    I just watched his memorial service today. His daughter spoke at it and one of the things she says was that her dad hit the drums like they owed him money. I’d say she was right on on that one! What a beast of a drummer. And an incredible human being taken way too early.

    Somewhere around 2003 club in Columbia South Carolina quiet riot I believe. I was front row standing slightly stage left and being a drummer Frankie was 80% what I watched. Before oncore Frankie got up from the drum kit and walked front stage and handed me a pair of drumsticks! Although we really didn’t make eye contact during the show he could just tail and feel that I was a fellow drummer. I’ll never forget that sweet generous gesture as well as talking to him after the show. A real class act and solid Brother. My heart aches but I know you’re in a better place now. Be Free my friend.🙏

    Frankie was one of the 1st Drummers I saw that was endorsed by Sabian Cymbals back in 1983 or 1984, they may have been around years prior but he was the 1st player that I recall used Sabian, also saw Frankie in 1984 in Quiet Riot at the Oakland Coliseum Arena, with Whitesnake and Kick Axe as openers, and I was very impressed with Frankie's playing, he definitely had that heavy Bonham groove, incredible Laser show QR had on their Condition Critical tour. RIP Frankie !!!

    Frankie is damned good player. His groove is pretty good here. He's playing more like Bonzo's liver version. None of the drums themselves sound very good at this gig. Something didn't transfer very well to recording or at the sound booth.

      Kris Mcfrory I see your commented got deleted very quickly, I could only read the beginning of it with your incredibly immature and childish. Frankly just idiotic and tasteless jokes. But we can move on. I think based on this comment section and any other videos of Frankie you can see a lot of support from the comment section and a lot of drummers know him and respect him. I’m younger and I know who he is and respect him. Your lack of respect and jealousy shows in strides

  • @HadEnough745
    @HadEnough745 6 лет назад +2

    Lot of bass drum missing..especially building up to the guitar solo. There should be three bass drum hits for each snare hit. This is a very simplified version. Bonham didn't bash the kit either. He played with control. He didn't hit as hard as he could..

  • @JW-zs1pz

    Too bad Quiet Riot did not let this wonderful drummer loose when they had him. Had to see Frankie do a rendition of Zep to see him pound the drum like that!! Wonderful!!!
