- Part 4 of my series dedicated to showing Steve's parts on the In The Round concert release from the Hysteria tour. This is a re-upload from my 2019 cover in which I did exclusively play Steve's parts so I'm just putting it here and removing that one so that everything is now a bit more organised for this series.
For any new subscribers I have gained in the last couple of years, I used to mainly upload Def Leppard content. From 2011 - 2017, I uploaded covers of pretty much the whole main discography, minus the Yeah! album and a couple of acoustic tracks (You can find here - ruclips.net/p/PL9.... Looking back, naturally I think every video can be improved on, especially video quality wise. I always find I hear new things over time too and start realising that certain parts can be played differently and maybe more accurately. So I always like the opportunity to correct anything from a video that is numerous years old. Plus, I really love playing this stuff and Steve is one of, if not, my favourite guitarist.
This series will be in addition to my regular uploading too, so if you never enjoyed my Def Leppard stuff, just hang about a couple more days, cheers!

I use a Charvel DK24 (it's purple) into a Boss Me50 into a Palmer Pdi-09 into a Focusrite Scarlett into my computer running Logic Pro X.

missin dep leppard playing om stage ...im not american im pilipino but everytime i heard thier songs way back in the 80s 90s im a kid that moment but woooooooow its kicking thier music rock me not just dep leppard but most of the rock bands on those era music before compare to what music now its far ....

This page is amazing to me. Steve Clark is one of the reasons why I started playing guitar. Of course I have my own style completely with several different influences being present. But I always manage to pick his guitar sound out distinctly from Pete Willis and Phil Collin

Awesome - I do with Vivian would play a Les Paul with a whammy bridge when they play some of these songs today. While I get he wants/needs to make the parts his own now, it would still be nice if he could pay tribute to Steve's original parts once in awhile.

I really love your channel and I bet you write cool stuff of your own, stuff this world so desperately needs. My number one band is Scorpions but at some point I fell in love with Def Leppard and now these guys influence my musical thinking as well. I never got to record an album yet, but I was thinking maybe you did. Do you have stuff you could share with us? I'm russian but I find your music taste and things you do here so similar to what I like and love doing as well (fu*king around with cool 80s pop tunes for example). If I had (found) someone who loves and understands that very music... Oh boy) we'd be rocking the hell out of this crazy world

Hey man, I just wanted to know if Seymour Duncan distortion can sound like def Leppard guitar tone...cuz it's hard to find Dimarzio super distortion or super 3....can you tell me what pickup should I use(in Seymour Duncan) to emulate the def Leppard sound.
I don’t know how much your pickups can affect it. My Jackson is a stock Duncan Design pickup and this Charvel is a proper Full Shred model. There are differences but nothing I’d say that makes one more Def Leppard than the other. The amp tone and effects are more important in my opinion

Ben this may seem like a stupid question but.... thinking that Steve had mini humbuckers on his firebird and knowing that one can coil split full humbuckers for a thinner sound, is it possible to also split mini humbuckers?
I don’t see why not, but not sure of how good that would sound if it’s incredibly low output 🤔
