I am so glad you were able to find some valuable information. :) You're most welcome! And yes. 2 hours is just crazy. I haven't had a long check-in like that in a long time, if ever. Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to leave a comment! :) (Melinda)
@@Gate24Travel...we just came back on July 28...from Meraviglia....embarcation took less then 30min....desimbarkatio same our time was 8.30...we were in the parking lot at 9.00!! For us very efficient !!!
@@frankpicillo9527 That sounds wonderful! I'm so glad it didn't take y'all as long, so maybe the staff is getting the hang of things with embarkation. :) Thank you so much for letting us know! (Melinda)
Thank you so much for an extremely helpful video. One question, as MSC said they do not provide transportation from the ship to LaGuardia airport, where did you buy your ticket to board your airport bus? Can I buy it as I board the charter bus? And the cost of the ticket to your airport? Does anyone know if there are similar buses from, say, Newark Airport to the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal? I can find only very expensive limousine type charters. Much obliged, Carol
Hey, Carol! You're most welcome! I am surprised MSC said that they do not provide transportation to LaGuardia. On our cruise, once we got down to the spot where the transfers were coming to pick us up, one of the workers said that there are transfers to all three airports: JFK, LaGuardia, and Newark. We just had to make sure we got on the one for JFK. So, maybe that's something new for LaGuardia? To purchase a transfer, if you look under the Excursions tab, there should be a link to purchase airport transfers. I am not sure how much my husband paid for our transfers, but they are typically around $60-$70 per person, give or take $10 dollars or so. Hope this helps! Thanks for leaving such a great question!
Am Italian grew up LI NY, while booking our cruise my wife kept telling everyone we're going on the "merga villa' I cringed for days, Finally had to correct it. Lol 😂
Hello! :) You'[re most welcome! I honestly couldn't tell you exactly where the entrance is. We gave our Uber driver the address that MSC has for the Brooklyn terminal. But, somehow our driver missed a turn somewhere, or something of that nature that caused him to not be able to get us to the proper drop-off for the terminal. From where he ended up dropping us off on that side street, it was about a five-minute walk or so, if even that. If your Uber has to drop you off on a side street like that, the biggest hurdles with walking that could make it a longer walk are other cars and people, not necessarily distance. Hope that makes sense. Thank you so much for watching our video, and asking such great questions. (Melinda)
Hi, Kevin! :) No, I didn't actually see a shuttle for Newark. When we arrived at the shuttle pickup area, there was a shuttle waiting for those headed to LaGuardia. About five to ten minutes later, a shuttle arrived to JFK. So, we boarded quickly. I faintly remember a shuttle putting alongside us on the other side, but I don't know to which airport it was headed. I'm so sorry! Thank you for taking the time to watch our video. :) (Melinda)
A 2 hour check-in, especially with the priority line, is insane. I heard that it has gotten better, but your review is not old so Im hoping it truly has gotten better. We have a 12th flr balcony but did Fantastica, so no priority line for us. Thank you for sharing!
I hope it's gotten better too. :) I hope you have a great time on your cruise, and that all goes smoothly! You're most welcome! Thank you for taking the time to watch our video and leaving a comment. :) (Melinda)
