No employer should ever let a female employee work alone, especially in a situation like this where nobody would have felt suspicious of someone stopping their car and going up to the kiosk. I saw this guy with the most vivid blue eyes and a hoodie sort of easing up on me. I thought surely he is going into the store. He passed me, I spoke to him and when I turned my back, he had hit me over the head and grabbed my purse. That man wanted her alive so he could torture her first. Also, there were lots of cars driving by and people that were walking by around that time and so chances are if she try to escape while at the coffee shop she would have had a much better chance of survival, or at the very least would have died more peacefully. Israel keyes tried to abduct me from essex junction, VT while here.. I believe he attempted to abduct me after the curriers.. I worked about 1/2 mile from their home and was chased home (I worked evening shift..) I was doing 85 in a 35 mph zone and the car stayed on my heals.. it was the car bill and Lorraine drove that he kidnapped them with..
I was too afraid to pull in my driveway about 8-10 miles from my work because of this car.. I didn’t have a cell phone at the time and couldn’t call for help.. I drove in circles basically and eventually lost the car.. and went home..
I then alerted my boyfriend at the time. We had two big pit bulls.. but lived in a one story house with an attached garage.. we did have our dogs freak out later that night for some unknown reason and to this day my ex and I still believe he tried to abduct me.. I’m so thankful God must have been with me that day. God bless the victims.. it turns my stomach.

So back in 2007 I was 18 and working 3rd shift as a front desk hotel clerk in Milan/Avery Ohio. About 10 mins from Sandusky.
It was my second job I’ve ever had and my first night alone working after being trained for just 2 days.
Around 3 AM this guy wearing dirty white shoes, blue jeans, a light jacket with hood and ski mask over entire face (all I could see was his eyes)…. He had what looked like a crowbar and a gun and demanded cash… then I was so stupid I started reading bible verses from this book that was in the lost and found and crying and talking about my baby at home… I kept going on about my child….he called me sweet baby and told me “oh baby I don’t want to have to hurt you”. My sweet baby. He started getting tears in his eyes and started to get mean and snappy, voice change to a deeper tone.
I gave him the cash box (400$) and he left in a white minivan, he walked kind of funny. Not limping just very like awkward lanky fast steps.
I don’t know for sure but looking at Israel Keyes eyes and listening to his voice… I think it was him… I’ll never forget those eyes…
It’s never been solved- conveniently on my first night alone the cameras weren’t working. I didn’t even know how to call out on the phone so once I finally did it was 30 mins later… they actually made me take a lie detector test and computerized test to make sure I wasn’t lying… and here I was absolutely traumatized. My boss yelled at me for giving him the money… cops told me I did the right thing.
I’m confident it was Israel keyes
I have ptsd and I haven’t been able to work at a front desk, as a cashier.. in fear it’ll happen again.

This guy lived close to me, we lived in the same county in upstate NY. He robbed the bank in my hometown of Tupper Lake. I was walking my dogs in the woods behind the bank and there were helicopters flying over the top of me looking for him. At the time nobody knew who robbed the bank, we found out later it was him. I live in the Adirondack mountains and on trails often with my dog. The authorities said they believe there are dead bodies buried close by that he disposed of. I’m in the woods all the time and you never know who is passing by you. In hindsight it’s a scary thought this freak of nature was always close by. There were other banks robbed in the area also, probably was him.

He had killed her, and only quite some time later did he decide that he wanted to try and get some money from the situation. So he put makeup on her and staged the lighting, etc. to take a photo that could somewhat plausibly make it seem like she was still alive... 🤢He was one of the most meticulous and coldhearted serial killers ever, I really don't know why he's not just as famous as killers like Ted Bundy and Jeffrey Dahmer.

I thought they were going to do a way bigger deep dive into this case. They actually left out a lot. I don’t understand how they had 7 months and 13 interviews and they never got more information out of him. Do you ever want to jump into the screen and tell that person to stop or save them? Never go with someone who is trying to abduct you. Fight like hell! Do everything possible to draw attention. It’s better to be shot on scene than in a shed. So sad for the victims. Definitely one of my biggest fears is disappearing. Never being found. You’re already alone when you die but that is the ultimate alone.

And how and why did he have a disposable razor. Shouldn’t they get one and then have it taken away. And personally someone assumed to be a serial killer, shouldn’t they be on suicide watch just as a precaution, especially since he asked for an execution date

Dont know much about Israel Keyes ..But he's apparently one of the smartest & most cunning serial killers of our time. People who's job it is to talk about true crime, say "they hope to never see anyone like him again." He doesn't look very scary or intimidating. But I guess when you're preying on the weak and vulnerable, all that changes.

It's not intimidation factor, it's because he was nearly impossible to predict or profile. He was so random and playing the long game, that the FBI was useless. If he hadn't gotten greedy and sloppy, he'd still be doing his thing, with local, state, and federal authorities none the wiser.

That made it sound (I've only watched the beginning so far) like the boyfriend was meant to pick her up but just didn't show and someone abducted her but the boyfriend did come to pick her up but she'd already been abducted earlier in her shift, he came and she had vanished and all the lights were off.

there's a true crime channel on youtube that has many of the actual police interrogations/interviews with Keyes. Scary dude! Also, the couple in VT, you notice Keyes simply broke out the glass in their garage side door and easily undid the deadbolt by just reaching his hand in. If you have glass in a door like this, either replace it with a solid door, or get some type of security screen over the glass so a freak like this can't break the glass and walk on into your home.
