Absolutely Nauticat and/or Fisher. Also Hunter, as they were the closest competitor to IP. Personally I'd prefer a same size Nauticat from the 80s or 90s that's been repowered, refurbished etc and sells for $60K to $80K before a slightly newer Island Packet at $200K. But hey that's just me. This one's asking price is extremely optimistic in today's used boat market, especially in Florida with all that's been happening in that business there recently.
@@brianchristie1204 I have delivered IP's. They do not sail well enough to be safe. Going to windward us marginal at best Going to windward in light air is dreadful. They depend on the engine. They are not good sailing boats, simply. They are decent apartments.
She's a big pretty girl ! ! I'm not sure if I heard what size the tanks are or how many hours are on the engine ? I know she's a IP but still seems a bit "spendy" . Thanks for the Great walk-thru video 👍😎
Not really designed for propane though canisters fit there well. It is a perfect fit for a 2 1/2 gallon gasoline tank for your dingy. It has an overboard vent for spilled fuel. So, it’s a great multipurpose hatch. A cooler for drinks, a place to put your fuel tank, or a location to store propane canisters. I store my boat soap and brushes and cleaning materials there.
Hey guys let me know what you think about this boat and IP's in general. Is there a boat in this class you'd prefer over an Island Packet?
Hello sir. Just out of curiosity, are you a licensed captain yourself?
@@theabsolutetruth2024 I had a liscense but never used it.

👍
She's a stunner ❤❤
This a real boat for ocean sailing ❤❤🎉😊
Thats a beauty of a boat, i dred to think what the value is 👊🏻👏🏻
Love to such a well thought out boat
Well built for sure and seems maintained. My only complaint is access on an off boat both at dock or on the water.
NICE N EXPENSIVE
Gorgeous boat, only 2 drawbacks. They are slow and very expensive, but quality always is.
Quality is always slow?
Wind 20 kn. Boat speed 8,2 kn. ( Irish sea in 04/2024)
Owned a 380, cruised it from SoCal to Mexico. The next owner sailed it to Australia. It’s a great cruising boat and not as slow as you might think.

That fire extinguisher sign at the engine room is a port the spray the fire extinguisher in if there is a fire in the engine room.
Veramente, Noah arch. 😀❤️
I need one soon

Thanks for commenting
@@HarborYachtTours instead of thanks how about the tank sizes
I could live on that
Nice carpentry on this boat
Great 👍
Dang great deal!!
Nice boat, too small for me to live on but still a beautiful
That type of keel appears more sturdy but possibly not as fast.
The boat i prefer at this range would be a Shannon.
Thanks I’ll have to so if there’s any in my area to tour.
DREAM, DREAM, DREAM, DREEEEEAM, DREAM, DREAM, DREAM, DREEEADREAM.
That area in the cockpit in not a "cooler". Its another propane locker.

It doesnt have the 4:1 ration (beam to length) i read about a lot that ensure greater speed- storm sturdy but slow
Aw man, if I only had the dough.
no battery details??
I think this one takes Double A
IP are true full keel yachts and the aft facing nav station with no back is not a good idea.
Goddamn that’s nice
I built that boat. Check the chain plates.
I thought that was only a problem on their 1998 and earlier models. Since this is a 2001, shouldn’t they be fine?
Didn’t hav any problems with the chainplates on our 1999 IP 380
Great condition boat. Worth saving and paying once instead of spending a year and endless $$$ fixing one.
Right. No such thing as a cheap boat
no offence but for 700k I buy a catamaran
Very well built boats. Quality finish.
Not pretty, and not good sailers!
Seems to me that the first job of a sailing boat is to sail well. So no fat heavy IP for me with it's 19th century hydrodynamics.
