Fujin Pro Glider Paper Airplane Tutorial

Originally created 15 years ago from the date of this tutorial, in 2007. I was an after school care provider at a preschool and wanted to create a paper plane with a handle for my preschoolers. Two such models came to my mind, resulting in the glider Fujin, named after the Japanese god of the wind, and likewise the dart/stunt plane Raijin, the god of Thunder.
Fujin was an already good glider that evolved into something even more amazing within the last year thanks to some new flight dynamic principles I picked up from several paper plane-folding masters. The aforementioned “handle” part is Fujin’s crowning feature that acts as a multi-purpose part of the plane: a fin/rudder, a handle, a stand, and a wing/body-locking mechanism. Like other gliders, it prefers gentle (but still firm) tosses, and it can go quite a good distance in the right hands.
