Next door used to be The Thirsty Whale, a great club that you could see Cheap Trick, Survivor or many other great bands in a forum with 200 other people. Once the music was done, two dogs, mustard and onion, one tamale and an orange soda at Gene & Judes! Loved growing up in the Western Suburbs.

My parents and I have been going here for a long time. If we’re in the area, we stop here and get us some dogs. They are the best. My mom loves the fries. I just love everything about it. If you’re near the River Grove area, stop at Gene and Jude’s, and get yourself a couple of dogs.
The best places are the ones where there is very little on the menu.. served with the freshest ingrediants.. The cooks can perfect the product and the customer will keep coming back cos they know exactly what they are getting. If i was to own a food truck it would only serve fries with any choice of topping or sauce. taco.. garlic mayo and cheese, bacon bits.. salsa. And as fries are cheap you keep the costs down to near nothing.
I once went for an interview for movie theater. Took them a long time to finally tell me the position was for a hotdog costume selling the dogs. Takes a special kind of person. I'm far from special.

I don't know if you missed something. I always boiled hot dogs UNTIL i saw some youtube BBQ video's where they grilled the hot dogs. And i tried it and i will never boil a hot dog anymore. Grilled is soo much better. I'm 51 years old and i ruined 41 years boiling hot dogs. Grilled man Grilled! What a difference in flavour. Its amazing.
