Understanding encompasses anything and everything, it highlights the very existence of humanity. As such, if you have anything to think, anything to do, or anything to say: some kind of understanding is required. Thus, the meaning of life for us is to continuously strive to find a better understanding. Perhaps starting by understanding yourself, and what makes you happy.
Backlash Glider/ Boomerang Paper Plane Tutorial (credit to The Origami Aviator).
The wonderful boomerang paper plane known as Backlash was originally introduced as a boomerang/glider by its creator, the artist Josh of the channel previously known as “Origamix,” then “Project Paper,” and then “The Origami Aviator.” Currently (at the time of this post) his channel has been deleted and he has seemingly gone dark. The tutorial for Backlash has also disappeared from the internet [due to Josh maybe suffering another one of his identity crisis’] and it is unknown if he will ever return under a new nameplate. Luckily, I have folded Backlash many times for my elementary students at Hale Keiki School, so many that I have devised the simplest way on how to fold it. Now if you ar...

Needle Fighter paper plane tutorial (designed by TRIKDANG)
Просмотров 6162 месяца назад
Tri Dang of TriKdang channel has graced me with his blessing to post this tutorial on a plane that I got to name for him from one of his paper plane naming contests. Enter Needle Fighter, a long base dart with a needle pointed nose. The students at my school liked it so much that that felt I should make a folding tutorial, so here it is! A word of caution to those that fold Needle Fighter: It i...
Origami Phone Stand easy and deluxe version tutorial w/ explanations.
Просмотров 1893 месяца назад
This Origami Phone Stand is easy to make and even the deluxe version of this model should be simple enough to follow along in this tutorial with my explanations. I watched an ad online that was trying to sell people a “folding” plastic portable phone stand. I thought it better to fold your own stand out of paper for free, or at least at the cost of piece of paper cut into a square from a US Let...
Aethon paper plane alternate folding sequence tutorial (Foldable Flight)
Просмотров 5624 месяца назад
I was given permission to post this tutorial on my channel from Aethon’s creator, Kyle Boyer of Foldable Flight. Aethon was the most requested paper plane from my Summer School students at Hale Keiki School (2024), and just by watching it soar through the air it is not hard to see why. After folding it so many times, I had naturally discovered a simplified folding sequence for Aethon that inclu...
Wisp 2, Paper Plane tutorial (designed by JB’s Dad).
Просмотров 5165 месяцев назад
I consider Wisp 2 to be an unsung legend. Not many people seem to know of it, but it holds a special place in my heart, especially because I am the one who came up with the name for it. Wisp 2 is a hybrid (the classification in-between being a dart and a glider) that has alway been a favorite among the elementary students of Hale Keiki School. The designs of Wisp 2 and Whisper are credited to “...
SHIG Pro paper plane tutorial, dual lock version (Michael La Fosse)
Просмотров 2646 месяцев назад
Originally created by Michael G. Lafosse and Richard Alexander in tribute to the late Dr. Shigeo Kondo MD (May 27, 1922- December 27, 2020) using a square sheet of Kami paper, the SHIG glider boasted longer distance flights than the typical paper airplanes that I fold for my elementary students and has earned a spot as a routine selection (from a bag of planes that I fill up for every Friday’s ...
Fujin Easy Glider paper airplane tutorial
Просмотров 5319 месяцев назад
Originally created nearly 17 years ago from the date of this tutorial, in 2007. I was an after school care provider at a preschool and wanted to create a paper plane with a handle for my preschoolers. Two such models came to my mind, resulting in the glider Fujin, named after the Japanese god of the wind, and likewise the dart/stunt plane Raijin, aka the god of Thunder [and also Grand Prize win...

Raijin paper airplane tutorial
Просмотров 1,5 тыс.Год назад
Raijin (pronounced Rye-gin) is named after the Japanese god of thunder. I originally developed this paper airplane for preschoolers to be able to hold onto and throw better, but later found my older students playing with it and asking me to make them one. Raijin’s iconic central fin (shared with it’s brethren glider model, Fujin) has multiple uses in this design: a body lock that holds the fuse...
F-18 Super Hornet paper jet airplane tutorial (Tri Dang’s version).

This F-18 Super Hornet paper Jet was created by paper plane designer and origami enthusiast, Tri Dang of Paper ArtLand and TriKDanG channel. Like Tri, I have also folded hundreds of these jets using his platform, namely his F-35 Lightning 2, F-22 Raptor, X-Wings 2, JAS-37 and 39, the J-20, and other such variants (for the students that I fold them for) at the school I work at, I have devised a ...

very good kepp your skill man
Thank you, I will have more coming in due time.
seen you in alot of paper airplane videos so i guess i will subscribe since i have also been folding paper airplanes for a long time (especially watching trikdang and foldable flight etc)
I am only an enthusiast who teaches elementary students the basics. I hardly consider myself anywhere near TriKDanG’s masterfully creative caliber but I do incredibly appreciate your encouraging support. I shall post more videos of my own creations in the future.
@@markmasaki1480 if trikdang is creative and master, then what is Jayson Merrill
@@ic2Yee Jayson Merrill is another master origamist that caters to the elite level origami enthusiasts. The upper crust, if you will. A smaller crowd of skilled folders can keep up with his amazing abilities. As a purist (no scissors/ no glue/ no tape, etc.) he values form over function. Tri caters to the lesser-skilled origami entry- level crowd and has done much to help build the paper plane folding hobby on RUclips. Both Tri and Jayson are among the best in their own domain, but both are important the hobby, and both are terrific to me.
@@markmasaki1480 true dude, i dont usually put tridang as a "master" since well, his planes are pretty boring now, always has fins, and stuff
@@ic2Yee perhaps, but I give credit where it is due. All founding fathers of any innovation will eventually become obsolete, but we must still respect and give reverence to what helped launch the movement in the first place. This is how I tip my hat to Tri’s contribution. My Kindergarteners enjoy this particular model that he designed very much. Some of their parents pilot real ones, and they wont criticize me for folding little paper jets. I won’t dog on Jayson Merrill for not designing actual real life vehicles like Michael LaFosse and Richard Alexander do. I won’t dog on him for not holding any World Records like John Collins and Takuo Toda either. It’s all superficial silliness to me. We should all just enjoy any progress and products of innovation and keep on improving on it together. I truly respect everyone’s contribution.
good work 👏
Wow nice video 👍️ keep it up
