I wasn’t the type to decant items in pantry…. Until one of “Mickey’s little friends” paid me a visit four years ago. 🥴 Got rid of that little guy as soon as he appeared and now dry goods go into sealed containers that hubby bought for us. He knew it was a needed purchase and soothed my nerves. So yes, I guard our dry goods by putting them in sealed airtight containers. 💜

@@angelarothbauer8096 That’s EXACTLY why I loath little twitchy things. I lived on a farm for 5 years as a teenager. Barn mice gave me nightmares. Our farmhand was “armed” and carried a baseball bat as well. Both were used on the mice/rats. Our cats even said nope, not today Satan! 🤪

Partial decanter - I do for pasta noodles, sticky rice, basmati rice, black tea, white sugar, brown sugar, rice flour, baking soda, and bulk spices. I don't for snack items.
I have chronic pain, it’s hard for me to get motivated. You motivated me to move even though it hurts and your music is great! Thanks for sharing (I also subscribed).
I used to be a non-decanter but changed when a friend (the cleanest person I know) got an insect infestation and had to get rid of anything not sealed in glass or plastic. Anything in paper - flour, sugar - or thin wrappings - cookies, cereals - are put in sturdy containers so I don't panic.

Isnt it funny how we are all different . My daughter loves to decant anything she can . I am of your tribe , cant be bothered with decanting , yet we are both very organized. Very inspiring watching you do what you had time for , i am trying to learn i dont have to push thru everything.

Hiya! I watched Jodi yesterday and was going to post a note today that she gave you a shout out yesterday! Cool! Have you watched Shannon over on Leaf Like On A Tree channel? She just posted one this morning (Wed). She’s really funny and I love her faith. /I do decant items in pantry - mostly flours, sugars. And anything that is individually wrapped but in another box like granola, cat food pouches, snack crackers. Also I put my penne pasta in containers as well to keep them fresher. Get some rest! I listen to worship music too! 🎉 I really prefer no music on videos I watch though. Some channels I don’t watch because of the music. We all like different things but I’m at the stage of life where I like peaceful music or quiet. 😎 Fresh cut grass scent?! 😃 Wow! That must smell like spring! 🌸 Manageable goals, you say? 😂 I’ve been decluttering closets and drawers and I am tired! The good news is I’m almost finished!! 🎉

Oh, I do some decanting, but it’s easier to just keep things in original packaging.
Karen, great job cleaning the tub and both bathrooms. I think the hair culprit definitely needs to clean up after themselves, as it shouldn’t be your job to pick up after them.
I love the way you labelled your pantry baskets and organised your cleaning products. Keeping a full basket of overflow takes up room, but living further out of town like you do, must make keeping extras essential.
I think it’s nice that you have a pantry, they aren’t as common in the UK, so most of us are having to bend down to reach into the back of deep kitchen cabinets, which is always such a pain. Regards decanting, I prefer to decant items in my kitchen cabinets, mainly because I don’t like to see lots of packaging. That’s due to finding it visually over stimulating. Also, I think decanting allows me to keep a better check on inventory and the containers stop dust or the possibility of any tiny insects getting in and spoiling food. The good thing is that I have changed my routine again recently, so I only keep a very tiny amount of dry goods over flow food wise and I don’t buy many canned goods. Plus, my fridge freezer only has three small drawers to keep frozen food. The supermarket is only a 20 minute walk away from my house so Roger does a weekly shop at the start of the week and I can always nip out again mid-week if I forgot to buy something. That way we buy only what we use in a week and rarely have any food left over, but this is easy for Roger and I because there’s only the two of us.

I really once again like the song you’re using. I like the line that says, “I left my heart open so You’ll hear my prayer.” Yes, even though the Lord can hear and see everything in our hearts whether we leave it open or not, I think it is good to invite the Lord to come in and see it all, to tell Him we WANT Him to see and hear it all-to deliberately leave it open for Him to come in and do and hear and see everything.
Those bathrooms look great! So much work, but you did it, Karen.
I hate cleaning the tub and shower too. We have an older plastic tub and everything sticks to it. I think the landlord wanted to be fancy and put in the plastic surround with fake tile. It’s awful to clean. I clean while I’m in the shower, just seems easier for me. 😂
I only decanter my flours and white sugar. I keep a lot of flour on hand because I make my own bread. I keep extra bags of flour and sugar in five gallon food grade pails with lids.

You have said the girls use to do the dishes at night, do the all work now at night? I’m a partial decanter, I put things that spill easily like, beans, popcorn ,I also decant normal things like sugar etc. lastly, I put my grandkids treats, that way they can get them easily
I decant everything . I can’t do visual clutter I just find it to stressful . My sister thinks I am nuts and never decants anything 😂

Decanter everything takes way less space out of boxes
I also am not a decanter. I know it looks great, but I don’t want to be bothered with taping on a lot of expiration dates
I use glass canisters and different sizes of canning jars. I keep vacuumed sealed flour in freezer. I do not have snacks, bars, or cereals to store, since no children now. ,Just have oatmeal, sugars, in glass canisters.I decant my skim milk into a quart canning jar.

Karen, I LOVE it that your hair is not brushed and you have on the sweatshirt you slept in. And I love it that you don’t feel the need to put makeup on. It shows a confidence and a frankness that we need to see and that some of us can do better to emulate, to really let the ego and pride go. To film when you are not all put together is wonderful. This is real. This is how so many of us are. I’m thankful that you do this.

I got it from TEMU. You can buy similar on Amazon. It's a good little vacuum but now that I've had it a bit it's not holding its charge well!

The trim at the bottom of the wall. 😃 Maybe that is a "Mainer" term for protecting the wall from where the mop hits!💗

Sometimes they do. Ivon has done it on camera a few times but they don't often clean on camera. Once in awhile, though, Mama needs to get in there and clean! Also, work and school schedules and teen life sometimes keep them out of the house alot. Everyone is growing up!! 😃

Hey Karen, I agree the mrs myers are way more pleasing. Also, Girl!! that Method Antibac is NO joke. It's so strong. It makes me cough and that scent lingers. But I do feel like everything is SO clean when I use it. I will likely not be restocking it once it's done but girl!!1 SO strong.
Wow, you got a lot done! I have most things decanted. I had moths in my food twice and after that I got me some containers. (I have them for many many years. It works great.) Murdered a poodle.
