Hi Hector, I love your videos. You are really good at explaining things to all levels of bookkeepers and accountants. Thank you. I have one question. I have a client for whom I need to start a new QBO file. We are starting a new file for two reasons, one because he has incorporated and needs fresh books and two because the old QBO has unresolvable issues that are too hard to fix. So... I am starting a new file for him, but he's not new to QBO. My main concern is my beginning balances. I was planning to put in a balance sheet and P&L for 2023 by a journal entry. To continue from the message I just posted. I would like to bring in everything from the beginning of my business in march 2023 but just this month I am starting the book keeping. How can I do this to keep my book keeping correctly from the beginning of March?
Hey Hector, you are doing a great job! Before I dive into your videos, etc., I have a quick question: Is the setup for the US and EU the same? I appreciate your answer 🙏
I just purchased QBO for my personal finances. I plan on buying for my corporation as well. First, I want to start with my personal finances to get to know QBO well. I want to do all my finances from 2018 - to now. My Corporation started in 2020 so I need to start in 2020 for that. Anyway, can I start adding in 2024 stuff while I am putting in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023? or should I do all my 2018 1st and then close each year before I move on to another year. How should go about this?
I just watched your full tutorial for beginners. I was a QB Desktop user and am "trying" to learn QB Online, but having great difficulty. I am the treasurer for a NFP Quilt Guild, so we are a small organization of 200, but certainly need to keep track of member payments, as well as payments for workshops etc. I purchased the Essentials version, but canceled it at the end of my enrollment due to frustration. If I keep it cancelled, can I sign up thru you to obtain the one free month as well as the 30% discount for one year. Also, can I keep my records that I have online now?
What do you study in the Training Library for just the simple Quickbooks Online Certificate test? (Not the training Material for the ProAdvisor Certificate) Should I just study everything in "Training Library"---> "Quickbooks Online" And save the other 3 sections to study for the pro advisor test?

But I use QB for a non profit org. I find it a little confusing for what I do- it’s there a quick book service only for nonprofit org.?
Hi Hector. Love your videos. I'm relatively new to quickbooks and pay my employees by direct deposit using quickbooks. Payroll was deducted from the proper bank account, however I didn't notice that the corresponding account was cash. So even though it was paid from the correct account, quickbooks thinks it was cash. Then when the bank transactions are downloaded into quickbooks, it's registered in 2 accounts and all the reports show payroll as double the actual amount. This went on for about 2 months before I figured out the problem. I would like to just delete the transactions from the cash account, but it won't let me. Is there a relatively easy way for me to fix this?
Hi Hector, your videos are great. I work for a construction company that just recently moved from QB desktop enterprise edition to QB online. We are being told that the certified payroll reports that we could run with the QB desktop enterprise version are not available in the online edition. Can you please shed some light on this topic? Much appreciated!
