    This is not one of their best performances because the singer was sick. The singer, Josh and guitarist, Jake,are twins and bassist, Sam, is thier younger brother and drummer, Danny, is childhood friend. I LOVE this band because they are all about Peace, love and unity. They have come so far and improved so much. They are all self taught and multi instrumental. The bassist also plays the keyboards. The singer has a range to match Freddy. They grew up listening to the blues since they were babies. They are all about being honest with their music. if their voice cracks or they play the wrong note, it’s ok. They write all their own music and lyrics and are only in their mid twenty’s. Jake the guitarist has been voted guitarist of the year for 3 years, Danny the drummer won drummer of the year and they also won a Grammy. I love their message and how they have handled themselves with any negativity. I saw them live last year and will go again when they come around. May I suggest Heat Above or Age of Man or Flower power from Red Rocks… phenomenal!

    I recommend watching their complete Red Rocks performance. This is where I discovered them and isn’t one of their best performances (Pretty sure Josh the singer was sick). They’ve evolved so much from back when I seen them in 2019 to now.

    This is where I first discovered the band. Your analysis of the band was pretty good. The drummer Has loosened up through the years and turned into a very good drummer. I too have always liked Josh, the singers lower voice but it too has matured with age. The bands appeal just might be "back to the basics" with old time rock-n-roll.

    I grew up in the 60s and 70s & from the mid-eighties all the way through till pretty much now I have never been able to get into music anymore. This band came along I was quite happy. It reminds me of my brother's band back in the 70s playing in our garage or our basement.

    This seems like so long ago, they've changed so much. Josh is one of the best singers out there. He has gone through coaching, he staying largely in the upper, and it's amazing. He sings pretty much flawlessy live, night after night, it's amazing to see. If I see you've checked out some of their newer stuff, I'll stop back by! Thank you!

    Where do I start? They are phenomenal musicians, beautiful people and they carry an amazing message of peace,love and unity. Truly the connection these guys have formed with us the peaceful army is amazing. I'm a 52 yr old and they re ignited my desire to listen to new music. They are truly special. Their growth from this performance is astounding as well.

    As a rock fan for more than 50 years, it’s nice to see young artists trying to keep rock alive. You used the word lazy when describing the 90’s rock. Lazy is what your seeing in country music. So call country singers with long hair,ripped jeans and jewelry.

    Their new album is much better IMO.
    Also the 90s didn't kill the swagger, the 2000s did. 90s had some of the most passionate rock music imo (with more meaning than most of the 80s).

    Not their finest moment. Try out their Red Rocks Performance. It is a magnificent opus in their career so far! Plus look into their Candlelight Sessions performances as well. But this was not a great, prepared gig for GVF stage wise not whatsoever. As for Led Zeppelin comparisons? They have really come a long way I believe.

    Okay I love GVF but you dissed my favorite band and my all time favorite singer & song writer Chris Cornell. Just because you didn’t get it doesn’t mean it wasn’t great. BTW I was born in the 60s and grew up in the 70s. The 90s was my favorite music era across the board. Unfortunately we lost SRV in 90. It would have really been awesome if he was still there to.

    The biggest difference between the old bands and the new ones is with the old bands it was a way of life. The dress, the sound, the lifestyle. Most bands from the 70s weren't much different from the way they were on stage. With the new rock bands and even the good ones, music feels like a job to them. They are into good healthy diets and dress very casual off stage to the point that they are unrecognizable off stage. They also don't make any money anymore so that will keep you away from bad habits too. The only artists that are living the way they perform now is the rappers (i.e. all of the arrests), they are still part of the streets. Rock has become too blue collar and everyday ho hum - nothing special or rebellious anymore. Do you think the greats from the 70s cared about being cancelled? They cancelled society long before they became big - that's what made them special.

  • @billzimmerman5464

    This is an abbreviated version of this song. The singer wasn't very healthy here. Their recent work is vastly improved, and their lives shows are crazy good.

  • @kindking8009
    @kindking8009 Год назад +2

    You picked one of their worst performances! Josh typically sounds so much better than this. He was SUPER nervous that night. If you heard some of his more recent work you'd definitely be saying he's the standout. Please check out some more recent stuff. They've moved away from the LZ sound more and are getting into a sound of their own. Do a reaction to their latest single, Meeting the Master. Josh's vocals are absolutely other worldly. For the record, their appeal isn't just on stage. They're just as entertaining off stage, yet very down-to-earth, genuinely nice people and great to their fans.
