Man! Your vision for your property...business plan is spot on. This episode was just amazing! I'm a self proclaimed semi-professional-amateur RUclips watcher, and you seriously need to post more episodes and on a consistent basis. You do such great work!

Jason! Thank you for the love and the semi-professional-amateur feedback! 😄 I’m trying… but there’s also lots of work to be done around here 😉 …more episodes is definitely the number one comment I get from folks, so I suppose that’s a good thing! I’m working on it.

We usually hang our deer in a cool place for 14 days. It gives it a great flavor.

Your feet must taste great! 😉 haha (I’m assuming you meant meat… but yes! We hang ours for at least a week or so. In this video Travis was only here for a few days, so he was only able to hang it for a few days… but it was still amazing 😄)

      That’s awesome! I’m glad you’re enjoying them!
So I’ve read that messing with cutting off the tarsal glad can spread bacteria and scent all over yourself and the meat…and have never had any ‘off’ taste. But I’ll definitely have to look into that more!! Thanks for the tip! 😄

Have harvested a 100 deer, never messed with a gland.
