This one is for someone else trying to know what BAD VS GOOD looks like on one of these. Furthermore, I was unable to duplicate the complaint after the new sensor was installed. So as time goes on, I will come back to update everyone on whether or not the new updated sensor fixed the customer's complaint.
This is absolutely the best video for yaw sensor diagnostics. I had to change my electronic brake control module recently and bought used module with the exact same part number. The abs works great with no issues, but now I have a yaw rate sensor error. I'm thinking my yaw rate sensor may need to be calibrated for the change in the the abs module. Just seen the section in the video about that brake module change can affect it! Awesome! Thanks so much!!!.
So little out there about these IMHO, I wanted to capture one when I had the chance, not the best quality, but it's something. God bless you too Billy!

Great video. My scanner only allows me to reset the Yaw sensor. Trouble code is U1826:00 "Lost Communications with multi-axis acceleration sensor module". Replaced Yaw sensor...no change. Reset doesn't clear the code. Of course Service Stabilitrac is on due to this. Not another code on the whole car. 2011 Cadillac CTS-V. Any suggestions?
Do you show a video on how to replace this sensor? I can not find ANYTHING online to help with this job?? I am really stuck here and I do not have a hi-end scanner but my scanner is picking up a YAW sensor issue. Is there a fuse or relay I can check before taking about the inside of the car?
I have a 2011 Chevy HHR, that for months, the RF Wheel Speed Sensor triggered with the Service ESC warning. Yet today, the Yaw rate sensor code popped in. So this appears to be the same issue. I've put ~150K miles on it since purchased "Used,", May 1, 2017. I will be checking in with a couple of local shops for the replacement, as I don't own the proper scanner for setting it up properly.
Alright Pauly now fess up man. What was that yaw rate data looking like when you were giving it the old back seat bounce test along with a volunteer?? That's what really matters. hahaha Seriously though nice job with the video, good thorough explanation on what the sensor should be doing. Nice fix pal!
Now now, what goes on behind the shop is classified Glen 🤣🤣🤣...dealers hide those specifications for brand integrity! Thanks man, just learning what good looks like and hopefully helping others do that as well brother!
Hello, i have the C0287-00 code the esp and abs lamps are off. I tried to move the car like you did and the vertical sensor don't read the movement. This could be also the iaw sensor or the abs ecu?
Im having this problem on my equinox according to my new Launch 919E scanner, now Im hoping if I get a new sensor/module if my scanner can relearn /reset it ,this electronic stuff is a pain, old days u were a motor mechanic & now u have to be a computer wiz on top of that

This was the best yaw rate sensor video I have found on youtube! Keep up the great work!
Thanks Rob, appreciate it man!

You are welcome. God bless you my friend and glad you found it helpful.
Thank you Pauly. Good job. Nice to have known good data. Have a blessed and safe week to you and your family.

Good idea I'm going to get the customer back so she can bounce up and down in the back seat! After I adjust the mirrors of course!😁👍
You guys are terrible😉😆😅

Only if you are certain that all essential electrical Sensor Inputs and outputs are present.
@@PaulysAuto Thanks 👍
Could this sensor cause a a short when turning? When I turn right while costing I lose CANBUS to ECM/ABS/Fuel Pump. VSS says 160mph at this time.
Think about that, do you have a communication wire running through your clockspring???
hi pls advise how to test yaw rate sensor like the way u explained for longitude and lateral acceleration sensor
@@sivucit You know that's a good question I should do that.
@@sivucit Maybe I should put together like something on a newer car
@@sivucit And deep dive it from year, make, and, model.
@@PaulysAuto Thanks so much.
Would a snapped spring make the yaw rate sensor go haywire
Now that is an interesting question...😉🤔
It would certainly throw off the calibration if it was done before the spring broke wouldn't you think?
You would think so I’m going to change the spring on my Rexton and see the results
Do you know whet the yaw rate sensor is on a 2009 Silverado LTZ?
Similar location as this, under the center counsel trim panel.

I know it can be quite frustrating; all we can do is adapt and overcome. Thanks for the awesome comment!
Hi do you know if an Ancel FX2000 scanner can do that.
I'm not sure, probably need to hook it up and see if you got the pids?
Where is the sensor located
