My mom is half Italian half Sicilian. My father is German. I grew up in the 70's-80"s. Lol. Running around in a restaurant....yeah...you were risking your life with a stunt like that!
Ja Voll!
I'm Italian, but we have a lot of Germans (and mixed Italian/Germans) throughout my family. We always had a joke, growing up....don't mess with the Axis powers. lol. Italians and Germans are two stern ethnicities that do not mess around when it comes to discipline. All the kids were definitely disciplined and respectful.
Born in 1970 Half Italian half German....mom got divorced when I was 3 raised by all Italians you did not run around in a restaurant...you didn’t even think about it
@@truthteller4442 lol...boy...you ain't kidding. I was particularly terrified of my uncle Sonny (Angelo) he would just glare at you, which meant you had about 10 seconds to get some " act right" about you...cause if you didn't, and he had to verbally get onto you, you were borderline going to get an oldschool Italian beating. I never took it that far. And the weird thing about all that is that once I was grown, me and him became real tight...he was actually a pretty funny guy who just felt that kids should not be given the freedom to run over adults. Anyway RIP uncle Sonny.
@@ugaais yep...I remember when I was 3 or 4 running around a big family wedding with a few of my cousins....we were scooped up by our parents lickidy split. My mother grabbed my inner thigh with one hand and the skin under my arm ( past the elbow) with her other hand. And squeezed as hard as she could....all the while whispering in my ear that if I let out one sound she was going to jerk my britches down in front of 300 people and give me the worst ass whooping the world had ever seen...That was the last time I acted up in public.
Can't STAND kids like that!!!
I blame the PARENTS!!
Sebastian has honed his craft and is at the top of the stack. I won't even hesitate to call him a genius. Sharp as a razor.
I guess that’s why he was able to buy a 25 million dollar house in LA lol
I come from a Italian family of 10 kids... We were soldiers! My Father was the General.. We are so thankful and blessed!
I bet this loser is so proud of such mediocrity
You had a good father.
Can’t stand parents that let their kids go nuts, no control nothing so annoying
Why? Because you were an angel when you were 5?
@@ostreds did you not read the comment ? They can’t stand parents that “let” their kids go nuts & don’t control them. Control them 🤙🏼
Their worse than the kids playing with moms cell phone or has their own table. I rather see little Katie playing candy crush than have little Danny running all over the restaurant
@@ostreds I wasn't, but i knew when to behave and always respected my elders it was instilled in me very early in life.
Exactly. As a future police officer, either discipline your kids OR I WILL WHEN I COME ACROSS EM AS ADULTS.
😄😂😆 Exactly. The only difference is that my dad wouldn't have taken me outside. I would've "got it" right there for everyone to see. 😉☺🤪
...for real
*we wouldn'tve gotten out of our chair, in the first place. Period. 🌼
Now just imagine the "fathers" of today finding out their kids are down at the courthouse trying to light it on fire with people inside!
Sorry no imagination necessary, just go to Portland............. SMH.........Disgusting creatures lurking amongst us!!
@@82cj8 Absolutely. Most "fathers" today don't even deserve the title of Dad. They're too self obsessed to devote the time it takes to instill morals, discipline, or even common decency in their offspring. I'm not saying "all" men, so don't shoot the messenger. 🤗😊✌
Exactly! It would have been a public shaming for the masses! The embarrassment alone would have been catastrophic....not to mention the absolute physical assault that would have rendered me into a sobbing blob. Which would have required another beat down! My parents didn't play...and in public.....oh boy! They really didn't play!
@@clownchaostime3024 You described the would be scenario perfectly! Did your dad ever say...."You better stop crying or I'm really gonna give you something to cry about!" ? 😉😄😆 Just so everyone knows, being disciplined as children does not leave us broken or weak. Quite the contrary. 🌞💛👍👁🧠🤗
Half the crowd doesn't know about that kind of discipline, they were the "Stars for good behavior" kids the other half had the parents exactly the way he just described. You could hear the indifference in the claps😅
There's nothing wrong with stars for good behavior.
It’s right up there with people who bring all their kids to supermarket ,run around and cough all over the place
I have seen people go up to a Walmart with a few kids, and drop them off! Like it's some kind of daycare! When I told a coworker about this, she informed me how it's not that uncommon and that her and her sister used to do that all the time to " get away from the chaos"! I couldn't believe what I was hearing. She went on to say how Walmart had everything to keep her 7, 9, and 12 year old busy! Toys, TV, a McDonald's. She would give the 12 year old $20 bucks for McDonald's and drop the kids off while her and her husband went to the movies sometimes! Then proceeded to explain how it was ok cause if anything happened the 12 year old had her cellphone in case anything happened!
Sebastian can turn "anything" into something funny! He is truly blessed with this gift!
I was born to immigrant parents (Croatian) who migrated to Melbourne, Australia in the 1960s ... together with hundreds of thousands of Italians, Greeks etc over here. Born in the 70s, growing up in that decade and the 80s .... our parents were EXACTLY as Sebastian described. It was the BEST .... !! Sebastian, please come to Melbourne one day, you will be shocked at the phenomenon and following you have down here. We LOVE you. You are by far, the BEST comedian l have ever seen in my life .... and you are pure GENIUS!!. What a profoundly exceptional talent! God Bless!
BIL's family 3rd generation Croatian. Yeah...you respect family.
@@lauramalek3128 Absolutely ... family is everything. Big hello to you from gorgeous Melbourne!
I was in tears over “black bag” and “undisclosed location!”
😂😂”there’d be a lot of bowing.” Hahahahahahah
Absolutely one of the best in the business.
😂😂😂 so funny but so true, and not only for Italian families, but most any other culture that values respectful and civilized behavior am I right? Sebastian Maniscalco is a gem, may he continue to entertain us for at least another 50 years. There's no retirement for talented comedians.....
As children We we’re often told by my mother that if we misbehaved she would “Stomp us into the middle of next week” We believed her !!!! And that was enough to keep us on the straight and narrow. So thankful I had parents who loved me enough to set boundaries and discipline me when I needed it . Grateful that I had parents instead of “friends” for parents .
Sooo funny...so true! Passive parents letting kids do whatever they want, seems to be an epidemic. Passive parents need to watch this video.
If the parents dont correct the kid somebody else will some day.
Makes you wonder what the future will look like
Passive parents, today are the WOKE parents....
I must’ve missed the memo saying parents are supposed to stop being parents anymore. And no more manners are to be taught.
Wait until these kids grow older. It's going to be a disaster!
@@hugostiglitz8465 and then when those creatures have kids respect won’t even be a word anymore so those kids will grow up to be absolute clowns smh
@@nick_leitch - Yep, but I'll be long gone before I see that happen. Lol.
Parents stop being parents because they have no healthy attachment to themselves which transcends to their children, thus path of least resistance, and if any discipline is required it's abusive. You can know the dynamics here simply when the adult says to the child to stop, they simply don't; then it's blamed on age. Children are a product of their environment.
Exactly! My parents did not put up with that and neither did my husband or I with our kids. You are seriously my favorite comedian!
So damn true! My parents would slap me into next week, and wait for the weekend if I ever misbehaved in a restaurant! Lol
Yawn.
I'm sorry but that kid would have got hurt. Bad. Lol
Real bad.. /Russell's dad
@@Pasan34 lol exactly !
Oh yeah
My dad would have lost his shit in French right there!
@Spencer York absolutely agree!
He would have shit his pants?😂
Okay, now I'm laughing!
First of all I was never allowed to leave my seat in the restaurant. I was allowed one potty trip. As a waitress, I hated it when parents let their kids go free range in the restaurants. I’m not their babysitter and I shouldn’t have to worry about tripping on your kid or cleaning up after them. Kids aren’t taught manners and politeness anymore. Parents are friends and not parents. Your kid needs a PARENT not another friend. Be the grownup.
EXACTAMUNDO! 100%
I agree 100% Parents don't teach their children mangers anymore.
@@aidapiva-pazos1697 Oh, shut up!
My niece and nephew are. And speaking of respect, how about some respect for a dead millennial named Kiera Larsen who sacrificed her life for two younger girls, by pushing them out of the way of a parked car that began rolling down a hill, which resulted in her getting hit herself and then dying on the way to the hospital. Brave, selfless, and gone at the age of 10! You attack one you attack 'em all, so watch what you say people!
And RUclips, this is none of your flippin' business, you're not nuking my account for these comments. If the user has a problem with them, he can remove them, but you better butt out!
I love this guy!
Running around a restaurant would NEVER have even crossed my mind. Misbehaving IN PUBLIC would gotten me smacked IN PUBLIC.
After watching a four year old boy running around a restaurant and screaming at different patrons and the women at his table doing nothing because he is a male and in their culture, he cannot be reprimanded...he was making his way to my table. He came up right beside me, I grabbed his arms, pulled him over to his table and sat him down. The patrons clapped. I told the women to either make him behave or leave the restaurant. Finally, the manager said something to them. Someone paid for our dinner. I am a woman by the way.
Bravo!
clearly you dont live in the USA
lawsuit!
Old skool style, the way that worked, respect to you.
What culture for god’s sake?
@@wendsschumacher-milburn the Only culture it must be is Muslims Islamic. I've seen this in department stores I've worked in and it appears the Muslim women can't dissapline their daughters either because they allowed their children to run free, Destroy displays, talk loud, just Zero manners
Parents nowadays act like undisciplined kids.
Only because they don't license them and never did.
So therefore, it's not just nowadays.
Comedy genius. Sebastian is brilliant at delivery.
There are no witnesses on the car ride home.
Kids have it easy these days.
Spot on! That is how it should be! Nowadays, no one has any control or manners!
🤣🤣🤣🤣I would have returned a brand new kid 😂😂😂😂with the bowing that one killed me
The comment caught me right away "if I ever slapped an adult at a restaurant?", how about if I ever slapped an adult ANYWHERE. When I was a kid in the early 60's you didn't even give any adult a bad look much less contact & I'm glad to have learned respect like that. Looking back those were great days, some of the best in my life.
Absolutely True! It must be old school Italian Parenting! ROTFLMAO 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
We got the stern look and a knock on the head ... no way I let my kids get away with that crap either. You are so funny!
I'm listening to this in public with my earphones on and I'm pretty sure everybody thanks I am crazy by the way I'm laughing 😅
3 am ..can’t sleep..small blizzard outside.. yet..I’m watching and laughing my tail off!!! 🌹 Sebastian rules!
My mother always knew where the nearest restroom was to haul me and my sister to so she could tear our asses up... good times lol
For me it was the car, and I now tell my daughter when she is acting up in a store that if she wants to throw a fit I will take her to the car and then we can come back in the store. Haha sebastian was right when he said I woulda come back a brand new kid
@@catara99 😂
You know this happened. And you KNOW that kid's parents watched this show after.
Right? Lol
I hope that they did watch it, and I hope that it created an awareness for what lackadaisical, negligent parents that they are! They should be embarrassed!!
I can't stop watching this video. LOL. Sebastian you are the best. Thank you 💚.
As a kid, my mom usually had me quiet and still in a restaurant but if I somehow decided to start running around and hit a family elder in the head, I dunno. I might've been vaporized.
Chicago in Da house
When I was a kid it was yes sir no sir please and thank you . Kids where to be seen and not heard and god forbid we did something and got the “look” it was all over but the hollern when we got home . We feard my dad then god in that order lol
I have a phobia of restaurants because of people like that and their kids. It's like the rest of the paying customers are babysitting their kids. I'd rather sit in a cheap cigar-smoking only section as long as it was kid-free. (Or only Japanese kids 😅)
we were in kfc in michigan one day and we noticed a super hyper kid . he was being controlled by his parents coz I think he was autistic too . he came right up to my daughter n nearly hit her . but we did not say anything coz we knew he was a special needs kid . n the father kept on apologizing. I sd no nd to apologize . that being sd . I have a nephew who is super hyper .. not a special needs kids . mind u im from south east Asia living in the US and my nephews n his family are from Asia too . he was so freaking rude at one point . im a small sized person . he was 9 and he asked me aunty Brenda , why are u so short ? I then asked him to put up all his fingers and asked if his fingers were all the same size ? he sd no . like the same when God made men , I sd . we all come in different shapes n sizes . he kept quiet . then we had a video call one day , he made fun of my kids especially my son . and guess what his parents sd ? nothing . all kept quiet . the mother sd .. oh he is just being himself . I would hv slapped the crap out of him . its been almost 4 years we have not spoken to these ppl . the mother believes in them expressing themselves , that includes being rude and not to be corrected . try that with me and things will change for them .
When you're waiting the kid is losing their minds and Karen's on her phone. Not doing a damn thing.
@@brendad.c114 Kids who can’t behave shouldn’t be taken to restaurants. What about that idea? smh
I can NOT wait to see him live again!! He's freakin hilarious.
I been binge watching the same specials every night the past 3 months 🤣🤣🤣
Don’t know HOW I would have gotten through a year of stupid covid without your videos. Last thing I do before bed is listen to one of your routines. Doesn’t matter how many times I’ve seen it, it’s still funny as hell. Thank you so much for being my mental health drug.
Also I relate to you. You’re talking about my Italian upbringing too. It’s like going home.
God bless you and your extended family. Hopefully there’s an Italian section in heaven cause other people won’t EVER understand us.
It’s not just an Italian thing, Irish, Scottish and my Southern French mother had that style. I wouldn’t dream of misbehaving in a public place.
I'm 70 now, but remember as a child in the South the thought of misbehaving or disobeying never even crossed our minds. When we saw kids acting up or talking back we were even more shocked than the adults present.
Brilliant I’m in London. It’s midnight and I’m Waking my mrs up laughing too loud.
Same here #london #nightlaugh
I am 49 years old and I can relate to Sebastian's jokes and his stories and also my husband

This is so true, hitting an adult would never even cross my mind growing up, same goes to hitting a kid. How come new generation kids do what they feel like without consequences.
They don't. Not all of them.
I agree Seb. You are absolutely right. What happened to good parenting? They aren't the same as a long time ago when i was growing up. RESPECT!!!
🙄
My Father would just look at me and I knew I better behave! I grew up in the 70's, 100% Sicilian. We were taught to show respect always.
i don't play with ppls kids that act like that...i let the parents and kid know that whatever that kid does to me...I'm doing it back to them if they don't check him!
well, you're the adult. if parents can't raise their child right maybe you should give the kid some clues instead of behaving like a badly raised child.
Never gets old i still laugh everytime i see his clips
My parents must have been related to yours!
I always relate to Sebastian so well lol
They cut it at the funniest part (when he pretends to be the kids taking note of his friends eating their chocolate/candy.. so hilarious.
The only people clapping are the ones with any dignity left.
My day has just gotten better!
Besides our upbringing (we all certainly agree with Sebastian), the most important consideration is ....how damn funny is this clip??!!
I laughed for 2 minutes straight 😅😅😅
You are so correct, you’re on a great level, spot on. 👍
OH NONONONOOOOO!!! My dad would go ARE YOU STUPID??!! WHAT DA HELL IS THE MATTER WITH YOU???! We didn't act up because of THE LOOK. You get a side eye from my dad?? START RUNNING...
Wealthy people have bratty kids.

This guy is great!
Hit it on the nose Sebastian, lol
"The other day I had a craving for nuts... so I went shopping with my Wife and her Mother." 🤣
My single mom handled everything before we even went out to a restaurant. She would let us know if we missed behave we were gonna get it. My sister and I did not dare her.
Sebastion I come from a Caribbean family, that display of foulness would never cross my mind as a child. Even now, in my maturing years, I couldn't contemplate it!
The joke while hes not joking is funny
So true
Driving a school bus will give you a real eye opening experience on some childrens behaviour.
The thought of a child doing wild shit and talking back to me is absolutely hilarious. I almost WISH my son would do that. But, since he's just a kid and I'm an adult, that's not happening.
Master the art of 'the look'. One look and my son sits and shuts his mouth. End of story.
One kid tells another kid what they're doing differently in they're family, and suddenly your own child makes living at home, in comparison to prison in 3rd world country lol
I will never forget my grade 3 teacher in Europe in the 1980's who still resorted to using a heavy wooden ruler to discipline students. It was a time when those old ways were falling out of favour even for that era. She's still one of the teachers I respect most. She didn't just discipline for bad behaviour but for poor performance as well. She brought out the best in us. I got that ruler across the hand more than a few times and I was her best student! She simply would not let me fail to achieve my full potential. Parenting and the education system is at an all time low.
Thats soo true about the education system not mentioned here in this joke. I tried my best in school, I was in the G.A.T.E program. I see these days children are given diplomas for free. Not fair to the rest of us that earned our titles through the sweat of our brow.
So glad you called this behavior out! Unreal how crappy parents can be nowadays
I haven't actually watched this yet, but it's already a safe bet I'll easily prefer Richard Pryor or George Carlin with profanity over this clip any day.🥱
My dad would have put a black bag over my head and through me in the trunk and drove me to an undisclosed
Location . and made me find my way home .
😂😂😂 Love your physicality and your energy!
Ha! I wudn't have hands left to work ANYwhere!! And my dad wudda done it rite there, then continue to eat! No b.s. LOL!
Friggin hilarious and so true. My mom would have done the same thing and we're not even Italian. Lol.
Okay, you're right, everyone. There's fear of authority, but there's also facing your fears.
Hilarious! And back when I was a kid, no way was I running around. My mom would have my a** on a platter!
We simply just got "the look"
The wait till we get home look?
Love your content man
Gotta comment on this yet again. The world needs waaaasy more Sebastian and WAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY less Supernanny.
LOL...this guy is great and to the point. Parents do not realize how much other people in the restaurant(or even relatives!) HATE their kids who act as described....even while trying to keep a fake smile on their faces to remain civil or keep family peace. They daydream about grabbing the kid and inflicting great torture...ha, if they only could get away with it. A slow satisfied smile spreads across their face....the stuff dreams are made of when having to be around uncontrolled brats. However, truly it is the parents fault 100%...but the kids get the hate.
Dad only needed to give us the look, we knew what was up. Definitely wouldn't have pulled some shit like that.
That is right, much better education back then.
He's a genius 😂😂😂😂
@.33 give or take when he close lines himself, I’m out! 🤣🥊🤣🥊
