A Lange Sohnes are costly, but it's a not timepiece that tells you the time, but a timepiece that stops time, everytime you look at it. It's so fucking flawlessly beautiful.
Your videos are exquisite. Yes, they are informative. Yes, they are made at a high production level where each take, each zooming in and out are precisely and purposefully executed, and where even the items on the counter-and the texture and color of the counter itself-are all taken into consideration as artistic components that complement and balance the frame. But more important than all that-your videos are thought provoking. Thank you for the outstanding work you do.
I love the ambition of the script writer for this tiny RUclips channel. You pack as much of a punch as these watches. Thank you for entertaining my interests.
Those look like they're on the actual numbers and under the crystal. They change with the date change. For the price of this gorgeous watch I would expect better. I'd send it back to be cleaned. :)
Vianney Widoputranto, they are indeed incredible. And I am of the opinion that A. Lange has not only rivaled, but surpassed the Swiss “holy trinity” (disclaimer: I am not German). The one thing that the holy trinity has over Lange today is simply “longer” heritage... that is truly it. I genuinely believe A. Lange is more worthy to hold a spot in the holy trinity than AP is. The only reason AP is there is because of what it had done-it’s heritage. But what are they now? Two words: Royal Oak. Anyway, my two cents.
Andres Mendoza Lmao what Holy Trinity? JLC is the reason they are even considered, PP overinflates their auction prices and does other bad business practices, AP is just focusing on making bling watches for show-off, VC is forgivable but they don't have much instantly recognisable models
TBH, AP has Royal Oak, PP has their Nautilus and VC.... can't really think of any classic model coming from them. Despite a break in the history of Lange, they have produced amazing pieces that surpassed the Holy Trinity. and it's the truth. Without JLC movement, the Holy Trinity wouldn't exist.
The grail of grails, this watch got me interested in watches. Gorgeous inside and out. I was waiting to see WF's insane cinematography with the Dato Perpetual. Amazing, and a cool story as usual.
Im new to the watch world and while I have seen many watches I liked never have I seen one I loved like this. Im waiting on a Explorer ii I know I will enjoy it but I will always stair at it and think of this watch shear perfection.
Enjoy your Exp II, it is a great watch. Few are lucky to get such watches, I admire them as works of art. Never gonna own a piece by Monet but I can admire his work and maybe will see some of his pieces in person - same with A. Lange & Söhne.
The Datograph Perpetual and the Datograph Perpetual Tourbillon are two of my favorite watches. I lost track of the number of times I’ve seen this vid. Nice work!
Absolute perfection. The final grail! The finishing is just out of this world. It's an ultra high end piece but packed in a wearable size and presentation. And that's imho the true achievement in high end watch making!
Awesome watch and as usual great and interesting video. One thing though; I swear I see an imperfection on the dial a little bit past the indice at 2. I can see it at 1:57 and 3:36??
I held off watching this until I had an uninterrupted moment to enjoy it. Extremely glad I did. Anticipation heightens all your senses. Fantastic work on all aspects and an utterly beautiful watch.
feastures You don’t wear a watch????? Dude.....get. a. life! Watches are fantastic and a great way to start conversations and meet people! Dive in! But don’t buy a fucking Seiko....find something more interesting!
The Terrible Puddle Oh come now, being a poor student is a lame excuse for not wearing a watch. Anyone can save $300-$400 and get into the vintage watch scene. For that money you could buy a 1960’s Omega, Girard Perregaux or Tudor and have a piece of hand crafted Swiss history on your wrist. That’s something special and so much better than some piece of bling crap from Michael Kors, Hugo Boss, Armani etc...Chinese rubbish!
The Terrible Puddle Well what do you like? Plain dress watch, diver, alarm or chronograph complication? There’s something for everyone if you take a good look around. Check out Chrono24’s website, they have thousands of watches to while away the hours studying....
Doug M Im an average french student and I agree with you, for 300€ i bought a gorgeous 1969 Omega Geneve. But belittle seikos isn't fair. They brought many innovations to watchmaking and furthermore they are a great way to get into mechanical watches from 70$ with Seiko 5s but also for 500€ you can get all the cocktail time series. For example the SARY082 is stunning for its price.
Seikos are a great brand for a first watch - they are built well, look good and are collected by rich and poor alike! There is always room for a few Seikos in a man's collection. They have many very interesting watches, both now and historically. Look at the Bell-Matics from the 70s - cool watches! Cheap as chips to buy if you find one in nice condition, cool first watch!
The computer of a renault clio has more capacity than all the computers in APOLO 11, can a clio be able to go to the moon, land and return to the planet earth again? Sorry, the renault clio computer has the ability to make an apollo 11 leave the planet earth, land on the moon and return ... NOR with the current technology it is possible to go to the moon, land and return!
André Your computer argument is massively stupid. Just because something does one thing it does not equate into it not being able to do something different. Do you think that because some people use calculators to spell BOOBS that they cant also be used to solve complex math that enlightens the universe. Your phone has more computer power than the Renault Clio, do you also regularly bitch about why you cant drive your phone?
Only the idiots and the illiterate believe in the lie filmed in the desert of Nevada! No camera in 1969 would be able to withstand the high temperatures during the day, and the low night temperatures on the moon! And, the Moon never had wind! Any intelligent being, agrees that even in 2018 it is impossible to leave the earth, land on the Moon and return to planet earth! But, we discovered the American !!
Rarely does such a fine timepiece have a reviewer and production worthy of its construction, but this is a rare channel, which does justice to these incredible instruments.
When I grow up, I'll one day be able to write such a script, such a story and match it with a beautiful timepiece like this and the others featured weekly. This has to be the only channel where I click on the link in the description without prompting.
I am in the market for a datograph but now this watch has made me think to step up to the perpetual, probably a more sensible purchase in the long term , I believe the day will come when A LANG get the hype of patek , and boom 💥 you can’t get one
Your videos Sir are like time machine! You took us inside those stories while describing those amazing watches! We never get bored! You sir needs to teach us more of your amazing reviews
What's with the crap on the dial near the 11.5 minute mark at 1:56? Or the junk on the date wheel at 4:19? Or the bad heat marks at 2:31? Yeah... I'm nitpicking. But it costs as much as a house.
Excellent video as always. Detailed filmed and described to the prefection, cant get better. I would like to see closeup of Breitling Montbrillant Datora (black or white). I am in love with that watch :)
I always wonder with these "super duper calendar never set again until 2100" watches... Don't they need regular servicing? It throws the "never set again" perk out the window. Amazing piece of machinery to look at though.
I think you misunderstand the purpose of the perpetual calendar then. Service intervals are going to be 5 years +. On a standard calendar watch, every month with less than 31 days the calendar needs adjusting. On leap years you need to remember the extra day in February and adjust. So you can buy the watch wind and wear it every day and have to do nothing with the date mechanism for the next 4 years. Now, I don't have a perpetual calendar watch in my collection and adjusting the date is no big deal but the perpetual calendar is as much there to show off the watch maker's skill as anything. The fact they can build such a thing is enough on its own in my opinion. That's what the real point of it is with the nice side effect of it being at least somewhat practical too. Design, beauty and practicality add together to something greater than the sum of its parts, to me anyway.
I know that the question has been asked before, but what brand is that pen in the top right-hand corner? Was that question answered anytime before? Please fellow pen enthusiasts, help me
"At some point in my life, that one point, at wich i can be proud of myself because I achieved something big, I will reward myself with one beautiful timepice" That was a thought of myself from about 3 years ago and I am very sure what this one timepiece will be.

Check out 1:44. Yes, I understand the engineering genius behind the Datograph. I humbly defer to the master, Philippe Dufour, and his thoughts about A.Lange & Sohne... but again, look at the dial at 1:44. The eye immediately targets the date window and it's almost impossible to pull your eye away from it. The date window and the numbers are too large. The first function of any watch should be to tell time and your eye must be primarily pulled towards the hour and second hands followed by the hour markers. Every other added complication is secondary. With A. Lange & Sohne the principal indicator is the day of month. The A. Lange & Sohne Datograph is an engineering masterpiece but it is not quite yet an artistic one.

Well said!
I believe its even more impressive than the Pateks itself. 🤔
Except for that speck on the dial near two o’clock.
@@kailen98 and the 2 stripes at 6 o'clock not being perfecly placed
You guys have good eyes
I used to come here to watch the watches, now I come here te hear the stories
Who ever the host is, he is doing a fantastic job.
The writing is incredible. Spectacular.
I agree. He tells it like every watch has its own story.
+Tony Hill, Loool, I thought the voice was familiar. It does sound like a younger more serious Alan Davies for real.
XD same always reminded me of him too, but yes too young and maybe too well spoken, to be the lovely mr davies ;)
This channel proves that combing an interesting story, with a fantastic voice over and an amazing watch; could make your day much better

The macro shoots in your videos along with the story telling make this channel one of the best horology channels on RUclips!
1:55 oh man that spec of dust near the 2 o'clock is killing me... ARG
Now you've seen it. Now you can't unsee it!!!
I hate you............
Why do you ve to ruin it for all of now. Now it cannot be unseen very time I see.
Or the specs in the date window at around 4:19-4:21
Those look like they're on the actual numbers and under the crystal. They change with the date change. For the price of this gorgeous watch I would expect better. I'd send it back to be cleaned. :)
A German brand that rivals a Swiss brand, this is simply a watch lover's dream
Vianney Widoputranto Germans do everything to perfection, their watchmaking was just held behind because of USSR but they are catching up now
Vianney Widoputranto, they are indeed incredible. And I am of the opinion that A. Lange has not only rivaled, but surpassed the Swiss “holy trinity” (disclaimer: I am not German). JLC and AL & S make better watches than the trinity. Yes PP have wonderful style but these 2 brands offer the same or better for less.
TBH, AP has Royal Oak, PP has their Nautilus and VC.... can't really think of any classic model coming from them.
Despite a break in the history of Lange, they have produced amazing pieces that surpassed the Holy Trinity.

This Lange has to be one of the greatest timepieces ever made! Such a stunning and worthy piece!
The Datograph Perpetual and the Datograph Perpetual Tourbillon are two of my favorite watches. I lost track of the number of times I’ve seen this vid. Nice work!
One day collector's will realize what incredible buys Lange's once were, simply a work of art. Thanks for your great show, as always.
Without doubt my favourite watch channel. Just perfect! Thanks :) Wonderful narrative!
Some of the absolute best videos on youtube, that this content is available on this platform for free is incredible.
Amazing watch. But look at 2:00 there is dust on the dial at 2 12 approx. Not good enough when paying such a high price for a watch.
Absolute perfection. The final grail! The finishing is just out of this world. It's an ultra high end piece but packed in a wearable size and presentation. And that's imho the true achievement in high end watch making!
Man, that watch is just beautiful! I'm going to divorce my wife to marry that movement.
LOL...
Its all fair because most wives want to marry a luxury bag. Lol
The women in your dp won't be happy to see this comment.😅
Sarjith Poojari That's why I'm getting a divorce, she just doesn't understand my love.
I oin't care. I getting a divorce anyway! :)
Awesome watch and as usual great and interesting video. One thing though; I swear I see an imperfection on the dial a little bit past the indice at 2. I can see it at 1:57 and 3:36??

I enjoyed this video while wearing my Casio GD 350.
Even the Russians didn't deny that NASA landed on the moon.
I'm sure Neil or Buzz left some stuff up there that only they could know.

I nearly cried watching this video, simply the most beautiful timepiece I've ever seen.
Love my Lange 1815. Just pure class in design and simplicity.
Rarely does such a fine timepiece have a reviewer and production worthy of its construction, but this is a rare channel, which does justice to these incredible instruments.
Great great content. Video is next level
Thank you
The time piece is a work of art through and through
Love your videos! This is the holy grail watch, the finest timepiece ever made.
The Watchfinder & Co. first presented me the A Lange & Sohne watches and now it is my favorite brand! I want Their watch so bad, masterpeace!
Wow - you've done it again! The constant top tier quality of these videos is insane. Bravo!!!
Why is there a speck of junk in the disk between 2 and 3 on a $100,000 watch?
I paused at 1:39 an stood there in wonder for minutes😳
The holly trinity should be PP, A. Lange and VC
SpaghettiKillah I could stare at the movement for hours. Absolutely amazing craftsmanship.
Nah, JLC should be with the top
PP, Lange and Journe
Thank you so much for that freeze frame, it's absolutely stunning. True art and crafmanship at its finest
Kristian Engen Agreed completely... considering a huge number of PP and VC watches wouldn't exist without JLC babysitting them.
The music's combined with the narrator is amazing!
The best finish of any video on RUclips
My bedtime storytelling.Love this channel.
That the single most beautiful piece I have ever seen in my opinion. LOVE your channel. Love the stories. Not another watch channel comes close.
Tim Mosso and this guy are absolutely the best Watch Reviewers out there.
i believe this is the most beautiful watch.
When I grow up, I'll one day be able to write such a script, such a story and match it with a beautiful timepiece like this and the others featured weekly. This has to be the only channel where I click on the link in the description without prompting.
Humans can achieve so much if we channel our energy properly. What a masterpiece.
That watch is amazing. Your videos are great. Keep up the good work.
I am in the market for a datograph but now this watch has made me think to step up to the perpetual, probably a more sensible purchase in the long term , I believe the day will come when A LANG get the hype of patek , and boom 💥 you can’t get one
A Lange & Sohne make the best second hand going just another part of taking care about every detail
Great Channel. Please keep making these wonderful videos. ❤
You are blessed to touch such beautiful piece of art.
I remember when this channel only had 50k subscribers...time went by so fast, keep the good work up, well deserved success👍🏻
the date seems tilted to the right a bit
1:58 That speck of dust at 2 o clock :D
under
Lange is the one and only watch brand that keeps Patek up at night. Reality
The misaligned bars of the six o'clock mark... 2:05
Didn't expect that for a 100k watch, especially ALS. Shame...
"Pursuit of Perfection" - LEXUS
my fav watch and watchmaker right now. really underappreciated tbh.
Is it just me or is the 6 o clock markers misaligned? and is that dirt on the dial at 12-13 mins over ish?
And you can own one for only $144,250.00 US. Worth every penny.
Your videos Sir are like time machine! You took us inside those stories while describing those amazing watches! We never get bored! You sir needs to teach us more of your amazing reviews
Alange is art, the back is soooooo beautiful, it'd be amazing if they allow the watch to flip so we can just look at the movement on the wrist.
I am totally sold out.
What a watch.
What a watch.
What a watch.
I can think of just one word to describe this masterpiece 'incredible'
You can't get close enough with a microscope to find a flaw in this watch.
X V 🤔🤔...... I stand corrected.
2.33 poor finishing/heat treating of Glashutte stripes.
Bingo
Well spotted.Eagle eyes...
That dirty date wheel at 4:19 urghhh
Over 500 parts. Holy smokes. Imagine being a technician servicing this thing. Oh dear.
I have to bend the knee to A. Lange & Söhne . I love PP , I admire Rolex. but A. Lange & Söhne is just something else
I used to see the Saturn V outside of Johnson Space Center. It was enormous and awe inspiring
Whoever wears this watch has made it in life! Great video as usual!
What's with the crap on the dial near the 11.5 minute mark at 1:56? Or the junk on the date wheel at 4:19? Or the bad heat marks at 2:31? Yeah... I'm nitpicking. But it costs as much as a house.
Your videos are incredible
Excellent video as always. Detailed filmed and described to the prefection, cant get better. I would like to see closeup of Breitling Montbrillant Datora (black or white). I am in love with that watch :)
Best review channel ever hands down
The ultimate timepiece, ever, period.
I always wonder with these "super duper calendar never set again until 2100" watches... Don't they need regular servicing? It throws the "never set again" perk out the window. Amazing piece of machinery to look at though.
Not many people know that the amazing Lange & Söhne technicians are able to service the watch while it is running.
I think you misunderstand the purpose of the perpetual calendar then. Service intervals are going to be 5 years +. On a standard calendar watch, every month with less than 31 days the calendar needs adjusting. On leap years you need to remember the extra day in February and adjust. I was never into watches until very recently. I can’t afford any of these but they’re truly beautiful.
Just amazing and it's crazy and scary what human mind can achieve and build in such a tiny space! Simply I call it PERFECTION
Nice watch, but the misalignment of the paired 12 and 6 o'clock markers are a serious error on a watch of that quality.
Nice to see it for the fourth time. Nice review as always!
I know that the question has been asked before, but what brand is that pen in the top right-hand corner? Was that question answered anytime before? Please fellow pen enthusiasts, help me
One of the best video's so far!
"At some point in my life, that one point, at wich i can be proud of myself because I achieved something big, I will reward myself with one beautiful timepice"
That was a thought of myself from about 3 years ago and I am very sure what this one timepiece will be.
His stories are so good!
Superb storytelling! AMAZING timepiece! Such an incredible masterpiece... S2.
Mess
Wow stellar!
My favorite channel.
Nicely explain I really admire how you express each sentence to elaborate all the watch brand... thank you again
Awesome quality video !

Beautiful watch and review. I ended up checking up those beautiful Sornes clocks
I can agree about standing near the rockets. I work at cape canaveral Air Force base station and occasionally at nasa. It is truly amazing to watch rocket launches in my back yard. Great video btw
some of the achievements of humans are astonishing... this is one of them
I've been watching this channel for a while now. The one thing missing are pocket watches. I would love to see an Illinois Bunn Special reviewed.
2:34 what is that discoloration on the cote de geneve beside the black polished cap?
My Lord..... That case back, could look at that for hours
This is the definition of haute horology, not even a PP compares to an A Lange & Sohne.
Beautiful watch, beautiful video, beautiful channel.
The most beautiful watch I've ever seen. How did I not know about this model...
Holy crap, that spec of dust around the 12 minute mark inside the watch would kill me if I bought it.
Check out 1:44. Yes, I understand the engineering genius behind the Datograph. I humbly defer to the master, Philippe Dufour, and his thoughts about A.Lange & Sohne... but again, look at the dial at 1:44. Another great video.......thanks!
Brilliant video on an absolutely astonishing watch, one can dream...
Please review datograph turbillion as well. I plan to buy it if I like it.
Is it just me or are the double applied markers at 12 and 6 not completely level with each other?
is that some loose metal lose at the 11-12minute marker? u can see the seconds marker going over it, thats inside the case
This watch is so gorgeous. Such minute details. Beauty.
