    Long straps under the trays that are there and let’s you move and lock em in.The prop angle hold the Cats down and the strut upgrade was a must and can’t believe they sent these like that👍❤️Cats don’t need trim tabs!

    This is a awesome informational video. Also you could try using lead weights that they use for airplanes. You can set them in the front part of the boat where the styrofoam is and put yourself a clear piece of Flex tape

    Thanks for all of the tips on the BJ42, brother 🤙🤙.. I Just got mine last week and will be taking it out for the first time at the lake Saturday.. QUESTION @ min #6:30 - so you think if you move up your ESC a bit that the boat will not come up on you as much?

      @@IRONCLADRC - well I took her out yesterday for the Maiden run but only took it out on 6s, since I did not have a recovery boat or a Kayak with me at the lake. All in all in ran very nice on 6s - i did not have any Heat issues or any other issues with the front popping up but then I again I was on 6s.. Today, I will be trying out my new pair of 4s - HRB 6000maH 14.2v 50c lipos and really see what this boat has with everything bone stock. Before I start dialing my boat in and switch over to a new Dasboata Prop.. I have been hearing a lot of people saying that they have having problems w/ the front end popping up when they hit the throttle when running on 8s. Can I simply added an extra pool noodle towards the front of the boat so it a tight fit from side to side and I added some weight and stuffed in my pool noodle in the front?? I will be recording my boat session today so it will be available for your review on my channel. My PB w/ my Sonicwake36 was 65mph and that was when I was running the the Sonice3prop from Dasboata...It's going to be very interesting to see what type of Top End speed I can get with my BJ42 running on 8s with the Supersonic3 prop.. Where can I get that extra weight metal sheets from?

      @@IRONCLADRC Interesting on the Antenna for one of your exit ports for water..Anyhow so all you did was un screw your Firma 160 ESC and just use adhesive tape and mounted in the front of the hull ? As far as my cooling system, my pkg of goodies came in from #OSE yesterday but i haven';t had time to install it..I don't like using a drill for my boats, I will only use a ProTek RC "TruTorque" Lexan Body Reamer that I got from my #LHS that works awesome.... As far as the parts I need for my cooling system was i went with #OES part number tfl-alu-gro which is there 1/4'' silver Aluminum grommets for the back for the water pickup lines coming in from the boat and 2 #OSE PRT# ose-80898 Aluminum BulkHead Fitting that gets installed on the side to the original one on the side of the boat...It's the same set up i have on my #SoNICWAKE36 boat which i believe i have done a video on my channel on it.

    I just purchased a blackjack 42 about a week ago and I have run it 5 times now. I am using two spektrum 4S 5000mAh 100c batteries and so far, one has had an “over temp” fault log 4 times and the other has had it twice. I am not running this boat too hard. I am only going all out maybe 40% of the time I am using it. Do you think it’s possible that the smart chips in the batteries are malfunctioning or are the batteries really overheating from what I would consider moderate use?

Just a couple suggestions. 56mm brushless motor maybe something like a 300a ztw seal esc DO away with motor bed and get a quickchange 56 series motor mount offshore Electrics has pretty much everything you need. Hope this helps alittle bit. Or you can get the electronics that come in the Blackjack 42 it should be enough for that boat. Smart spektrun200a 46mm spektrum brushless motor..

    Looks like the boat companies are more focused on selling boats for folks that are new to boats. These types of drivers dont know or care about things like porpoising or cavitation. So they see the awesome big beautiful blackjack for 599 and buy it, use it a few times and too the shelf forever it goes. This boat could of been really awesome if they would of actually tested the boat before selling the boat. It could of been awesome. Theres no way you can get the porpoising effect eliminated from this hull, maybe if you run 6s instead but then you got a slow boat. Ive bought all the traxxass m41 and tfl hobby junk. Nothing worse than a boat that doesnt respond too tuning. Best boat thats been produced in a long time is the miss geico 36 by faar and none.

    I fail to see how more drag below the water, at the stern would cause the bow to lift. Less drag = greater efficiency. With great efficiency comes great lift.

    • @IRONCLADRC
      @IRONCLADRC  3 года назад +1

      If there is drag in the water it will lift the boat at speed. If one end of the boat lifts up out the water the other end is gonna lift at one point or another.. drag causes lift. Lift will cause the boat to blow over.

    I was ready to buy this boat, but after watching this video, I am not interested. If I have to do all that to keep it from flipping over, it is not worth it. I had a suspicion that it might flip, because watching REAL Catamarans race, they catch air and flip all the time. One question: If you eliminate that top screw, and move the drive and prop down, it seems to me that the new angle would push the front up even more, correct?

    • @IRONCLADRC
      @IRONCLADRC  2 года назад

      Theoretically yes that would pust the bow down by moving the prop angle & Strut down. I've got some trimtabs for the Blackjack 42 I'm about to install they should help with the flips. I run my boats harder that most test there limits so I probably have way more flips than the average boater. I say go for it brother. Get a pair of rc boat bitz trim tabs and your good to go.
