where's the throuple trope
oh a full breakdown is coming in the next video ;)
@@imuRgency yessssss
lol it’s finna be that gopiss girl throuple~
@@imuRgency I love how you put the friends to lovers trope infront of enid and wednesday 🤣 they aren't beating aligations ig
What about this one: the smart, sensitive, all round nice and atractive character dating a douchebag but actually in love with a much likable character. It's kinda like a love triangle but extra exasperating.
Love triangle hater nation RISE UP‼️‼️🗣🗣
YESS!!!
No frrrr
YES!!
@Kristian Alexis for real! Now it’s just like a line, a love triangle is a TRANGLE, person A loves person B, but person B loves C, BUT person C loves person A. A real triangle. Now it’s just one person like someone who’s In love with someone else 😭
THANK YOU
My personal favorite trope is “the one who is overly flirtatious and the one who pretends to hate it but is secretly blushing”
The “I’m being controlled and I’ve been ordered to kill you” “but I love you and you love me but do it anyway but not really” “you’ve broken the spell, I love you” is a fine one as well
@@modestoctopus14 very specific lol
Please, I NEEEEEED examples; books, series, movies, etc
miraculous?
YES OMGGGGGGGG
One trope that I genuinely can not stand is Teacher/Student relationship one. It’s always the student that gets blamed for it even happening.
To go into depth, if a man is a legit grown ass and the girl is literally high school aged, the girl is always being disciplined for it by her parents. Instead of it being the girl’s parents talking about it to the teacher and them being mad that person for actually committing an actual crime. Also, you are glowing. The fit + hair looks awesome on you.
@@KristianalexisThanks for your comment.
Disgusting!!!!! That one needs to bypass the dungeon and go straight to burning in hell.
The only thing that did this right was generation, but it’s sort of deconstruction of the trope (they were never together and the teacher ends up completely rejecting chester when he finds out that chester has feelings for him)
I honestly hate that this is even a trope in the first place for so many reasons
thisssss !! and ty 🫶🏾
I feel like Eric from Sex Education is a good example of the black/gay best friend trope that gives him his own storyline and character development outside of Otis and the other white characters.
The first season of the show was about subverting many of the classic tropes. Erick is an amazing example of how NOT to be that trope. It has the classic element of a self involved white CIS bff, but we got to see what that OTHER side of the trope looks like with Erick and it was [chef’s kiss]
yes and eric also actively mentioned feeling side lined with otis' whole maeve situationship (tho i wasn't too happy with otis' reaction but not surprising since it's otis)
absolutely love that show to bits i love how it gave every side character their own fully developed storyline and might i add adam was my fav character in the whole show,, truly one of those shows where u grow a bond with the characters and they feel like ur bestfriends. cant wait for season 4.
Miscommunication is my enemy I’ll drop something so quick if they add it in 😂
they LOVE miscommunication
There's this book called kiss her once for me where the characters DO have open communication but the drama is still messy as fUck
GOD YES? FINALLY SOMEONE SAYS IT!!!!! I've watched a 60 episode long c drama where it was so obvious they used that trop cause they didn't have enough plot to fill so much episodes.... It was so fucking annoying, plots that could've been resolved in 5 minutes took up whole 5 episodes to resolve and that *multiple* times.
I hate it.
I have ONE exception and it's a demon/human ship where there's a huge culture gap and the miscommunication just makes sense and is actually kinda funny. Other than that? HUGE red flag
Same
Found Families, that trope will get me every time! Give me a group of distrusting misfits who have to reluctantly come together and slowly become best friends... I'm telling you: Every. Single.Time.
YESSS (i just read six of crows)
Yes I love this! What shows do yk like this?
@@miriann.1699 The Legend of Vox Machina, Avatar the last Airbender, The Owl House, Legend of Korra (but they suck at this) and Amphibia
You're right, it's excellence. Every. Time.
@@miriann.1699 Agents of Shield is my fave found family show!
I think friends to lovers is done best when it's not heteronormative. It's so clear when a friends to lovers trope is actually written well and when it's a man and woman who they just threw together cause they happened to be standing right next to each other and were friends.
Omg yes
Yeah no I get what you mean cause there isn’t that much character who are a woman and a man who are friends so when you do put them together it’s very eyebrows raise or side eye like what are you doing
Exactly!
yess
"Enemies to lovers" is also a lot more fun when it's not heteronormative.
I feel you on friends to lovers. Sometimes, I just want men and women/boys and girls to stay platonic. Like opposite sex friends never get to stay friends even in kids media.
That's why i really like marshall abd robin from himym because they stayed platonic throughout the whole seasons
YESSSS that is literelly where "friendzone" comes from. From little boys and little girls being told from a very early age that they can't have friends from the opposite sex cause it's bound to get romantic. Like I'm talking about whole parents shipping their own 4-year-olds with a random fucking child JUST because they were playing in the sand together. Like bffr.
"Friendzone" doesn't exist. You're the one who's romanticzoning, Brandon.
@@lilydrimm6626thiss also, those parents shipping their 4 year old kids of the opposite sex are the same type of parents to complain that modern cartoons and animated movies is “ is putting the children gay” or “sexualizing pre-teens and children”because it had LGBTQ+ characters in it.
Either that or saying condescending shit like “you’re too young to know that” or “ what you’re going through the phase you will grow out of it “ but maybe even was abusing them, or kicking their TEENAGE/CHILD out of real life, resulting in them being homeless or killed, because they came out as queer
15:15 I hate love triangles because it’s never a Triangle, it’s more of a “V” with a bolded , straight line to one guy and a faded, dotted line to the other. Like you clearly know who’s going to be endgame. The other guy is usually used a rebound/placeholder if the main guy/girl broke up with the main character or left. It’s so disingenuous because the new guy really likes/loves MC but MC is not fully invested😞. Classic example of this is in Twilight.
Ok but Bella and Edward deserve each other🌚 Bella and Jacob was a weird couple imo
Yes! It is ALWAYS obvious who will get chosen; it’s never the slightest bit ambiguous
It feels like whenever there's a love triangle "V" that if the writer(s) were able to produce two likable love interests, that the one not chosen would be given a character assassinating storyline to try to show why the chosen character makes the most sense. I always found that to be an unnecessary technique for the triangle trope because it destroys a character that was once cared for, usually in such a lazy and disjointed way that makes it wildly out of character for certain choices to be made for the sake of the plot.
@@wedontevenmakelovenomore It was very obvious in the movies but I do believe that Bella did love Jacob to some extent in the books. I remember a passage in the books where Bella was imagining a future with Jake up, and he did look happy together. I think that the main reason that Bella ended up with Edward is because she was enticed by the lifestyle of vampires and immortality. She was not able to get that with Jacob. Bella Swan had a fear of growing old.
@@trinityshadows5271 YESS!!!! I absolutely hate that so much. The examples I have in my head is in the Vampire Diaries when Stephen went through his Ripper phase again and was wilding out. So naturally, it made Damon look more favorably. (Side note: I wanted Damon and Bonnie to be a thing but Plec and her racist ass wasn’t having that). Another example of this is what happened in THG: Mockingjay with Katniss/Gale/Peeta, smh.
for the "black cat + golden retriever" trope Aimee and Maeve from Sex Education popped into my head, I love their friendship so much! And I get that the "femme fatale" trope is well liked, I also find Georgia Miller's storyline very interesting, but I think we have to be careful not to romanticise or excuse the actions of these characters because they're hot and charismatic lol
I agree, I actually enjoy the "Bad Boy/Good Girl pairing, but it needs to be handled well. I hate the implications that a Bad Boy can only be redeemed by the love of a good woman. 🙄
cough cough after...
The worst thing is when the girl is meant to “fix” the bad boy and teach him how to be good, as if that’s her job and as if she doesn’t deserve a genuinely good partner from the beginning. Or maybe the worst is when the bad boy is just straight up an abusive asshole (often abusive to everyone other than the good girl which doesn’t make it okay)
Grease. Grease is the WORST example of this.
@@one-onessadhalf3393 also the worst example of “good girl gone bad” because she does it entirely to be with him and just ugh it’s the worst
The reverse of that (bad girl/good boy) runs into the same issue of the woman can only be saved by a good man
Idk why but I love the "main character loses everything" trope when its done right. Whether they failed to save something or they disconnect with the friends, family, literally everything. Whether is their fault or not. Especially when it leads up to that point and you can gradually see the reasons why. It's also interesting to see how they grow from that point
It sounds like I want them to be miserable. And I do ❤
Yesss! Like Peter Parker
Kendall Roy lol
Rango! Rango does this! And it’s good!
That sounds like Do Revenge a little
the last line made me giggle
I'm in love with the Golden retriever and black cat trope but I feel like it can be done badly and don't get me started on the good girl turns bad trope! I feel like as soon as they turn into a bad girl their like "I'm not like other girls" like no😭😭
Also love the hair!!!!
Shows or movies?👀
@@jadaharrell8189 I guess it can be both 😊 thanks for asking
@@Juliette12368 what shows have you watched with that trope?
@@jadaharrell8189 ginny sort of represented this trope in season one and a bit in season 2. And in Gossip Girl with Jenny she sort of represented this trope when she became the it girl but was mean to Eric. I also saw this in Heartbreak High with Harper. Although she did have a reason to Rebelle. Those are some examples hope this helped 😊
@@Juliette12368 thank you 🤍
One of my favourite tropes is the “enemies to friends” trope, especially between two women. I love seeing two female characters who are initially pitted against each other (often because of a man) eventually bound and become close friends. Petra and Jane from Jane the Virgin as well as Valencia and Rebecca from Crazy Ex-Girlfriend are two great examples of this.
Oh yesssss there's that feeling of feminist pride for me... Like hell yeah!! Make your relationship stop revolving around a man, let's fucking goooo!
I think new girl did a great job with “friends to lovers” for Jess and Nick’s story line. Like we get to see why they’re friends, the relationship develop and go through different stages, and it’s a slow build to them getting together at the end.
I feel like a love triangle could be interesting if done in a way where you actually don’t know who the main character is going to choose. Most of the time it’s pretty clear who they’re ending up with. Literally one relationship will have all this chemistry and the other one is so underdeveloped, and they expect us to be on the edge of our seats in anticipation lmao
When its gay it's much better
Also usually they pick the toxic one or both are unlikable
good love triangles have to have one gay person tho
i mean they always pick the white unstable bad boy lol
this always happens
The second male/female lover interest tho 😭
If it's done well friends to lovers is my fav. But it has to be mutual pining and they can't childhood friends for me either.
In Enemies to Lovers 9/10 times the two characters either arent really enemies or its just abuse... i love it when its good though
Love triangles are usually done so lazily
my absolutely favorite trope is "friends to lovers", love to see characters who knew each other before they decided to move to a new stage of relationships.
nothing will ever beat the enemies to lovers trope
I will never get tired of you making yourself laugh at the start It always makes me smile haha
Friends to lovers I like when they both gradually transition from a friendship to a relationship, but when it's just one person waiting for the other to catch feelings it's boring.
I want some sexual tension, I want that changing dynamic and the uncertainty that comes with it because it is so fun to see.
I'm so surprised you put femme fatale at the top. It's awesome when it's done right, but when it isn't, it can be quite sexist. It can basically be an excuse to dress a lady super sexy and give her no personality because "she's mysterious" and the only person who can get through to her is the male character. My dad made me watch a lot of bad action movies with him as a kid, so maybe I just have some leftover cringe from seeing this trope done badly so many times lol
Honestly I can’t think of a single time I’ve seen the femme fatale trope done right! The women are always oversexualised and underdeveloped. But if anyone has suggestions for shows or movies where it’s done right then I’d love to hear!
@@alexschofield8085 I think the femme fatale can be really empowering, like a no bs kind of woman who can still be sexy. Villanelle in "Killing Eve", Jen and Judy of "Dead to me", "Jackie Brown" with Pam Grier, Audrey in "Twin Peaks", Sharon Stone in "Basic Instinct", Geena Davis in "The Long Kiss Goodnight", Rosamunde Pike in "Gone Girl", Megan Fox in Jennifer’s Body and all versions of Cat Woman in the Batman franchise.
@@elimo3901 I totally agree that it’s great when done right! In the moment I just couldn’t think of any times when it truly had been done right (my terrible memory and terrible recall abilities have let me down once again). Although I knew surely there must be examples so I’m grateful for your list!
fr the woman always ends her femme fatal ways when she meets a good man too, but it hits every time before the "good man" shows up
I'm a big fan of the black cat and the golden retriever trope because I love seeing the contrast in personality and aesthetic characters from opposite ends of the characters spectrum. i think what they did with both Enid and Wednesday was not let Wednesday walk all over Enid and there are scenes where Enid is standing up for herself, I'm glad the did that because most shows or movies with that trope have the golden retriever character be kinda Navïe.
I like friends to lovers most of the time but I also want to see characters who are attracted to each other be purely platonic. Normalize hetero men and women being friends. Normalize two gay men or two lesbians being JUST friends with each other. Not every relationship needs to have romantic undertones (or overtones).
For me I would have switched places for friends to lovers and good girl x bad boy. 9/10 times that trope is toxic af and the girl is always suffering because of the bad boy. Just my opinion.
Yeah I mean Hardin and Tessa is a good example. My girl Tessa should’ve left a long time ago lol.
i also hate love triangles but if someone made a polyamorous relationship plotline out of that then i would be the first to watch
the bastard son & the devil himself does this !!
Right now, i'm sad to announce that there isn't a lot of good polyam rep in tv.... There's of course tons of books so if you still like that, my fave is Iron Widow (it's a rewritting of chinese history but make it sci-fi/fantasy/mecha)
I'm thinking really hard but i can only think of sub plots (like in Sense 8 but even then it's not that present)
That’s not a a manic pixie dream girl. The point is that she DOESNT have development or depth. The best thing about Sex Education (season one in particular) is that they subverted many of the classic tropes (except Adam*). The manic pixie dream girl trope seems to be mis- or not fully understood. See Kristin Dunst in Elizabeth town, Natalie Portman in Garden State, or the mermaid chick from that old Tom Hanks film.
A similar, but maybe slightly more distributing, trope is the Born Sexy Yesterday trope. PopCulture Detective has a video on this. I think he is the first to coin that term. An example of this trope is the main character on The 5th Element. There can also be some overlap between the two tropes. For instance that mermaid in that Tom Hanks movie is both.
*There are two things so wrong with Adam’s character and story arch. The first the DL jock as stated in this video. The second is the enemy to lovers. My biggest issue with the second one is that one character is generally a bully to the other and then they suddenly date. And after dating the person never really changes or atones for their past behavior. I feel like the trope subtly normalizes toxic/abusive traits in a partner. It just makes me sick to watch. A perfect example of how horrible this trope is are the two chicks from The Wild on Amazon Prime. The one girl HATED the blonde chick for no apparent reason and never missed an opportunity to belittle, insult, and ridicule her. Then all of a sudden they hummpin’ in the wood?! WTF? It’s a dumb, lazy, and dangerous trope.
Rant over. Lol
Absolutely! People seem to think that any quirky girl who stands across from a bland guy is a manic pixie dream girl? But the most important part of the trope is that she is entirely two dimensional and her sole purpose is to serve the male character (typically by teaching him how to have fun and be less bland) and once her purpose is fulfilled she is thrown to the side.
And yes! Pop culture Detective’s video on born sexy yesterday is such a good watch!
Totally! I didn't follow this as well in the presentation of the trope in the video. I also think Jessica, Natasha Lyonne's character in 'American Pie'. I remember watching it when it came out, yes older millennial here, and thinking she was such a cool character, but never had any real character development in the movie (like so many of the female characters). I'm glad Natasha Lyonne got her flowers later on with 'Orange is the new black', and 'Russian Doll'. I actually enjoyed 'Garden State', but can totally see your point.
@@elimo3901 I loved season one of Russian Doll! I remember watching American Pie back in they says of Blockbuster, but I only really remember the pie scene…unfortunately.
@@alexschofield8085 I don’t know why this comment made me think of the film version of Genny Wisely. Like what is it called then the main girl is completely one dimensional without a drop of personality and does nothing to serve the male lead or move the plot in away? Lol. I think it was your use of the word “bland”. Normally, in a hero’s journey we get characters like home girl from Deadpool 1. That girl worth fighting for or a love to avenge. But with Genny, the scenes with just her and Harry, after Chamber, could have been edited out and the story would barely change (only the Room of Requirement in 6 when they hid the book). That pisses me off in different, but similar way to the MPD trope. And even if they followed the books more closely she good have at least fallen under the “Cool Girl” trope. Why is it so hard to write a normal ass female? They are either a fantasy or plain yogurt at room temperature. **Sigh**
I hate the love triangles where the main interest doesn't put the kibosh on the character they're not really interested in, like don't be a d!CK and go breaking hearts because your indecisive and don't know what you want!
the sun/moon trope and black cat/golden retriever trope are actually two separate tropes (although they often have the same characters)!
sun/moon trope originated in queer cartoon fandoms where the sun character was often more heroic, charismatic and well-liked or just generally more outspoken and extroverted (think ruby from steven universe, adora from she-ra, luz from the owl house, korra from tlok, etc.). the moon character was often more calm and introverted and typically had some kind of tragic backstory, villainous streak and/or redemption arc (think sapphire from steven universe, catra from she-ra, amity from the owl house, asami from tlok, etc.). it's essentially an evolution of the red/blue gays trope.
on the other end, the black cat/golden retriever trope is more of an evolution of the grumpy/sunshine trope that developed from adult straight romance novels. typically, the men were grumpy, jaded and reclusive and saved by these kind, bubbly and optimistic women in this trope, but it's changed a lot in recent years. it's honestly taken over most romance-adjacent genres and tv/movie content since it can be used so widely.
i think recently these two tropes are pretty similar and honestly the lines between them have gotten really blurred. sun/moon isn't just for queer couples just as grumpy/sunshine isn't just for straight couples so it's kinda interesting to see how we see these tropes now (especially since they're adapting SO FAST).
[sorry for this being so long i love media analysis]
YESSS RUMI! I'm loving the hair and this new era is leaving no crumbssss!!!!
i don't stand with a gay friend without real character development, but Titus andromdodon makes the entire show and is as much developed then Kimberly in the seasons!! I absolutely love his character
Yesss
?
@@yasmineguerin2852 ??
IM SO EXCITED FOR THIS. The hair is givinggg 💖💖
the Mindy Kailing trope yeees!!! i just realize even in Sex Lives of College girls is soooo obvious
As well as in Never have i ever, The mindy project and Velma.
One troupe that I have mixed feelings troupe is the rebound trope. Essentially it’s when the main character’s love interest did something wrong or the main character did something wrong so they split up so a throw away character comes in to give the mc a different experience.
I mean sometimes it’s done right, like young royals, (I love that show) but most of the time it’s just done wrong just for the mc and love interest to get back together in the next season. 🤷🏼♀️
A good enemies to lovers is gonna eat every timeee
i don’t know what the nick and jess (new girl) and jake and amy (Brooklyn 99) trope is, but I LOVE IT
Friends to lovers
My issue with the loss of innocence trope is that they show the characters emphasizing their first time should be special and with someone they love for like most of the show, and how they love their partner and want it to be so special, but then they lose it to someone else for no special reason. I’m showing my age here (35), but I’m thinking of Brianna in One-on-One, and Blair in Gossip Girl. I’m not saying that losing your v-card to someone not special or special is the issue, it’s just that going from it must be special to it not being special without any reflection on the decision is the problem in the execution of the trope.
Loss of innocence can be really good when it's used in genres like horror, psychological horror, etc. you have a character that is innocent and happy and loves life, then something tragic occurs (a family death, a zombie apocalypse...) and seeing those good aspects of their personality crumble can be so fascinating. I also do think it works well when discussing SA or r*pe in a show as well. It shows someone who had trust in others around them, and then after that traumatic incident, they lose all trust in those around them.
I think it's interesting but i usually don't like it because it makes me sad to see people losing the best and brightest parts of themselves to traumatic incidents😓
@@delicatedream_z4105 I do agree it is really sad, however I find it sort of cathartic, especially when I can relate to the character!
The bigger issue I have is how easily most tropes can be overused and terribly done. When it’s done right, I find it hard to dislike, it’s just pretty rare
My favourite trope is probably forbidden love (but done right), with my favourite example so far being Juliette and Calliope in First Kill. Bonus points for sapphic romance 🙌🏻
I love your hair Rumi✨💞
thank u
I hate love “triangles” because they usually do it the couple who just got together and we all love the couple and then they immediately add a third person while we just wanna see the couple happy😅
I like enemies to lovers, but not really a fan of the bullying to lovers🥴
Plus also absolutely hate black best friend trope (or fat friend or gay friend trope) - give the diverse characters a story👏🏻 or better - just make them the main character👏🏻
The super loveable and charismatic father figure/mentor dying trope...... you see it coming from the moment the character is introduced yet still gets me everyyyytime
I’m excited for this video bestie ❤️❤️! Loving the new hairstyle :)
I wish you called the love triangle trope a love corner cause thats what it really is. A real love triangle is much more interesting
I agree so much on the ‘friends to lovers’ trope. Like most of the time I find it so boring or irritating and overdone. I think one of the only times I genuinely enjoyed the ‘friends to lovers’ trope was in Love, Rosie. I can’t even pinpoint exactly what was done differently to make Love, Rosie stand out above the others but I absolutely love that movie.
This video is just what I needed today!!! 💗
The hair and the sweater are impeccable
To tack onto the love triangle, I don’t like it when it’s a forced love triangle especially when the couple is already established and the “potential love interest” (usually a POC) is there to drive the plot. This usually happens in a movie sequel or a couple of seasons after
loving the hair & the video!!
I’m surprised the slow burn never came up. I mean, it was good the first few times I watched it play out, but now I’m just a little tired, because it means I can’t get connected to any other love interests the characters have, because I know they are gonna end up with the other person anyway.
yayy new upload, you look amazing love
oh my, when i saw the video upload i just started grinning so dang hard 💙 love your videos Rumi
When you said trauma baby troupe I instantly thought of the Gallagher’s 😂😂😂😂
loooove the hair 😍😍
i love a good enemies/polar opposites to lovers trope, like dan and blair from gossip girl, so unexpected but so good
AHHH SEX ED!!! absolutely love that show to bits i love how it gave every side character their own fully developed storyline and might i add adam was my fav character in the whole show,, truly one of those shows where u grow a bond with the characters and they feel like ur bestfriends. cant wait for season 4.
++ if anyone has a show with a similar feel PLEASEEE recommend
before i start the video i need to say I love your hair!! Its so cute
New subscriber I’ve been bing watching your videos ❤️
i could listen to you talk for hours
what i believe is the only exception to the dl jock trope is adam. adam turned out to be one of my favorite characters because i believed that they developed his character in a great way. it’s a trope that i think most of the time would represent a toxic relationship, but i like how it shows adam learning to be okay with who he is and figuring it out in the process. he became a better person in the end
RUMI WE LOVE YOU THX FOR THE GREAT CONTENT
love the hair...fr king 👑💖
this is the first video im watching and yout laugh its so good put it on spotify and i'll be listening
AAAAAAAAA!!!!! YOUR HAIR IS SO CUTE!!!!
i’ve never clicked a notification so fast 🙏🏾
& love u for it
No cause the twist are twisting✨
Also I specifically hate that trope where the girl is in love with like their friend who has a brother and the two brothers like the same girl and then they end up fighting over her and all that stuff and their choose the one brother and then the siblings relationship is ruined which I absolutely hate even with like best friends as well I just hate the fact that their good relationship always gets ruined just because of someone their both like it's like their friendship didn't even mean anything 😕
I'm new here but loving the video and your hair! keep slaying

My favourite friends to lovers or was or enemies? Was Sam and Freddie from iCarly because who ever saw that coming????
I love the hair so much
Can we talk about the get back together ex troupe. I'm sorry but when they grow while apart and build a really healthy and loving relationship its really gonna do it for me. Its like in firefly lane with Kate and Johnny
friends to lovers ehhhh... it’s cool or whatever but a real good enemies to lovers got hit everytimeeee but i wanna get a childhood friends to frienimes to enimes to lovers 😭🤣
YES
So Adora and Catra? Lol
come through with the new hairstyle 😍😍
Don't forget the fake dating trope. Looks like it's getting used more now

the pigtails are so cute!
Recently heard "Manic Pixie Dream Girl" described as "Undiagnosed Autistic/ADHD girl" and it made way more sense to me.
GGxBB made me think of Betty and Jughead first
Tbh i don't think you can consider Clementine from Eternal Sunshine an actual manic pixie. Both her and Joel have character development and not just for the sake of the man, quite the opposite of Ramona lol
hair is giving lewis hamilton singapore 2019 (and that is the highest compliment)
The highest compliment, indeed. Lewis was beyond fine that year. I looked it up and*whew*. I'm a racing fan now and a stan of Lewis Hamilton.
Complete agree about friends to lovers. Like well done its alright but most of the time its not and I'm tired.
Thoughts on the DL Jock trope (particularly on Adam from Sex Ed): I like Adam's character in Sex Ed, *and* I agree that the trope is problematic, even in the Sex Ed example
HAIR IS SO CUTE I CANTTTTT
The Stalker troupe hits every time.
Girly
Friends to lovers trope I think you were thinking of unrequited love best example is Gatsby but for a good ending someone look that up. Friends to lovers to me is like both are good friends then one realised that they like their friend and then the other does so then they both like each other and then get together. Or both friends didn't see it but then both realise they have chemistry like Kim and Ron or Nick and Jess from New Girl
I think this hairstyle is DOPE.
I hate all tropes unless they are done well because they are unoriginal. However the Black best friend and the funny fat girl friend can never be done well so I always hate them.
1 MINUTE?! OMGGG I’M EARLY 😍😍😍😍😍
Love triangles aggravate me so much!! It makes me despise the character in the middle. Why string two people along?? 😑
This is the first ranking I completely agree with lol
I feel one of the BEST executed friends to lovers trope is Jess and Nick from New Girl. WE NEED MORE LIKE THEM!
