Director Gabriella Loutfi took a real cinematic approach with the song subject - rather than showing the current evolution of Orwell's 1984 "Big Brother", we turned the clock back to 1984 BC, showing how power struggles for control and order are timeless. The video plays out like chapters of a story - dominating rule, a demand for instant gratification, a revolt and the tables turn. Gabriella gave a 'tip of the hat' to pioneer filmmakers like George Méliès, often choosing organic methods rather than digital effects. An example is the drowning scenes - long blue and white sheets stretching across a room, each end held by crew, being rippled and waved by hand as the actors would descend between them.

This is my favorite video and one of my favorite songs. Had the opportunity to meet Ron last Saturday 4/24/21 for the second time and was a great experience. He’s one of the most kind and humble people in the music industry. Never disappoints, awesome show and combined with the great Jeff Scott Soto it was even better. I regret not buying every album he had on sale there. I was able to buy the Bumblefu**ed hot sauce at least. Yes, Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal has his own line of hot sauces. Thanks for being such a down to earth guy Ron, thanks for take the time to share with your fans. That’s the spirit of a TRUE rockstar. Hope to see you again soon in Houston. 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽

I CANNOT believe I had NO idea who Bumblefoot was as a musician/guitarist - especially given I grew up during the 80's and that I've have been playing guitar since the mid 80's. Not to mention, I was all into the "shredders"of the 80's (Malmsteen, Impelliterri, Vai, MacAlpine, Gilbert, etc.). Fortunately I was able to see Sons of Apollo/MacAlpine play in San Francisco about 5-6 weeks ago...what a show! Anyway, keep coming out with the solo stuff - its terrific!
I share words already said, but very true. He is a master on the guitar with personal creation and feeling that reaches the ear and the soul. Added, sings excellent! But the most important thing is his humility, which makes him a rarity, on a planet where show business "stars" have always shone dimly, fed by ego-inflating publicists and image consultants. So, congratulations to this great person and musician par excellence (and singer!!)
IT took me several days to understand the meaning of the song. Instead of having a 1986 Big brother we've democratized the surveillance big brother aspect into a million eyes little brothers who are waiting for celebrities(pharaohs type) to make mistakes. By having a voyeuristic nature we transform ourselves into millions of judges who are ready to destroy their idols like piranhas. Its an awesome theme ready to be a novel or a movie.
He is incredible. Can’t believe he gets Zero air play or recognition. Thank you so much Ron. Do what you do so well brother!

Jess Mtz Sure, on drums and on guitar, they're not very hard :) Except the solos of course, and the tapping part on the chorus of WRTW that's too hard to be found by ear, but i think i'll re watch the studio video where he plays this part and learn it this way one day :)
