Each one of these cars was taken to their limits. They each had a personality and their drivers most probably loved them. I cant imagine the amount of heartbreaks this place has seen when the owners say their final goodbye.
One thing I always wanted to do is walk through a car junkyard in Japan. I don’t care if I even buy anything, just being able to see that stuff in person would fill my heart with so much inspiration.
I'm genuinely heartbroken seeing all these rare cars being destroyed

@Dude In quarantine No, they're more expensive even if they were never on the car, in fact if they were new old stock in a box the would be worth even more than they are now. Those are Volk JGTC racing wheels with a forged magnesium center, they were never available to the public, probably less than 100 sets left in existence. Thats easily a 20k set of wheels on their own.

Yeah. The 2JZ was too heavy up front so a lot of the Supras were converted to 4 cylinder.

Circuit guys aim for around 600. You can't use much more than that.
600 is good Power for most stuff and for my daily 600 is great on the highway

@@azi9_ity there's probably a reason for them to leave those Supras and Civics at a place like that ( for example being flood damaged) but even then they won't give those away for free to enthusiasts like us, it's the sad reality, but I assume they may just sell those for dirt cheap prices as most of the cars are probably heavily rust damaged by now.

It’s sad but the great part is that if you have these cars, you can get parts from this place and build your car up into something YOU can love, cherish, and keep your car racing.

that gold car shell on the garage at the start was a 70"s lotus europa special. i counted four 2002 ti bmw's and 1 912 . but you never commented on them. but you did see the silver europa but completely missed the 1984 Lotus Excel in silver @19:53..( he did notice it) i counted like 7 mid 70"s bmw bavaria's. but the have alot of 1980's bmw 635 csi . and the lone sl450. the black car with the gold trim i don't know what it was

Rui Kazane It’s more expensive to register 15+ yr. older cars in Japan. So anyone who’ll want to take on a project. Wouldn’t be able to afford to run it legally on public roads. There are no tax breaks for classic cars in Japan. The older the car the more it is taxed vs. newer cars who are taxed less. That’s why you’ll often see 15+ yr. old Japanese cars are being exported overseas as surplus. In America when car hits the 20yr old mark, they are now classified as a classic car, thus exempted from EPA emission laws.

2:22 the yellow shell looks like its a 1970s Lotus Europa, very rare car these days. It was one of the first mid-engined sports cars in Europe after WWII. Since the chassis is made from glass fibre reinforced composite material, it should still be in fairly good condition. If its not cracked or has some other damage from an accident, this could still be werth 5k, without engine, chassis and interior. (should have watched to the end first: 22:42, more Lotus Europa shells.)

The Mercedes at 3:54 is a 190E. They were used a lot for DTM racing back in the 80s-90s. Car is a beautiful piece of artwork

The maintenenace cost would simply be to expensive to maintain every car in those lots. If i had to guess id say every car parked there would probably all cost would be at least 5 million usd. And even then you have to consider how rare each car was.
