeling as of late ~ right, N8? ; )
Love this ❤❤❤ 06/23/2023
brilliant version of this!!!!
People can't read or hear the man talking? Joe was sick here. Jeeze!!
Colleen Grail I know right

....they gotta thank Mutt Lang for this one.....my fave!
Actually thank Sav.....he wrote the haunting guitar riff that was the genesis for the song.

@Rajbhandari88 man..it's from their album The Unplugged & Unshaved..don't u knw??!?
Poor Joe I heard he had bronchitis during this concert..but he still sounds good..all the boys are great..I could listen to them all night..❤
My boyfriend has the same feeling
Phil or Viv should have sung lead for him if he was sick.
Powerful. 👍
Quiero aprender esta canción
Give Joe a break. It's hard to sing a song like that sitting down and low volume, it's a power ballad.
he also had bronchitis during this
Def Leppard: Hey we can be Nirvana Unplugged too! 😆😉
Sounds like the end of strep throat to me. I've had it twice in the past few years and if just causes your voice to fail on the easiest vocal parts.
Hey Viv brakes the illusion that one can chew gum, sing and play guitar!
Nice song of DL
