United Kingdom has been summoned to the UN court for violations
against human rights, this is in relation to the department for work and
pensions.
An investigation took place in 2016/2017 regarding either underpayments,
or just in general, the benefit payment system in the UK towards disabled people
or people on Lower incomes.
On 18 March 2024 the UK government will finally face up to the UN, giving evidence on the
violations of disabled people rights, under the UN convention on the rights of person
with disabilities.
The UN investigated that the UK government since 2016 being FOUND GUILTY of
systematic violations in 2017, so it took a year for a fall investigation.
Also found the UK government and the DWP guilty as such as a UN committee
spokesman declared, "That the committee can confirm that some violations were grave
some others were systematic and some were unethical" .

@@pennywise1067 the information about the upcoming UN court is advertised on Disability News Service .co.uk , as for the information regarding 2pm and steamed this was on numerous videos both via tiktok and other social outlets which have unfortunately since been removed without any information as to why, other posters on here stated they found it on Google via searching but as of yet I've had no joy. If I do manage to find it I'd happily share the provided link sourcing this in due time.

My sister had her pip took away she appealed and won within 18 months she died iit took around 12 months to get an hearing , the stress of it helped towards her decline when she died she was less than 6 stone ,nothing is ever said about these crimes by the government or by the media
I am soo sorry that's down right disgusting! And sadly you hearing more and more about people neglected by dwp. Benefits removed from them when obviously needed all so the government can save money. Dwp also responsible for suicides desperate people taking there own lives beggers belief!

My wife was born with spina bifida. In 2018, she was reassessed for her rate of mobility and told that everything was ok and would most likely be going to continue to receive her motability component due to her lifelong spina bifida as its something that will never change and most likely get worse as she age's. Upon receiving the letter that stated that she would no longer receive the motability component, something didn't quite add up........in the letter, it stated the reasoning as 'of sound mind' continuing to state that because she is of sound mind she didnt need any mobility help and therefore revoked her mobility component.
The thing i find strange is the fact that being of sound mind has no effect on being one's mobility . As someone with spina bifida walking is extremely taxing on her spine and joints and barely able to walk around the house. Having the mobility component gave her the freedom to be able to get to the places she normally can't.
Since she lost it, her health has deteriorated her knees can barely work, and her back is always in agony. There is a significant amount of problems that she has health wise that's been the result of her spina bifida that im not going to go into detail with.
I first met my wife nearly 15 years ago and fell madly in love with her despite her disability she didnt let anything keep her down always had a wopping smile and that was one of the thing i loved about her.
In the last few years, she struggles to smile, finding each day a chore, and by the end of the day, she just wants it to be over. Who can blame her? She's had her freedom pulled from Her. I still love her with all my heart.
Did you appeal this could you maybe re apply and have her re assessed again as that is strange I know lots of people that are sane of mind but still can’t walk I would keep fighting this go to citizen advice I just think it’s shocking and I am so sorry this is happening to you and your wife and I really do hope you can resolve this ❤
I had to go with my mum to the dwp in 1992. She had terrible breathing problems. The woman who interviewed her told her she could do a job like hers sitting at a desk. My mum was so upset and 6 months later my mum died of emphysema March 18th 1994.so i will be watching this. My poor mum was only 45 when she died. The dwp are heartless and i will never forget my mum's face when they refused her claim for sickness benefits.
Attetemped suicide 3 times due to sanctions. It's only down to my diligent wife I was found and saved. It is still miserable life on disability. People think we have it easy. With inflation I cannot get the special diet to keep my blood correct.

i used to get middle rate care and the higher rate of mobility allowence until it was changed to pip ,now i get just the standard rate of care and no mobility ,and suffer severe pain and discomfort when i walk any distance or try to live as normal life as possible.

That evil witch Teresa coffey used to ring all DWP managers weekly to make sure they were up to sanction targets . She also sat on a damming report that now some of that evidence was used by the UN to convict the uk tory goverment . They are now before the UN appearing to answer those charges as they sat on and hid all reports and evidence for 3 and a half years. They know exactly what they have done as it was intentional and planned.This tory gov had fraud deficit regarding them it was running at 5 billion, when Boris and this present tory shower got in , it now runs at 21 billion in fraud.. The PPE fraud is one fine example, plus tax fraud, and they have the gaul to go after our pensioners and disabled and sick for fraud. When in reality their fraud is well over 21 billion and rising, the most criminal gov in the uk ever. Plus the crimes against humanity they did during lockdown all whilst our elderly died in care homes.They partied at taxpayers exspence.

Go through it with a fine tooth combe and see why and where they scored you 0 and also request a copy of the assessors report so you can cross reference that against what was said as the majority of them tell lies.
Keep fighting it honest you will get it it just takes a long ass time xx
I was going to say the same as Dynamic Duo. Be prepared for the Mandatory reconsideration to agree to initial result. In the meantime, scrutinise every word, every sentence every paragraph of the assessors report
Re look at the form you completed and cross reference everything.
DWP don't like it particularly if you can present a good case to the tribunal. If the case is good enough before it goes to a physical tribunal the tribunal services will ask DWP to reconsider.
If you are stuck, get help.

@@ElaineSutton-sv5og I've gone through it with a fine tooth comb..I now have a copy of my medical record aswell..although it doesn't have anything recent...just the agoraphobia/anxiety disorders and depression from 2015 still being active....but nonetheless its still shows my diagnosis.
I had the DUP cancel my carers allowance four years ago and never told me why.
I have been shipped from one office to another and each blaming the other, the land of NON-accountability but if I owed them money I would be in court faster than a pisshead out of a job centre.
It's the most stressful experience i have ever been through in my life honestly i had a stroke lost the use of my left side and now have epilepsy and the DWP turned me down one year went through hell and it pushed me to the very edge i hate having post incase its from the DWP i freak out out big time and i was earning over 60 grand and they said i was chasing money claiming but i would rather still be earning money and be well off rather than constantly struggling.
They are truly disgusting as a organisation, the money isn't theres never was it's for people like yourself, they should instead be chasing people who dont pay tax in their billions every year.
I don't even know how they can claim that considering pip isn't enough to live on.

Labour under Gordon Brown scrapped the 10 pence tax rate and doubled it to 20 pence tax rate for the lowest paid in society. Remember that next general election.
On a positive note i had a lovely Judge in Manchester who overturned the DWP'S decision after listening to me and i feel he has saved my life. So there are stll some good people out there. My advice to people is to get qualified medical evidence and don't get a representative because they can mess it up. Explain it as best you can in your words how you experience things. Even if it sounds mad or even bizarre only the person can explain what is going on with their own health. Thats the only way that the truth is told and it comes over as more real to a tribunal.

I lost my job in 2022 I was awarded £500 a month my rent was £400 I lost my house my car and everything I had because I couldn't afford to live now I'm homeless and stuck in a rut I can get out of and can't get a job even though I'm applying for 100s of jobs! This country is falling apart

so sad to hear i will pray for you ,have you tied looking after elderly in their homes my daughters started at the begining of covid easy few hours training ,men do this job too ,but having a car they like ,but some get a motor bike ,my daughter walked for a year to the next village then house to house calls,she did a while with her friend has they have patients that need 2 people .
I live in south Wales I'll be fine I just feel sorry for everyone who is struggling it's 2024 it shouldn't be like this we need an uprising of all people who earn less than £30000 a year to go on strike to cut this bullshit out before it gets worse! We need stricter ruling for crimes! Drop the tax rate to 15%! Stop people buyin mutilpe houses 2 max! Cut interest prices to a max of 25%! schools to be open from working times 7am-5pm! Kids to stay in schools till 18! Cut imagration to workers only! 4 day working weeks! Community service for the unemployed! And bring manufacturing back to the UK! Untill all this happens we are always going to get poor people struggling!

And some of the assessor's for the DWP are not qualified doctors. Your own Doctor/GP should know you better than a total stranger does and yet your GP can be ignored.

@@DynamicDuoUK apparently it wasn't pip assesment it was UC. So I rang pip and they said I'd been refused it back I'm October but I never received a letter and I had a broken hip at the time. Scandalous!

It's shocking that you don't get awarded benefits if you fail to use of set keywords. People with mental health problems and no support, are in no position to write accurate essays. Then months later they're pretty much interrogated by phone. At my appeal they said "answer as you were when you filled in the form." (18 months earlier). Then they kept asking about what I did last week, regarding back pain. When they asked about my ADHD, I said I'm waiting an assessment... they audibly huffed and said "Moving on..." I was so disgusted!
The government will ignore them as usual and keep on going they should be held accountable for every life taken through thier racism and anglophobic attitude

This is crazy. I have bi polar & COPD and I was ill & had to be put in an induced coma until I could breathe on my own. I flattened twice and within 2 weeks of getting home I tried to get pip. But was told I had to go to do some courses for returning to work. I had to be pushed in a wheelchair and I was suffering crippling panic attacks because I was terrified I would become so ill again. They replied that well you can get around in a wheelchair so you could apply for certain jobs. I just felt so deflated. So not only was I terrified of getting ill now I had to worry about money for bills etc. The specialist at the hospital gave me 3 to 5 years to live with my lung0s being really bad and I'm in my 7th year now yayyy. But the benefits agency didn't want to know. I'm still struggling with my breathing and had to move in with my mum. I'm 55years old and it's not ideal but I had no other choice. I'm on sick EASA. I still haven't got PIP. I worked from the age of 12 upto getting ill. So that's how you get treated . I forgot my mum is 76 and she's got terrible arthritis. How can they ever say sorry buy you don't qualify. I have a key worker that helps and she's tried for Me. Then there's a 19 year old kid who smokes dope all day, runs about like a lout and there's nothing wrong with him. He brags about getting pip and a carers allowance. How does that work?? He's never worked a day in his life. Sorry for the rant and it being a long post but this really pisses Mr off. Thank you for this post it's strange why they deleted things. We'll never get the truth out of our government x
The DWP (PIP) slashed my severe DLA in half five months ago and denied me the (first tier tribunal awarded higher rate DLA & Mobility components) eleven months before the tribunal decision entitlement was due to expire in October of this year. I've been waiting patiently (agonisingly) for them to schedule a date to attend my fourth DWP tribunal, in as many years. It's no measure of ones health being well-adjusted to a Tory raped and pillaged society. 😡

To be clear this is NOT a COURT. The UN doesn't have any legal power it can only criticise. It is a UN hearing of facts found during investigation, and the UK has previously failed to cooperate. A consensus on the failure to uphold disability rights (as an example) would have to be found, then referred to the International Court of Justice before the issue can be said to be before a "court".

I worked 2 jobs to enable myself to pay for a trip of a lifetime. My main job was for the local government, social services, taking referrals for vulnerable children and adults then with the Highways department. My 2nd part time job i rushed to after i finished my day hours, working for the NHS in several various OOH emergency GP servies. When i returned after my trip away if approx 4mths, i recd a letter to say on PAYE (Working for the government) i owed them £1000 due to earning too much and not paying enough tax. Me thinks someone in the DWP hasnt been trained on a calculator or a simple excel ss with formulas. OR CORRUPTION IS NOW LEGAL IN THE BRITISH GOVERNMENT.
I know someone who received £5 in December, nothing for January or February, then £114 for March. That's the DWP deliberately starving people.

It would be interesting for disabled civil servants to address this issue as well. I saw a lot of disabled workers dismissed because of their disability, I had a meeting with a high up manager who advised me that they were actively seeking to 'get rid' of disabled workers... this is at a time when the big push to get disabled people into work was going on! Would be very interested indeed!!
The DWP are currently taking council tax directly from benefits and also taking arrears off. In many thousands of cases these arrears go back as far as the 80’s Poll Tax. The DWP cannot say how much is actually owed and when the arrears will be paid off in older cases. If a test case was brought on the legality of paying off arrears when it’s not known how much or when paid off then the claimant would win and there would be in excess of tens of thousands of at least partial refunds to claimants.
In 2016 the last question asked to claimants was: ' " Have you ever considered suicide? If you refuse to answer the question , your claim will not be processed." ' To me as a former ITU nurse, it is more a suggestion that the claimant take this option rather than bother The Department of War on People with their health problems and difficulties.
I used to know someone whose cousin was a dwarf. I was told that people regularly spat on his head and shouted verbal abuse at him just for being short! The poor guy had a full-time job as well.

I had been on pip for a while with a condition that could only get worse with time.My last assessment was by phone.I felt I had words put in my mouth by the operator and some of what I said was disregarded.Of course my pip was then stopped due to " no longer in need ". I was nearing pension age and very confused. We all need to fight for our rights.In hindsight I wish that I had.

I have a lot of health issues, too many to mention on here, I too applied for pip but got nowhere, I ended up taking my pension early and reducing my hours, I'm litterly counting down to retirement now, 24 months to go. I'm tired and worn out and pumping pain killers to push through, but I have carry on or lose my home. I feel your pain hun.
Heard of pensions moved from bungalows because they had two bedrooms and was using one for disability equipment. got moved into 1 bed flats.
I saw a video of the testimony. Nothing was covered about the work capability assessment which seems to be the main source of issues. The DWP mentioned about household assistance fund and that was a about it and how they follow the equality act 2010 to protect disabled people.
They did not address the WCA, and how they are being totally biased and unfair to people.
It was a very unfair and difficult hearing for those disabled people, I can't see anything happening from this now, the UK wormed it's way out again it seems.
I hope the criminal corporation is held accountable! But I wont hold my breath! Thanks for making me aware! X

I spent a whole YEAR (08/2021-09/2022) waiting for news about carers allowance for my Father who's 78 and was waiting on w hip operations.
I was not officially advised the claim was refused, no note on my journal and no letter to tell me this.
I only found out it had been denied verbally in passing via a jobcentre visit where I was being threatened with sanctions despite applying for 10 jobs in 2 weeks!
The advisor took great delight telling me it was refused as my Father "doesn't get qualifying benefits..."
"He gets DLA @ highest rate, industrial injury benefits, both of which are qualifying benefits! Why was I not formally advised of this decision?"
"Your Father stopped getting these qualifying benefits in 2008.."
"RUBBISH!!! I've been shown his recent DLA confirmation benefit letters! I've also been shown his full entitlements due to my application for carers allowance! When was this decision made to deny my application? I've had no letter or even a note on my journal, why not? "
"Your claim was reviewed 10/2021 & refused as your Father's DLA stopped in 2008..."
"WHY wasn't I formally advised of this by letter?"
"Because we don't have to.."
"Right... I'm off to my parents, I'll be back here tomorrow with Proof of my Father's entitlements, When I furnish you with the proof I want a full and complete apology for a YEARS worth of harrasment, threats, demands I work 70 hours a week 35 job hunting and 35 caring just so you can NOT advise me of a decision "because you don't have to"... Showed up with All confirmation letters PLUS the letter advising my Mother her carers allowance was cancelled because a pension increase put her over the income limit...
Was immediately handed over to the manager who was stunned, he took the details into an office and came back to tell me...
"I don't doubt these letters but our computer records show your Fathers DLA ended in 2008, so what I've done was speak to the relevant departments who confirmed these letters are genuine. I don't know WHAT happened to cause the error but we don't have access to all departments records due to data protection laws, we only have a separate system which gets updated by the relevant offices with the most basic details... What we'll need to do is have you reapply with your original claim dates and have the entire situation reviewed in depth.."
"Right so a computer error or data entry error gives your staff the right to harass me, threaten me with sanctions and flat out refuse to even initiate a simple phone call to verify my Father's benefit entitlements? I've had over a YEAR of such threats and NO ONE bothered to advise me formally of a life changing decision because you're not required to advise me in any way shape or form, which would have allowed me to act and provide this PROOF over a year ago, you've also caused my Parents absolute panic thinking they'll be expected to pay back 14YEARS worth of DLA & IIB?"

And they lie about what you say in your assessment. I am going to apply again as I have another thing now which will kill me early and this time I am going to have a support worker witness the phone call. They are so nasty it makes you walk away in despair!
Keep going. They are always trying to stop people getting the benefits they are entitled to. It's very stressful and takes over your life. It doesn't need to be like that, but hopefully this hearing is a step towards sorting out the mess the DWP is. It's outrageous and should be illegal. Good luck.

hahaha Summoned to a UN court. That is about as useful as punching smoke. Your looking at a 3-5yr wait. And then what ? " Nothing " ! The UN have no legal powers to force the UK to do anything. They can give a judgement and guidelines, but if anyone is pinning their hopes on this your going to be sorely disappointed. So far I have been lucky, I get my basic DLA and have not been assessed in nearly 6yrs. I get no extra support and make do with the money I get.

I was left needing the mental health crisis team after a face to face assessment with people that had no medical training whatsoever. I've just done a review form and I'm petrified the same will happen again.

Reading my assessment papers they are not fit for purpose. All spelled wrong can not make out what some of it says & totally wrong information !!! Get your paperwork ALL OF IT PIP & ESA.

I think theres been a few issues with comments, usually i Hold them all for approval and on a mobile device when you click approve it's not been approving them which i found weird, also longer than 200 characters it doesn't like for some reason, but on a pc or mac it's fine. its been so weird. i know we have Bot's and mods who also monitor the channel for negative or racial comments etc and normally they would flag it with me but i've not had any reports about your account so i can only assume youtube's had a moment haha x

Ive jad severe depression for years now, they even offered me intervention re an operation to see if it would help! But ive just upped meds, the last time i went for an assessment, i nearly collapsed with the stress, and said id never go for another, i mean it. As i probably will get some intervention from them, ill be left penniless. 😢 cant see them caring after reading so many disgusting cases on here alone. The whole givernment and its departments are letting the people down, and caring for others that have never made one penny of contribution to this country. Its sickening. 😢
The DWP is still not fit for purpose, in my town the DWP job centre is as much use as a chocolate fire guard, every time I have asked for help they refuse saying things like they have to be impartial or that’s nothing to do with us and on the rare occasion they help they get it wrong

I found it and wow the Tories snd DWP got a good grilling. For those that want to find it i wont link it direct given whats been said. Basically if you look for a website thats named after the bird that was associated with mining, they used to send the said bird down in a cage and if the bird died they would know there was safety issues due to gasses.

DWP said I had been over paid by almost £4000. Funny that because who ever dealt with my case didn’t see I had my child at school living with me. No weekends away and no payments by the father..

As much as I absolutely agree in the UK Government being held to account, unfortunately the UK is a Duelist state which basically means, the UK doesn't recognise UN law.
At best all this would do is bane and shame the UK in failing in its duty in supporting disabled people
I just feel it needs to be pushed and keep on fighting them, i truly hate what they do it's dispecable and the level of trust is dropping between the citizens and the dwp/government as a whole. we just need that push to make people aware. thank you for the comments though i truly appreciate them all.

I suffer from 3 diagnosed mental health conditions including autism and Adhd
I am waiting further diagnoses and I only receive very basic pip for daily living and not for mobility but I had to go for a manual reconsideration with legal people to get it in 2022!
Such a Liar the assessor was .. it was a video call and it cut off so she rang me back and completed the rest of the assessment on the phone and marked it down as a video call and then as usual BULLSHITTED information on her report and rejected me
I was so angry - I am now due for a review as my conditions have worsened and it’s gonna be a battle as this time I will record it
Yes record it definetly ! ensure you tell them in advance and remind the assessor before it beings " you are recording to protect both parties from inacuracy and fraud " they won't like it but it's tough its your right to record. good luck let us know how you get on okay?!

You can also take anyone with you or by your side to represent you if you find speaking a struggle etc and this can be anyone who knows or cares for you and a legal representative who understands the situation and conditions

@@Itzeaglefang so for current reviews of current pip claimants is 48 -52 weeks and you continue to get paid in the meantime untill a decision is made, if it's a new claim it's around 15 weeks I've been told.
UK/DWP have been doing this for years. My partner from years ago was treated appallingly by dwp for 4 years
I've been handing doctors li as for over 10 years with the odd break inbetween because if been to ill to care about getting them at times and when I have been they use this opportunity to sanction me now I've been threatening them with lawyers but they know I don't have the strength right now to follow through with it but this video has just injected me with enough adrenaline to try get there 1st thing Monday morning thanks away to subscribe finding this could be a god send for me

More corruption
There is a degree of fraud that occurs with DLA, my neighbour being one but the vast amount of fraud occurs in the tax avoidance industry. Two wrongs don’t make a right, there are fraudulent DLA claims made and this has to be acknowledged and dealt with accordingly but tax crime is even greater. Lorraine Kelly is a prime example of the avoidance industry, she should be paying tax at the highest rate, yet she pays at the rate of 20% via a company, she is far from alone but possibly the most well known tax avoider.
