How to fix SteelSeries Nova Pro Wireless comfort problems easily (Wicked Cushion upgrade)

- I've been using the @SteelSeries Nova Pro Wireless as my main headset for some time now and it is my very favourite for reasons I covered before ( • My new favourite heads... ). BUT I know that some people have problems with the design of the ANC microphone on the inside of the ear cup. This can press against your ear and cause discomfort. I personally haven't had this problem, but now, well after a year of use I've found the ear pads are wearing out, so I thought it was time to sort them out.
In this video I'm showing you how @WickedCushions has the solution in the form of aftermarket ear cushions which can help make things better but also have other benefits such as cooling gel.
I bought two different variations of the Wicked Cushions ear cups -
WC Freeze in snow camo and the more standard looking WC Upgraded Replacement Earpads.

great video like always ! so i wondering if the radius inside the cup is bigger ( i mean more space for the ear ) ? looks like there is more room for the ear on the wc upgrade ? maybe im wrong ? sadly you didnt measure that.
I too have that nipple in the ear issue. Never thought that would be a bad thing but in this case it is. Thanks, I'm givng the freeze ones a try!

Never had an issue with the nipple. But I also bought Wicked Cushions at the same time with the headset.

Yes, I had to warranty replace them about 6months

I’m looking to save some money on my pc build and want to get a 240 elite Nzxt aio and mount it on top of my Hyte y60. I was wondering if I can use 3 lian li daisy chain cans and still mount all 3 on top with the 240 aio? What do you think?
They release a new version with anc fix. It is smaller now.
I had no issues with the nipple. Only issue I had was ear sweat so I wasn’t ahead and bout the wicked cushion cups and noticed a drastic change in sound quality. I may revert back to the original cups 😔
i don't know why but even with the freeze pads my headset seems too tight and extending the arms kind of helps but then the thing is just pressing down on your ears and slipping off as well... i've worn a lot of headphones over the years and the only one that has caused me more pain is the Bose QC-3 which are on ear.
Steelseries have apparently done a silent revision where the nipple is gone, but not sure how we could know if we're getting the pre or post-revision version when buying it :)

Yea. If you buy the latest ones they’ve made the nub the same size as the Turtle Beach Stealth Pro’s.
Can confirm , on my pair the nubs look smaller than the ones in this video, and they sre manufactured 08 of 2023

@@TheProvokedPrawn one question i have for you. Do you get any popping sounds when adjusting volume via the headphone volume wheel or the dac wheel? I get it while playing any continuous sound , like music or someone talking in discord. Between -16 db and -5 db , i turn the wheel and i hear slight pops , just like on a old headset. Google popping sound on volume knob. They say it's due to dust on the potentiometer , but i just got my headset yesterday so it cant be that. Do you have it ? Can you test and please come back with a reply? I have mine on deep bass preset with gain on high , and surround sound on with all the way to performance and 65 on distance. Thanks
How is the ANC overall on them? Does it reduce audio quality, or is it really negligible? And do they high clamp-force?
Not as good as fancier headphones with ANC, but good enough to block a lot of fan noise from your PC and other things. I don't think it has a strong clamping force.

Not tried the A50x but love the Nova Pro Wireless
Now it is more expensive. In Canada, I can buy a Nintendo OLED for Nova pro price from Best Buy. Such a bad price.
