That was a very informative video. I had learned how to do this a long time ago and had not remembered it exactly. You explanation and video was clear and concise. Thank you very much.
You did a better job of explaining this repair than the floor guy's did. And the repair came out so good my daughter's landlord didn't notice the repair. I did let the landlord know all the repairs that I did, just felt it only fair to see if the landlord was happy with them. But he already passed the unit walk through and he couldn't tell the vinyl was repaired. Thanks
It was a great day . I just went to my other house, daughter moved the fridge and damaged the floor. It's about a 5-inch triangular rip . I'm going back tomorrow to try patching up many thanks for the video

This is the video i needed!! I have extra sheet, i just need the adhesive and tools. Wish me luck!! 😂
Silly question: shouldn't I cut a whole "plank" if possible? That way there isn't a mark inside the plank, but a whole solid plank?

@Maintenance Man Narratives Yay, just finished and I'm so happy. Again thank you.
I always cut the patch materal first. Then just trace the bad area.😊

I've just saw another video and it wasn't as clean and precise as you did. Good job Man

Cool thanks for sharing 👍 great video

Others mention a seam sealer which may fill in those tiny seams and make it truly invisible.
If you don't use seam sealer, water and dirt will get in and cause the lino to lift where the cut lines are.
Nice job! Thanks for the video.
Great job!
My sons have done this in my kitchen with the dinning chairs, loads of small ones....hope I can fix it 😖
Yikes!! I would start practicing on the most hidden ones. Good luck!!

I need this done are you in los angles
😏 Im in Tucson
I dont get it. ...2 layers?
The vinyl I'm fixing was placed over old vinyl. So I had to do two layers, the bottom layer was just a filler and the top is what is visible
@@MaintenanceManNarratives thanks for your explanation on that.
