Could this be the UK barn find of the decade? Let us know. Have you ever seen so many valuable cars in what was, basically, a 2-car garage?!!
Watch these rare cars being removed in what can only be described as one of the most intricate car extractions you're likely to see for a while.
This is Part Two of of an AMAZING 2023 'barn find'. Part one is here - • UK Barn Find Of The De...
We are still blown away by the whole experience and hope you'll enjoy us sharing the experience with you. So many questions remain, such as; "How on earth did these cars get there?", "How did they remain in this place for so long?" and "Just how much will they make at auction?"!!
    To summarise:
    AC Ace
    AC Ace Bristol
    AC Aceca
    Jaguar E-Type Series II x3
    Land Rover Series 1 80"
    Jaguar E-Type tubs x3
    In a back garden!
Thanks to @AngliaCarAuctions for inviting us to film this. It really was a privilege and another eye-opener into how much work you put into a big classic car auction. The cars featured here will be for sale 19-20th August, 2023. Check out their catalogue here - bit.ly/ACAaugust2023 and look for The David Brown Collection.
Colin Denton of North London Garages GTA is an absolute gent and the most genuine petrolhead you are ever likely to meet. Check out his company, here - www.nlggta.co.uk/ - and be sure to watch his team on Classic Gar Garage - classiccargarage.tv/
Kudos to the guys from Chartered Transport. Watching you at work was so much fun! - www.charteredtransport.co.uk/

Yes, but that’s easy to explain: 40 year old guy buys up wrecks when they’re cheap and has plans to restore them, but never gets round to it. Realising that it’s never going to happen can be a very sad thing, so his kids don’t push him to get rid of the stuff, they just wait. And here we are, 40 years later or whatever, with a shed full of classics.

Lovely to see them coming out of there, hopefully they will find good homes. I was however cringing as they moved that last AC , the way they were ragging it round using the aluminium arches was painful to see and they have also ripped and bent up the front valance. I'm also glad I got the chance to show just how much work an auction house, especially Anglia Car Auctions, often have to put into cars like these. Classic car auctions can be a lot of work. Thanks again - Elton.

      @@WimvdBrink EXACTLY!
im watching this and all i can think is "more money than sense."
the walls at each end are just a bit of tin slapped up to cover a hole, theres plenty of room under all the junk and overgrowth at each side, and considering the whole property is going to be levelled , cleared, and "developed"... just tear the shed down altogether. half a day of some real work rather than being... stupid?
      work smarter, not harder.
and well, i dont even find these cars that interesting. if they had been old rover 10s, or RR phantoms or ghosts, panhards, durrac, standards, wolslelys, etc... edwardian era... hell, RR? what about just an R? royces early ones before charles got interested? that would have been a discovery!
      something that really IS rare...
ive already seen two e-types and a land rover today and its not 10AM yet. common as. like the mustang is just common.
dont get me wrong, i love E types. who doesnt?

the roof is even fibreglass in places. translucent. doubt its polycarb roofing, the old stuff was fibreglass.
nah. they just couldnt be bothered tidying up a bit first and instead struggled amidst the filth. i know this feeling well. as i get older, i have learnt to tidy up a bit first, its vastly easier.
maybe it makes for a better video? id personally rather see whats in the pile of junk as they pick it up than watch twits using a forklift and struggling when its simply painful to watch.

My great grandad was one of the five men on the marketing team that came up with the name Jaguar for SS Cars before they decided to rebrand under the Jaguar name. I believe they came up with it as model name initially for an SS car before they decided to rebrand entirely under the name. Naturally Jags are still a big thing in my family and I'm always pleased to see beautiful old E-Types and the like rescued from the scrapheap where possible. Great content

@@UKBarnFinds yes it would be a great series . . . You could of course go to the auction and hunt out the new buyers and put the idea to them . . . They can say "yes"or "no" . . .. the one owned by Betty Haig would be a good one to get on the track . . Not sure if it was raced or her daily . . Great job . Take care

It almost looks as if the cars were stacked up outside, and then the structure was built around them - unless the owner had access to a telehandler or similar equipment. It's also nice that he saw the value in these cars back when few others did, and saved them from likely demolition.

      Good old fashioned ingenuity.
The steel uprights have pin holes every 4", jack one end up and support with a cross beam then repeat the other end and continue till you reach the desired height.
The lintel beams at stonehenge were lifted in a similar manner but just on wooden blocks and with levers instead of hydraulics / pulleys.

Once you get the car/ load on rollers use a cum along or a chain block to save manhandling or you cant get a telehandler in.
    I can remember a E type .... needing restoration...going for a $A1000 in 1970.
My Dad sold his low mileage immaculate 1962 MK2 3.4 in 1970 for $A1800.
Jags were very rare in West Australia 50 years ago. They would have been cheaper again in Britain.

It's difficult to know how to respond to this comment, but I would like you to know that every single person involved in this admired the hard work, skill, determination and taste that the man who stored these cars showed. We spoke about it constantly, all of us. I chatted to a few neighbours, too, who also spoke highly of him. One, in particular, told me how he was always such a happy and pleasant man when they waved to each other and said hello. I hope the sale of these cars goes well. Anglia Car Auctions will work very hard to make sure it does.
