- Originally created nearly 17 years ago from the date of this tutorial, in 2007. I was an after school care provider at a preschool and wanted to create a paper plane with a handle for my preschoolers. Two such models came to my mind, resulting in the glider Fujin, named after the Japanese god of the wind, and likewise the dart/stunt plane Raijin, aka the god of Thunder [and also Grand Prize winner of Foldable Flight’s 2023 Designer’s Contest].
Fujin was an already good glider that evolved into something that worked okay but perhaps was a bit too complicated for what I originally wanted: Something easy to fold and fun to fly! What did not change was the aforementioned “handle” part, which is Fujin’s crowning feature that acts as a multi-purpose tool: a fin/rudder, a handle, a stand, and a wing/body-locking mechanism. Like other gliders, it prefers gentle (but still firm) tosses, but if you hold it from the fuselage, it should even go quite a good distance with harder tosses.
It kinda good because it can stay itself
Wow i tried it and love it
Actually it is way more stable and easier to adjust
I have never folded Raijin or Fujin Glider, but folded this one,and and it flied soooo well, amazing, just a great work here
Enjoy it early, as it may eventually be featured on Foldable Flight’s channel.
ooh i like it! very simple and very clean!
Thank you! It’s nowhere near the caliber of your Jets, but I am a simple man trying to cater to the hobby’s entry level people. It is my hope that they will become addicted and will undoubtedly get to making yours. Building this hobby is a group effort!

This is the Protogenius stand. SquareForce upgraded it and made it look like this.
