dude, that interviewer was just a bit too blunt with his questions, but Scott still managed to keep his cool and ACTUALLY ANSWER THEM, unlike Microsoft peoples

It's so true, and at E3 those ms guys were like shoddy salesmen, while sony guys were like confident and honest businessmen

Although, Sony have bought Gaikai, a company that works with cloud-based technology and starting in 2014 they'll introduce a service that allows you to stream PS3 games.

Not going to lie, I'm a Microsoft fanboy for life, but fuuuuuck, this interview (as stated by mousecrittercake) was so relaxing! Every single one of this guy's points were spot on, made me feel awesome as a consumer (though I'm not buying the PS4). While having just a chill interview in general. Nice interview, awesome guy, awesome console, I simply just prefer the Xbox One. Hate if you want, but both consoles seem awesome to me, and I won't talk trash until I get to play them for myself. :)

Call me crazy, but I really like that PS Plus will be required for online play but not for apps. I'm switching to the PS4 from my 360 so I feel like I'll be getting a much better deal for paying for online.

People from unsupported countries who have the money can just import the PS4. But for the X1 even if you imported it you can't even play games with it if you're not in a supported country.

$50 a year and you get a lot of free games and game discounts, cloud saves, game auto update.
Helps when there's not much to deflect, they can afford to be open they don't don't seem to have much to hide. I feel bad for some of the Microsoft PR guys, what a situation they're in at the moment.
True, but then again, they have nothing to be ashamed of. Major Nelson is pretty good at trying to bring a positive spin to their new policies, but at the end of the day, consumers get royally screwed.

Is it just me or does every Sony guy seem to answer questions genuinely, cuz when i hear MS suits I think i'm hearing a riddle.

PS4 is incompatible with the PS3, they move their entire design over to x86 running on AMD APU, the previous gen PS3 uses a IBM Sparc processor. In order for the PS4 to have backward compatible they would have to embed an emulator on the PS4 and this would increase the price, so in order to keep the price at $399.99 they leave it out, but they got Gaikai to have that backward support. The PS3 physical game disc is completely not compatible with PS4.

MS has some new idea that people don't like but that are not that bad and that there changing. I want both ps4 and xb1 but want i don't know is what makes ps4 different from ps3.... graphics? that's what makes the next gen console? they don't really have futuristic game play

I like Paul, but I felt like he definitely wanted to throw some punches and he did so nervously. But hey, nice balls to even throw those punches! This is what we need this gen. MS has been so unclear and not very upfront with their DRM and online policies (besides the one, practically hidden, page on xbox.com) that asking these questions straight up and with cold, logical tact is the best way to deal with it.
Actually felt like real journalism, something gaming lacks these days.

Sony has made a great gamepc that will be well supported which is great. But please don't pretend like you are bringing something new.
Nope. Destiny and The Division are not multiplayer only you can play them offline on Ps4 as well. There are F2P games like Planetside 2 which are FPS MMO that do not require PS+ sub!!!

When MS people are interviewed, I feel like they are attacking the interviewer and me for wanting to know strait answers. It's like they are saying that anyone who'd be "hung up over DRM" is foolish. Their overall message to me is "get over it and buy my expensive product just cuz!" while changing answers as they go.

The Sony execs just seem like they're gamers themselfs and their policies are ones that a gamer would like.
Microsofts execs seem like they have some strange vision about beeing connected and stuff and they fail to bring it across. Maybe their stuff really is cool, maybe its just crap and bad for the industry. I tend to think its the latter.
