- Raijin (pronounced Rye-gin) is named after the Japanese god of thunder. I originally developed this paper airplane for preschoolers to be able to hold onto and throw better, but later found my older students playing with it and asking me to make them one. Raijin’s iconic central fin (shared with it’s brethren glider model, Fujin) has multiple uses in this design: a body lock that holds the fuselage together, a launching handle, a rudder, and a plane stand. Another key feature is Raijin’s large triangular stabilizers, which happens to be the secret to Raijin’s shocking flight ability.
I love paper airplanes. I hate my classmates. Why? My classmates always goes through the path of my plane
