USS South Dakota the Navy's newest submarine

Usually, the crew of a newly commissioned submarine run onto the boat. But frigid temperatures are keeping the crew off the USS South Dakota under a heated tent for Saturday's ceremony.

Dam... play station kids are going to hate the xbox configuration. 🤣😂🤣 Pretty cool that the navy recognized that this controller is familiar to every kid in America and took action to implement it into the design. I'm sure 1 or 2 ol, salty hardcore sailors protested it.

In 2010 i went inside a 1950s russian sub n it looked like it was technology from the1990s thats how far ahead the tech in this things is...

Okay, while I appreciate the cost savings of using an Xbox controller to control the cameras, I don't think taxpayers are going to mind in the Navy splurges on something a bit more custom to control the cameras on one of the most advanced pieces of weaponry in human history.

Pretty sure he was just showing that you CAN use an Xbox controller, not that they usually do. They have purpose made joysticks and trackballs for that function.
