Several things: 1. Now I want brownies!! 2. Never heard of clear vanilla! 3. The cat plates are the cutest things ever. 4. Parchment idea is great; sometimes my brownies will take on a metallic taste from the pan and I believe the parchment would fix that. Yummm!! Thanks Patty!😄
HA HA!!! I highly recommend these. I bought another box, because they are so good. And yeah, parchment is everything. So sticking and I did not have any adverser flavors. Clear vanilla is completely artificial, so fancy cooking shows would not appreciate using that. But I have come to really like it, and it's available and it's a lot less expensive. I have decided that baking should be fun and getting worked up over butter fat and vanilla quality is insane these days. Though, I will fight ya over the caster sugar. I LOVE it and have switched from granulated sugar to use it in baking. And I swear by measuring everything out in grams.
We know if you're using the cute kitty face bowls that something good is going to happen. We love how you elevated this box mix with espresso and vanilla. The brownies look gorgeous and now we have a craving that might require baking in the very near future. We hope all is well at you house. Love this episode!
Thank you fellas!! It's honestly the best mix! That little bit of espresso powder is just enough. And of course I always add extra chips. Thank you stopping by!!
Yes! the semi-sweet with the dark chocolate is heaven! I was not aware there is a clear vanilla! These brownies look yum yum yummy...the kitty bowls are so cute
SO GOOD!!!!! I learned about clear vanilla when I started reading Milkbar recipes. Christina Tosi uses it in everything. Foodies despise it because it's "artificial" but I love the flavoring it provides. Also, if you want white frosting, or white cakes, it helps because a traditional vanilla can slightly discolor the white. I do have links for it on my website, but I should add them to the videos.
Coffee in place of water sounds amazing, but I would never think to add milk! And yes I LOVE espresso powder and vanilla in chocolate recipes, too! Thanks for sharing your version!!
Patty! We have to go to Frisco to the Ghirardelli store....i'ts sooo goood! I got my coffee now all I need is a slice of that chocolate cake girl! LOL!
I reloaded the site and then I could see my comment! Brownies NOT cake! LOL! I got sooo excited over the Ghirardelli chocolate part I didn't hear/see anything past the word chocolate! LOL!
Because we are in food shortages and product is hard to get. Some areas have it and others don't so the areas that do have it, people go and buy it out and then resell it online for a huge markup. Which makes the shortage even worse because they buy it all up where it is actually available. If you do find some in your store, buy a few boxes for yourself and put them away.
@@PattymacMakes Yeah, that's what I thought. There is none in the stores in my area so we bought it on Amazon for $27 for the usual $12 box. Thanks for the reply!
There is no milk in the brownies. It's water and oil. You definitely need vegetable oil. I guess you could sub melted butter, but I haven't tried that with this mix, so I don't know how it would come out. I would not put milk in brownies. But subbing in milk in cake mixes works well. I hope that helps.
I made this recipe and I once used parchment paper so The brownie doesn’t stick on the pan but it did stick on the paper 😭 what did I do wrong? I have tried so many things but I never get to take them out in perfect shape
I don't know Martha. I've never had anything stick to parchment paper. Are you sure you're using the right thing? I remade these brownies this weekend with cream cheese and they came right off the paper.
They retain their shape. Chocolate chips are treated to hold their shape in baking. If you want something that melts, you would want to use baking chocolate. I love baking chocolate, but most people have chips. You could easily sub in baking chocolate! I hope that helps.
First of all, I don't appreciate the foul language on my channel. But also, vanilla NEVER messes up any sweet baked good. You're entitled to make items how you like but you're short changing your brownies without vanilla, a$$hole.
Who else loves brownies? 💛🍫

I could go for one of these brownies with my cold glass of whipped coffee 🥰🥰🥰 Hugs, Dolores
Dolores! HA HA!! If you have all that chocolate with that coffee you might not sleep for a week. But what a way to go! 💛
Yum!!!! I love the expresso addition!
Suzanne, to be honest, they are CRAZY good!
Thanks Pattymac !! Chocolate is a staple as much as flour and sugar!!
Yes they are! I could not agree more!! This mix is fantastic if you haven't tried it yet.
Thank you, your brownie was amazing❤️
Great hack!!
I'm so happy you tried it out!! Just simple tweaks really do add so much to a mix!

@@PattymacMakes i also use two egg yolks haha! It gives brownies more skin! I didn’t know how but the skin looks so good as I eat it
Making this today ….. without the vanilla but still hoping they are just as yummy 😋
They are delicious not matter what!! But the vanilla is always a good kick in any sort of baking.
Thanks my kids love it
This mix is unreal! It's very good.
They look so good. 💕💕
They are Sandy!!! I have another box out there and I'm so tempted to make them again!

It's a date!! When the pandemic is over, after we meet up at the RUclipsr convention, we will take a trip north to SF.

BRAVA from Acapulco!
Rock on!
Why is this sold out everywhere and being scalped at 3 times the price???

You have to grease the paper too
When I make these brownies I use a glass container and a little bit of baking spray and they come right out perfect!
@@itzelmartinez1894 how much time do you bake them and at which temperature? 😅 I just baked some today and they didn’t turned out that well
Did the chocolate chips melt??

wt can be d egg replacement..???
I can't advise on that because I use the eggs. I'm sure you can search for it. Good luck!
You know karen knows how to cook
I'm not familiar with her. I will check out the channel. Thanks for the tip.
✋😭🤣
Boyer Mews
Add some nuts its even better!
That's a GREAT tip!!
