@@sebastiaanheide8796 no they were never "friends." They were only people who had mutual interests, when one showed up with the other, you'll notice that there's usually a reason for it. Remember in the Election Arc, Hisoka genuinely thought about killing Alluka to earn Killuas rage or kill Killua to have Illumi's. He's always been focused more on fighting and they have alluded to at one point they'll probably kill the other. As they dont have much of a use for the other now, they're fair game as someone to be killed

The current arc is so complex that the video only covers half of whats going on. This video doesn't mentions about the new mafia groups and the war between them with way too many characters involved, the troupe also gets mixed up with mafia.

That's just a rumor but given that I haven't heard his health has improved that much and how damn good some of the Dark Continent Arc art has been, I believe it.

Exactly ! The amount of arcs and events that happened in the tiny piece of the world h x h was set in the dark continent is gonna be crazy But I doubt we’ll ever even get to it tbh
I also want to see how Netero and his team explored the Dark Continent in a small arc. That would be epic.
That is the thing, I believe the reason of all of this happening just in the known world, and incredibly slow chapters, is that the story will end with the dark continent. Either it ends with an open ending, like the hunters discovering a new and to never be told adventure, or everyone get's killed by overpowered nen monsters/gods and humanity is then again locked in their small tiny world.
With so much inner turmoil going on in that ship ( especially with Hisoka, Phantom Troupe, AND Kuropika on board!!) I don’t see how anyone other than Beyond Netero and the Zodiacs making it alive lol
Entering into dark continent can be more like entering into grand line in one piece...
Togashi is a genius writer, but I must say he is flexing a little too hard in this arc. The plot was already tremendously complex and intricate, but Togashi keeps introducing even more elements into the mix. I think it was during the latest run of chapters he added another layer of confusion to the princes/guards. We get it Togashi, you're exceptional at this sort of thing!
It is an extremely fun and tense arc though. All of this build up with so many powerhouses onboard the whale. I feel there's going to be a moment where everything reaches a boiling point and chaos will be unleashed.

I genuinely feel lie Togashi is doing this to spite Oda. As if to say "See, I can also create a ridiculously large world with extremely intricate and ever increasing complex schisms."

This Arc is such an amazing clustf*ck of complicated factions, goals, personalities and unknown powers/abilities. Not to mention this is just the story of the commute to the main arc which is so hyped regardless of the absence of Gon and Killua.

I recently stumbled upon your channel and so far I'm really enjoying your recaps and summaries. When you said getting into deeper detail would greatly extend the length of the video, I certainly wouldn't mind seeing one of those from your channel.
It will be a while before HxH comes back, and even longer before the story advances a notable amount; it would be nice to get reliable recaps from a good source.
This arc is impressive in scope and detail! I can't wait to see how Hisoka, Kurapika, and the Spiders finally showdown.

@@0816M3RC Togashi's health. He's been going on hiatuses every time he finishes a few chapters. Considering the lengths of them, as well as his own public statements, his health is not great and working on this series takes a toll on him. Thus, I imagine POPO is showing sympathy for the man and his family, as his general well-being should be prioritized over writing a manga.

I find that the Succession War arc is probably the most interesting arc for me. I keep coming back to HxH and never get bored of re-reading this arc. The characters are awesome, Kurapika is in center, and the stakes are high for everyone.
Shows how much you can do in 10 chapter batches. Easy to forget how important every chapter is, one piece and others just spam them without much content. Already best HXH arc for me. Togashi improved the art aswell.

this series can go in so many directions, that if it were to make a return, would have one piece's level of lore with seemingly no end to it in terms of episodes. no way all of this story, kurapika's future, the hunter association, the dark continent, beyond netero, the succession war, the backstories of all these new characters, gyro's plan going into motion and his eventual fated encounter with gon, gon's future, killua's future, the phantom troupe.. all of this stuff, into a hundred episodes, it feels like 1000 more episodes just might suffice. but you know what, i'm all for it. from the first episode of hxh to where we are at now, this is an absolutely unfathomable difference.

I wouldn't be surprised if something happens that shotens what fans thinks the show can extend to, most of togashis arcs in hxh have all had extremely uncommon and odd endings almost nobody was predicting, as far as we know everyone on the ship just dies except a few who make it off to the dark continent and their plotlines get wrapped up immediately we really don't know.
Aside from that assuming we actually get the dark continent arc, it could mostly be about ging finding don and pariston causing everyone else issues as they try to work together to survive and then when they head back to the normal world gyro has taken over because all the power vacuums and then the show ends with that, overall i wouldn't be surprised if it was surprisingly short, at least compared to what people are expecting. But togashi also has a habit of taking his time so who knows if its 1000 episodes we probably aren't getting the full story unfortunately

cool video. also the V5 are the countries that brought back the 5 calamities with each country participating in an excursion into the DC at some point in the past. Basically they all gave up on loot from the DC and got jelly Kakin is flexing hence the V6.
The Hunter Association might be ill-prepared for Beyond Netero who is using Kakin to gain access to the dark continent because he's been planning and preparing for another expedition into DC for a long time meanwhile the Zodiacs are too far behind.

It's absolutely possible. As OP as Emperor Time is, its draw backs are insane. I don't remember exactly how much time it takes from you per second of usage, but if he continues to use it the way he is he most likely won't make it to the Dark Continent.

I've never read Manga but I'm thinking of making an exception for HxH since its my all time favorite anime. Where would be a good place for me to start looking/reading? I've seen all the episodes and the ending seemed super rushed, glad to see there is still more to the story than Gon and his dad climbing a tree.
I finally made myself watch the series the first season was slow for me but after that I fell in love with this series at is amazing
This entire arc seems like it should end in disaster, in a bad way, considering how convoluted it seems. But this is Togashi we're talking about. When everything eventually comes to a head at the climax of the arc, it's going to be absolutely fucking nuts. In a good way. It's going to be a massacre too. Like, Game of Thrones levels of death.
You could easily make a 2 hour video on just speculating and analyzing the info we have on this arc so far, I really hope togashi continues writing this amazing series. But I understand and see how daunting and intimidating it feels to tackle all of this, not even including some of his medical complications . . .
