    A couple of tips for this method.
    1. The ribs around the pump body are at 2 litre intervals, which is just over 2 US Quarts (2.11qt) and
    2. Using a chugging great metal screwdriver to remove the O rings is asking for damage to the seal grooves. Use a wooden lolly (popsicle) stick or a bamboo skewer to lift them out. Great video, and a very nice car!

    This is the way I always do my oil changes. Occasionally I pull the drain plug to check for any metal but I’ve had zero issues. The vacuum actually gets more oil out than removing the drain plug because the dip stick is lower in the pan. It allows you to go all the way to the bottom of the oil pan to evacuate the oil.

    • @TheFlexxGarage
      @TheFlexxGarage  Год назад

    To properly check oil by MB- after you put your oil in showing 1/4 up the stick
    1-Get car up to temp- shut car off
    2- set a 13 min timer- when car is turned off
    3- check dip stick after timer is up
    4- add oil till half way on stick repeat step. (13min cool downs)

    Hello, great video!
    Question: How much oil were you able to extract using this tool? It looks like your extraction took up only half of the 2.3 gallon tank. W204 has about 7 to 8 quart (1.75 to 2 gallon) capacity depending on model.

    • @FlybyJunkie
      @FlybyJunkie 2 года назад

      a w204 c180 uses 5.8 quarts

  • @shawnogall
    @shawnogall 3 года назад

    Some of the newer Mercedes are being made without dipsticks. How do you extract the oil from the top in this case? Can you go through the opening where the oil cap is?

    • @TheFlexxGarage
      @TheFlexxGarage  3 года назад +1

      I didn’t hear about that but I assume it’s the same as my Audi. It doesn’t have a dip stick cause it uses a digital read out but it should still have a hole if you want to buy a dipstick to put in. That’s what I did on my Audi A4. And I can still extract through the hole.
      Through an oil cap is usually not feasible cause it doesn’t go low enough to get out all the old oil. Unless you have a kit that screws onto the oil cap area that sucks the air out and allows for an exchange of fluids.
