- Cops spot a suspicious man wandering the streets in a known drug area. Concerend the officers question him and soon find he has a warrant and has drugs on him. In California, officers stop a suspicious vehicle and quickly notice the driver acting weirdly. Elsewhere, cops deal with a shoplifting call and find a couple whose story don't match up.
Real-life officers are followed by a camera crew, cinéma-vérité style, in a gritty up-close look at police work and the consequences of crime. It spawned a number of police-reality imitators.

Person such as myself when i was doing crime, getting caught is the furthest thing from the mind. And when it happens you sit there thinking, why in the hell did i do that for. If i would have taken 2 minutes to think about my actions and what the consequences are id probably not have done any prison time, well not nearly as much. I feel like im missing a component in my brain, the part that does rational thinking. Yeah that's my excuse 😂

Good day, bad day, all of it... But it boils down to wanting to get high.. When you run out of excuses to get high and realize it's your choice to use and nothing more... Well, then you can get help
