I think the Liszt piano transcriptions of the Beethoven Symphonies as played by Mr. Katsaris are even more inspiring than the original symphonic form.
The lines and ideas are much more clearly delineated.

Cyprian, I first heard a piano version of Symphony 3 about 55 years ago and was fascinated by the setting. Your work brings MUCH joy in listening. Two qualities I particularly enjoy are your flawless playing with such wonderful interpretation, and your bringing out some symphonic lines which are often covered up in an orchestral presentation. Bravo, and thank you. I return often to listen to your recordings. Best regards! Tom in Chattanooga, TN

This is not an easy piece but the real difficulty is in the inner voicing. I own the complete set that CK did for Teldec and it is a revelation. He turned me on to LvB's 8th, a symphony I didn't really think much of until I heard what it was made up of via his recording. He brought out things that many excellent conductors failed to do.
