My grandmother never deep fried her meatballs. She'd brown them in a skillet, bake them off, and then throw them in the gravy. Makes sense though, Chicago is the place where they eat upside down pizza.
These meatball sandwiches look OK-but where is the cheese on top of them? A meatball sandwich needs some provolone, mozzarella, or at least some Parmesan to top it all off!
