For your drainage problems rent heavy machinery or hire it to dig the soil so the water drains away from your livestock. Use a French drain. First dig a trench . Then put the French drain pipe in to carry your water away. The French drain pipe has small holes in it and is placed in the ground to drain the water away. Backfill the trench. We used a French drain to protect a leaky basement. It fixed our problem. Watch Homestead Rescue videos with the Ramsey family on ideas on how to deal with your livestock mud issues. They're awesome at fixing livestock mud/drainage problems.

If ur on a well, it's not really a good idea to let the faucets drip . Hard on the well pump .
Insulate/ heat areas with exposed lines, use heat tape if you have too. Make sure your lines are buried deep enough and dont run water lines on exterior walls .
North idaho is a lot different than western Washington in the winter .
