Aw dang! I completely forgot to mention his other comic, The Toa! That's another project of his that'll forever remain uresolved... in this timeline, anyway. I still believe Nick's out there, somewhere. He might not hear or see us, but who knows? Maybe there's a world where he finished everything he wanted to? We can only hope.

I really cant believe nick is gone. His passing was so unfortunate, and I will never look at a sharpie the same way again.
Initially thought "He's just gonna do the same thing as the Mega Bloks one? Not even try to hide it? Ok" but you did not disappoint with the double timeline hop. Happy April Fools.

I would be interested in you doing a quick rewind of the themes you talked about in this video in the season four finale, similar to how you did jack stone in the episode before the episode before last (I hope I got that right)

You know, when I first saw this guy, there was just something about the things he made, something about his voice, pure joy about what he was talking about. I've never paid him much attention, but now after his death, I just can't get over this feeling of regret. It's overwhelming
I’ve used the LEGO Rewind series so much while picking apart vintage lots. Literally pausing the videos constantly to identify elements, figures, etc. I am SO grateful for the obvious WORK it takes to dig up all these old images and clips. I always have a pad nearby to jot down notes. You’ve made the rabbit hole much more accessible Nick.
I have great respect for Nick. His approach was admirable and he made good stuff. A shame he got involved in that freak sharpie accident.
I lost my left arm to a permanent marker. It had a more... permanent effect on me than I thought it would.

It takes a very special April fools joke to still bring a tear to a person’s eye even when they know it’s a joke.
This was an April fool's joke within an April fool's joke just when you think you know the April fool's joke it completely changes on you someone should make a movie about this
the way i heard how Nick died was he had a bad reaction to a Sharpie. apparently Sharpies had started to use a supper toxic chemical in the ink to cut cost and multiple kid and adults dead from it being in contacted with the skin then later absorbed in to it. Newell Brands had to shut down because of the "health risks" RIP Nick your memory lives on with use
This is the hardest I've laughed at a lego rewind video in a long time
I’ve been jumping realities, so I actually came from the one where Nick did get to finish LEGO Rewind. That Bionicle episode was great! Shame you all couldn’t see it. But hey, this reality has a whole year before that asteroid! That’s the longest I’ve seen yet!
Not gonna lie, you had me excited by the thumbnail, and because it was April fools I thought it could be, since Kreo isn't lego, good one mate.
Man, I’m gonna miss Nick. Ever since I found his old Hero Factory mecha MOCs one summer, I’ve been checking in with the channel from time to time. Lego Rewind was my favorite content of his, and it’s a shame to know it’s never going to return. All because of one tragically misplaced sharpie. Man, this video brought out so many good memories. I remember DMing with Nick on Discord right after the season 2 recap finished. His last message to me was “was wondering if you'd like to see the cover for volume 5”. I told him I’d love to but he never responded. I think this was when the infamous sharpie accident happened. To think that there still may be Volume 5 artwork out there no one has seen.
Unfortunately the year only got worse from there but LEGO Rewind lead me to meet some awesome folks in the community. His influence can’t be understated for the AFOL community
This series introduced me to some sets I would never have known existed and now I appreciate and collect vintage LEGO. The series is the reason and it pains me to know it may be the end 🥲
Lego Rewind got me through the door, but some of my favorites were his reviews for games and movies outside of Lego.
RIP, Nick. Thank you for your hard work. I'm still reading and enjoying your books.

My name is Mr. Preston 16 and I dont exist in your timeline, I come from a timeline where Nick never passed away, he made videos on Ninjas, castles, Bricks, Hero factory, Chima, and even Bionicle, planet ripple got its own special series along the likes of and Beyond ( its like a worldbuilding series, I have to say this because the creator also died in your timeline before it could exist ), Nick modified his sets, such a shame you guys never got to experience his later works, I have to pay respects, also I am a new fan in this other timeline and in your today in my timeline he made lego rewind video that covered the exact same topic as this video, but in this timeline he didnt actually die, it was an april fools video, I wish I could say more but my time is out ;)
The great sharpie incident of 19 killed millions around the world and it was sad for me to hear that Nick had during those horrific events! My condolences to his family.

Epic, my expectations sure have been subverted.
I've been binging Nick's series since I found them in a USB archive I found in the wastes of my city 43 days ago. One episode would tide me over for multiple days, as I imagined myself playing with the sets he showed and making stuff and minifigs with the parts in them. It was food for the soul, when I couldn't find food for the body - after all, the asteroid's shock to the atmosphere had destroyed most of the flora and fauna in the world, even if some of us survived it.
I'm now at the finale, and I don't know what I'll do. I'm sticking this note onto the USB to remind myself of my first viewing, and I'll likely carry this archive with me as I journey south to where the ocean may still be able to feed me.
Man. That's sad. The rewind videos gave insight to themes I didn't really go into and each viewer had a theme they could reminisce with. I hope his family with have comfort.

The channel will definitely go down in history as one that was discovered too late. It's relaxing with that more subdued delivery. But the passion behind the words keeps it engaging.
Found it recently and it was a trip. Not only Lego Rewind, but his other stuff as well. I get that older RUclips vibe that I miss, but without that potential future cringe.
I honestly loved every episode of lego rewind it was so nostalgic and made me think back to the good old days

I was legit looking forward to a Kre-O rewind.
Finally, I made it here from the main timeline, I bet your wondering what I’m doing here, well I’m here to fill you in on what happened, in the main timeline, Nick is alive, the incident with the sharpie never happened, and you were correct on the hero factory episode! Next he would have done LEGO island Xtreme stunts, then res-q, time cruisers, a licensed episode focusing on Harry Potter and Star Wars, exploriens, then a legends of Chima episode, pirates, Ninja, a dank theme’s episode, castle, vintage, an episode focusing on everything else he missed, and your were spot on about bionicle! (Except for the fact it was One hour not five) and finally a look back on the hellish year that was 2020. Planet ripple continued, as well as covering monkey kid in a mega review! He’s also making a spider man comic, and making new planet ripple lore videos, also he just recently made a April fools video much in the same vein as what this is talking about, sharpie and everything, creepy... well that’s about it. I’d best get back to my own timeline before the time police come after me, it’s been one hell of a wild ride, and I hope you’ll all stick around, who knows, maybe next year I’ll come and report what’s he’s doing by then, until then, stay tuned..
