He lectured in my IB Physics class in High School. No one wanted to leave when the period ended. He even got into a diatribe against Dr. Krauss (Physics of Star Trek). He's an awesome lecturer. Glad to see him on here.
What a great joke to start the interview. with "You are a theoretical physicist, a best selling author but you are also a man" That joke has seriously cracked me up!
what people that negate an unified theory point is not that there isn't a unified reality, but that from the limited standpoint where we are, we simply have no way to usefully address them in science. You can reach mathematical unifications, but not in ways that can be tested by science. This has nothing to do with what actually exists, but to which extent we can actually reach the reality. This, again, is the whole Kant vs Wittgenstein debate.
Nice interview. Wish is was series of videos with all kind of theoretical scientist. Suggestion for the title of that series is "BrainFuck on the Verge".
Great interview! I think you should change the topic to something more attractive and inviting for other youtubers who don't recognize the name "Brian Greene"
the interviewer is hilarious. he is acting like he may be on drugs. and he ask advice from Brian if that's the case. asking "i also see time, is the normal? " and then Brian green going along. "time is fine too. your still perfectly healthy." this is very hilarious and funny.
That's where brilliant people like Brian Greene come in to try and figure it out. I certainly don't believe it was any type of god nor do I need to believe it. There's no evidence of a higher power and there never has been.
Well, you know, there have been people smarter than you and i who believed in a superior being like Isaac Newton, Abraham einstein, Galileo Galilei , Nicholas Copernicus and many others from the past and up until today. I believed that people like Brian Greene and many others deny the existence of God just because they want to come up with something ''new'' and ''interesting'' but that it isn't proven, people have got to stop believing in science fiction. Remember, is all about being humble.
Brian Greene the best.
watch 2nd time. last year being the first one. it's still one of the most amazing interview.

That was absolutely fantastic. My god his ending statement.
I like the minimalist lighting, less distracting so you can focus on the ideas. Great video!
Such a great interview from both these guys. I really appreciate this level of science journalism.
Josh, please give your guests the ultimate respect.
Except from the laughs, this is really great!
Great interview this is what the verge should be about.
Brian is a prodigious communicator.
Great feature, great storytelling, and great engagement. Great.
Remember though, It was the combination of science and art that touched the kid's heart...
Need more videos like this.
Loved this guy since 2004, Elegant Universe
My dream is to be a famous physicist one day because of this guy right here
The way Brian talks reminds me a lot of Woz. Both love what they do.
Great interview.
Great interview! But someone tell Joshua to relax a little bit.
What a great joke to start the interview. with "You are a theoretical physicist, a best selling author but you are also a man" That joke has seriously cracked me up!
you should make more videos about science
Josh is awesome!

Bold lighting, great vid.
Why is everyone bagging out J man. Its cause of his personality and humour which makes him awesome.
Awesome lighting effect. It's like they were in a black hole or something.
Brilliant
That Logo of OTV reminds me a Little Bit of Google I/O 2012... But Great Interview!
science is more important than all those cultural shifts that he mentioned ie arts / literature / film / music
Nice interview. Wish is was series of videos with all kind of theoretical scientist. Suggestion for the title of that series is "BrainFuck on the Verge".
i wish the title song was longer
Thought provoking
More interviews like this please! *cough Michio Kaku or Bill Nye cough*
IF only thats how science were taught at schools. Great story
Loved it
Braine green is cooler than degrasse albeit they should be our cultures heros.
Suddenly The Big Bang Theory tv series popped up! LoL
Very nice interview.
I like intelligent people who are able to explain complex things im simple words! Nice interview!
Was this guy on 'The Big Bang Theory'?
Make it more nerdy, I mean like 1000 times more nerdy please
The truly scientific one..
When you think about normal matter it is power minus twenty so center of black hole can be max this size into power 23.
Freaking awesome!
For everyone complaining about Josh.. he has a schedule to meet.
Great interview! I think you should change the topic to something more attractive and inviting for other youtubers who don't recognize the name "Brian Greene"
Awesome
Bad idea to not let him finish answering that question. I want to know what he was trying to say.
Some fields of research get more attention simply because of surge of interest- these can be considered as cultural shifts.
AAAAAMMAZING!
more science verge
"Is there anything out side of space?"... What does that question even mean?
What the heck was that at the end?
I keep that last tip in mind for the next time I consider visiting a black hole ;)
I actually understood what they were saying cause I watch the Big Bang theory. Haha
Please don't interrupt the guest. :(
Love me some science
This laugh track is killing me.
+1 love it.
And next Micho Kaku!!
Wow that guy is smart
the interviewer is hilarious.

fuck yea! science!!!
verge keep it up guys
That interviewer is Lawrence Krauss' clone.
i'm not gay, but if i were, i think brian greene's wife would have some competition.
I think they'll find that there's no such thing as a singularity.
What's between them? That is easy. Space. That is all space is, "the stuff in between", I defy you to come up with a better definition.
done that
Yea, so Multiverses do exist. I told you.
So who According to you created all the other stuff outside of the so called ''human evolution'' ? Who created the Matter or the ''Antimatter'' ?
That's where brilliant people like Brian Greene come in to try and figure it out. I certainly don't believe it was any type of god nor do I need to believe it. There's no evidence of a higher power and there never has been.
No it's not, they're all part of a greater whole. Who wants to live without art?
But what IS outside the bubble???
Hyperspace
Danny Ibrahim I will have to look into this...
MJKsFan hey tool!
erriuga243 yes
on theverge.com
Michio kaku
Oh that part is good, but STOP INTERRUPTING THE GUEST with these totally not funny jokes when he tells such interesting things.
Younger Jon Stewart
This interviewer is not qualified to interview Brian, not in the least. He’s likeable, but not qualified.
He's talking a lot... bring results.. not theories of others

So you think everything is made of strings....so what would that imply ....i don't........the history of string theory. .....a joke among physicists
are these guys in a closet together or something?
last
SHUT UP FOR A SEC, AND LET THE GUEST TALK. geesh, man absurd jokes and bad manners "can i interrupt you for a second?" really?.
First(sort of)
