Personally, I'm really into the hour long+ format. Sometimes I watch it all in one go, sometimes I watch it over a number of days. But either way it's the highlight of my Unite content.

I'd legitimately love to see you play some quick battles. I think they can actually be really interesting, and it can be a nice play to try untraditional things, try a pokemon you'd never really run in a ranked match, or just break up the video a bit.

As a ftp, I do at least one quick battle every day for those 50 tickets!!
It's definitely worth it to spend 5 minutes and just get it off stream at least.
(If you're trying to record everything just cut out the quick battles and upload them separately. Free content/real estate)
Yup, Totally agree if you think about it 1 week of 1 quick challenge a day is 350 tickets (35 item enchancers).
Plus quick battles are great for scoring/killing challenges which usually the battle pass daily/weekly challenges.
A couple standard/quick battle games a day go a long way.
I recommend doing them on CPU matches, just so you can ensure it also counts towards your 2 wins mission (and so you can get it over with quickly)
i usually play quick battle when it's not the last (what is it name again?) cause it needs good teammates

The Ninetales Drednaw solo attempt had me sweating hahaha. It's unfortunate that she's just a little too frail and not DPS-y enough to reliably solo objectives.
I do that sometimes,i give a "good job" to everyone,except that person(a gengar last time) that was stealing my jungle,died a lot haven't showed up to team fights,haven't scored a single point and decided to take Zapdos by himself when we didn't need it 🤣🤣🤣
I do like these videos and I’ll watch them all the way. I think they are entertaining and are relatable to my past games. I think they will make a good catalog of how a journey to masters looks, especially free to play.

18:00 I switched how I level up my moves to button combo. I like it more cause hitting a directional button is stupid, but I'll often eject button for no reason other than I'm trying to hurry lol
Love this series! Also, i don't mind some quick matches to get the rewards as part of this series. It is a real part of the F2P road to masters after all, to get all the rewards!
That’s what I do! Do 3 games in quick to hopefully get the 2 win bonus and clear all the daily challenges, plus it helps complete high point challenges quicker as well!

I believe you can also do quick matches against CPU and you will still get the rewards :)

I am enthusiastically trying to get as high as I can. I probably won't get to Masters (I just started two weeks ago) but I would like to get to a decent rank just so I can prove to myself I can learn lol

I never had an issue with ejecting whilst scoring, but I have had times where I’ve spammed ‘A’ and wondering why the jump pad at spawn didn’t launch me.
I press down an inch away from the jump pad and I just get sent back to base
please do everything possible during this series. quick battles, all missions, etc. give yourself the best chance to win
you are hilarious. I already loved your content but this episode truly opened my eyes to your comedic genius.
Actually love the format. Listen the whole thing in 2 times. Sometimes 1 game feels like not enough.
I’m in Vet 3 right now and from Elite to Vet, I still have about 30% of games where I rotate to bottom and my partner doesn’t, calls for backup, gets 3v1 koed, and then heads BACK to top lane to try to defend up there and is just hanging out working on rotom (usually not defeating it before we finish the drednaw fight…) I’m signaling the whole time to gather and defeat Drednaw together. Nothing ever works when people just don’t know what to do to beat the other team more efficiently. Not everyone is watching you, Content Cowboy Jake:)

Don’t worry, we don’t expect you to play master level while in beginner Ranks. You literally can’t. Rotating to objectives makes no sense when your team is ignoring them.
It still does! I’ve gone to Dred, hidden in the grass and spammed “Gather Here!” until eventually attacking Drednaw and about 50% of the time, my team will come down and help
@@wolfiemuse I mean sometimes that will happen, but at low ranks nobody knows what they're doing frankly.
You could have spent all the time hiding in the bush actually levelling up or something. Anytime I see someone standing still in a MOBA, they're probably doing something wrong.

If you do buy a Pokemon in the near future maybe buy Chomp for the late game carry or Gengar because people might not be good at counter play

To answer your question towards the end, I really like these long videos, and I definitely don’t want to miss any battle of not using X-attack! I’m just not always able to watch long videos in one go, I hope that’s not a bad algorithm thing for your views or anything :[
Edit: o and about your trainer card, you could also position your avatar to make it look like a bot trainer card
I know Giga Drain/Petal Dance isn't the build for Venusaur but I would love a Pokemon that did operate with something like that. Someone with more health that can actually run in and tank while healing itself and dealing damage in the immediate area sounds so fun. You can kinda do it with Zera but it just doesn't have the health to stay in there and work the whole discharge sometimes.

What if Experience Share got the buff of getting your unite move and upgraded moves 1 level sooner. Maybe that would be enough to get supports to take it.

I like the longer video style for this series. I usually watch/listen while at work (my work is boring and takes no attention at all, please help me). But I gotta say Im still disappointed its not a rodeo to masters. I think jake one would have come up with that
Idk if this works with your schedule but I feel like these would be perfect to live stream, then you can make compilations of the matches/ best moment and make videos out of those. I like this long play style though! It works
About unite moves. I usually try to use it pretty soon after I get it because I want to squeeze out an extra use of it during the game.
When you started talking/singing about writing a song about yourself being a hero did no one else think of Captain Hammer singing Everyone's a Hero in their own way?
I haven't actually taken the time to test this, but I'm pretty sure Drednaw's melee autos do more than his ranged autos, which is why you started taking less damage when kiting.

Hi there I know that I don't always play in the quick battles either and the only time I used them if I need to practice with a new Pokemon in the quick battle mode for me. So I wouldn't mind you playing the quick once in a while.
I’d say don’t post every quick battle by default but if funny stuff happens it’s worth it. Definitely do the quick battles off screen at least. On a f2p account those extra 50 tickets every day have been huge over time

Jake, I'm trying to climb right there with you. I would find it extremely helpful if you could teach us how to carry low ranked games. I could use a hand. I find myself struggling to get people to stop chasing the enemy all the way into their base and come help with what would bfr a free Drednaw. Is it worth trying to solo and possibly getting it stolen, or just go back to lane and farm?
That’s a great question and it’s some thing that I’m thinking about all the time as I play this. If no one goes to an objective with you and you aren’t someone they can easily solo it it’s probably better to farm
6:00 Buying items with tickets is probably a big mistake for a free to play account. You really need the tickets to buy those item enhancers. (can only be bought with tickets (and gems)). And you will need A LOT of those. So saving coins "to buy some pokemon" is potentially a big waste if you want to actually level up those items to be better positioned in rank. Also coins are readily more available anyway.
I was always under the impression Elvis isn't dead. We are waiting for him to be brought back. That's what Independence Day taught me.

Buying the items that can be won in the crustle challenge isn't a bad idea. You do get 30 enhancers if you win an item you already own.
It might seem like a bad exchange ; 6000 coins for 180 enhancers but this is the only time where you can indirectly buy enhancers with coins instead of tickets on a free to play account.
The game does reward upto 3500 coins a week where as you only get 700 tickets. So it can be beneficial to those that want to have level 20 items asap.

With Zera, when you bolt switch back, if an enemy is in the spot where you left, don’t do you a little bit more damage to them?
Yes you do damage when volt switching back if an enemy is in the path of the volt switch ☺️
