      Tech does not replicate talent.
It can create something catchy but eventually will be boring if no talent to use the tech.

The Righteous Brothers music was referred to as "blue eyed soul." They chose to be called The Righteous Brothers when they did a gig at El Toro Marine base in Southern California. After they performed, some black Marines yelled out, "That's righteous, brothers!"

Little bit of history. This song was played more than any other song on American radio. To this day no song ever surpassed it. You should listen to Your my soul and my heart Inspiration. Bobby Hatfield was the tenor voice and Bill Melody was the baritone voice they shouldn't have blended together but they did and it was pure magic. They also did solos.

Great reaction! This was the most played song on American radio and television in the 20th century. Please react to Soul and Inspiration next - it was written by the same writers as a follow-up to the success of this song and features the beautiful harmonies of both "brothers" (they weren't actually related). Soul and Inspiration peaked at #1 for three straight weeks in 1966.

“The Righteous Brothers” are considered by most to be the Best Male Vocal Duet Of All Time. I agree. Between Bill Medley’s Lows and Bobby Hatfield’s Highs they can hit every note on an 88 key piano. No other male singers can do that. Legendary.
"Unchained Melody" - Bobby Hatfield Live 1965. Considered by most as The Greatest Live Male Vocal Performance In History... I agree.
In 1983, in Newport Beach O.C. Calif. Bill and Bobby at the Jolly Roger Restaurant . I was 13 feet away for... "Unchained Melody"- "You've Lost That Lovin Feeling" - "Soul And Inspiration".... They were perfect, awesome, amazing, incredible......

They were not brothers, They got the name from playing at a club in S. CALI in front of a mostly blk crowd that was close to an army base, So one night during a song a man stood up and said You are some Righteous Brothers, After the show in their dressing room the talked about what the man said, They liked the name so they stuck with ever since, We thought they were wht at first when they first hit blk radio, Then we found out they were wht, but their soulfull voices resonated with us, There is a thing called Blue Eyed Soul, listen to it,

Stan, I believe I mentioned before in your “Unchained Melody” reaction about my association with Bill and Bobby. Both were incredibly talented and very personable characters who would keep you laughing as they were always cutting up.
I remember the first time meeting and speaking with both of them, Bobby remarked, “Man...Bill rarely has to look up at anyone....but I think he is getting a crook in his neck talking to you!”
I believe Bill is around 6’ 3” or so, I wanna say I say approximately 6’ 8 1/2” back then.....time has taken it’s toll on me over the years....I’m shrinking...lol
I also remember him calling my wife an “Amazon Angel” she is a tad over 6’ 1”...😁
    Great reaction as always brutha!
You should react to Slaughter and their tune “Fly to the angels” I think you would really like it! I don’t think it’s ever been confirmed, but I believe it is about Amelia Earhart.

Checking to see if you've found the other Shindig black & white videos where they really let it rip. They had some great love songs like this but I couldn't wait 'til Wednesday or Thursday night to see them blow the roof off the studio with Shindig's own band, singers and dancers. These men were my crushes in my senior year of high school and then in college and now, with these reactions, I'm realizing just how extraordinary their musical genius was. I'm in love again so thank you for appreciating the legacy they left for all of us.

Tom Cruise did sang this in the movie "Top Gun" (1986)...and believe me...he's not so good at singing...LOL! But that party scene was indeed crazy. Then at the later part of the movie, his love interest Charlie (portrayed by Kelly McGillis) played it again on the jukebox. It was a very touching scene. "Unchained Melody" also was featured in the movie "Ghost" (1990). Righteous Brothers' music climbs back to the top charts several years after their release/publish because of those blockbuster movies.
Thumbs up on your reactions...keep it up.

Just kept waiting for you to say you thought they weren't black but you had already seen "unchained melody". Another hit of theirs I like is "Ebb Tide". You might want to react to that one too. Listen to Bobby do "Summertime Live 1965" or both do "What I Say" live from the Andy Williams Show 1965. You'll see a different side of them - a little more playful and fun loving.
