I find it interesting how different people collect differently, I would not want another Anikin as he has been done so many times through the lines, but a new set of Mandos is exciting. I think this is what makes Star Wars collecting so interesting. Something new for almost everyone. Anyway I love your channel and reviews keep up the good work.
Hasbro could release a pack of heads to swap out with figures. It would have to be Hasbro because the paint on the heads are so good now.

I’m excited for all of the reveals for both Retro and TVC. I like that Grievous has four arms with a lightsaber for each. Agree they should have done a full set of 6 for each movie instead.
For TVC, I love Mandos so I’m always happy to have more of them. Just tired of getting Din Djarin re-released, which I’m sure we all are. Happy with the Anakin reveal because like you said they could have done better with the re-release of VC92.
I wish I had kept all of my original Star Wars figures from back in the day but mi mum made me throw them all away.

I'm glad two of the pilots are female because it won't look so odd next to my other pilots, I'm assuming it's the Luke Skywalker body.
The pilot four pack could have been great in getting us additional characters from the movie OT. Would have loved extra rebel decoed helmets from ANH and ESB. However, the set has a lot of potential for customs, especially upgrading some of the previous pilot heads on these new more articulated and accurate pilot bodies. Thanks for the update OOK.
I didn't buy the clone wars Anakin before, but came across his Jedi Starfighter for cheap, so I was literally looking for him 2 nights ago. I'm kinda glad he's coming back around. I won't have to pay $50 for him.

I'm with you on the pilot pack, it was weird to me. I don't care for retro at all, and I'm not excited about more rando mandos. I am excited for the new Anakin, an all new head sculpt and modern hip articulation would do wonders for that figure. So many cool shots from Ahsoka they could use for the card back, too. Cheers
Nice one man... I'm glad you're with me on pilots. Many seen happy but for me, a pilot need to be SOMEONE. Some sort of identity even if a background character or something! It's different for troopers etc.... 👌🏼

Hot take. My deal with 4 pack has always been about army building (that's their purpose as stated by Hasbro). I love what they did with the pilots because there aren't that many rebel pilots to begin with or that have enough fans who know them enough to back their production. Anyone who says otherwise and then complains about ex-character etc. not having a card back sound a bit silly. People seemed to have the opposite opinion on the Tusken raider 4 pack and now they switch it up on the pilots. I will be buying these rebel pilots but also hope this opens the doors to fans who want named pilots.
I've never needed to fill a space on a shelf of mine with a no named pilot. Trooper, Storntrooper etc.... bring em on. But even if they'd based just ONE of these pilots on the likeness of SOMEBODY seen on screen.... well, (as an opener) that would've been a 100% improvement on this reveal.

Thank you thank you. I'm glad it's not just me that thinks the pilot pack is absolute garbage. And yet again more Mando's. But no one is surprised about that. Hasbro is doing a great job of doing themselves out of business. If they continue to release garbage like this that nobody want then it will be the end of Star Wars for them.
I guess it all depends on what people want for their collections. And the good thing is that people don't have to buy everything. You as an individual have the freedom to choose to buy what you want. If you feel you need it then go for it if you don't that's okay. The fact you're excited for the Retro Collection shows your own priorities as a collector which obviously doesn't line up with everyone else and it doesn't have too and honestly you are right that Retro should be used for things old enough to be nostalgic like the films. Everyone is a different person and people want different things.
Some people want to build collections based on the films and some people buy specifically to build out their own fictional space diorama build filled with customs and characters and their own lore that's the joy of collecting is that's what your imagination dictates and why I miss being a part of it so much and hope someday I can go back to it.
So for some people the idea of a pilot pack is welcome because it allows them to customise and swap heads whereas with a named character especially if it's a body or head that you can only use with one character like the Tusken Chieftain or Enoch it's a bit difficult and named characters arguably are worthy of being on cards. People who buy multiples of these don't want a bunch of heads belonging to a specific character they can only use once but there also people who don't army build so it again depends on the kind of collector the individual in question is.
Ironically though they probably could have gotten away with a named character if they used this opportunity to put in either Trapper like you said or Carson although he should be carded because it's much easier to headswap a heavyset pilot body with an alien or other human then someone like Enoch who is different to other Night Troopers. I guess it's all a work in progress there's always something to learn with these things.
I think the alien head choices they used were good though because people who want to customise can use them but also they might lead to proper characters. The Mirialan is different from Barriss or Luminara and feels more like a young Venestra Rowh from the High Republic who will be in the Acolyte but she looks older in that so it won't be entirely the same.
The Duros looks very different from Cad Bane which is good they didn't just reuse him by paving over the scull cap or whatever and he looks more like the two Duros from the Cantina potentially hinting again that it's the Haslab and if it's not well you can make them regardless by using the head. He also could be used for Shriv a character from Battlefront 2 and I think that was a skin for Rebel Pilots in that game anyway so they kind of went with the model of something familiar but not something that can be just one thing.
You're not going to please everyone in the world and no matter what people do sometimes it's never enough. Not everyone loves Retro or Black Series or some don't love TVC but the one thing people love is collecting and the passion they have for it and so long as Hasbro try and respond well to that passion and try to build out collections in a meaningful way then business will continue to be had. If not then I don't know what will happen but they've survived this long so whatever lulls there may be here and there one would hope that goes away down the road and things build in a better way. It'll never be where it was years ago because times have changed. But so long as main characters continue to get released and updates that are needed are given I think that would go a long way.
It's a slow process to catch up and I don't know who's responsible for the slow response is it Hasbro themselves or Lucasfilm but hopefully by the end of this year some very good things people want will finally come. Like anything you take the good and the bad and there were some very good things recently it seems so let's Hasbro strives to lean more towards. We always want more after all.
Anyway I think that's it for now but knowing me I've forgotten some stuff. Looking forward to the next video.

Well that sucked, we waited a month for that? I’m trying to think of a worse livestream, maybe one of those in 2020. TBS dominated, heck even the retro out showed us; getting card backs of padme and jango instead of that deluxe garbage TVC got.
Why were they announcing stuff they didn’t even have finished? This was the livestream to say that a TVC haslab was on the way!

These were literally already designed FOR them and they now jump on board after the really passionate fans created the model (aka did 9o% of the work for hasbro)
