The latter two got barely any screentime, while Cassie was villainised and refused to see why dating Nate behind Maddy's back was so wrong. Sydney Sweeney is very capable, but the writing really did her a disservice this season.
Agreed. I can kind of see why Kat got sidelined to make way for Lexi and Fez’s storylines (which were some of the best), but there’s no excuse for Jules at all. Now Cassie, I really wonder what they were going for with her character. I hope there’s a huge payoff in Season 3.
i think they’re going after the daddy issues/needing male validation while being a dumb teenager angle. i can see it, i just hate it had to be cassie because she was such a good character.
Fr there was so much they could have done with her character. It’s weird how her abortion story was never addressed nor was her passion for ice skating, her relationship with Lexi and her mom could have been explored more. And we already have such a complex dynamic between Jules, Nate and Maddie, Cassie did not need to be brought into it. They could have explored the idea of male validation through another character like Daniel or an entirely new character. And Cassie staunchly supporting Nate and choosing him makes no sense to me. In season 1 Cassie was not a committed person, if she felt unloved or dissatisfied she would seek another boy who could make her feel loved. Nate so obviously dislikes her, so why chase after that? A more in-character Cassie would have just left him because he wasn’t providing the validation she craves.

Even though she isn’t apart of the main cast, Lila is the queen and that’s on period. For the rest of TSLOCG cast: Bela: I wouldn’t even put her in jail, she needs therapy. Whitney: She needs character development ☹️. I hate that her storyline didn’t progress this season and it remained flat. Kimberly: she comes off a iffy to me. She really “broke up” with Jackson to be with Canaan when Whitney still had feelings for him. What if Kimberly and Whitney’s situation will be similar to Cassie and Maddie off Euphoria? Leighton: Proud of her. Had the best story arc out of the four. Her and Tatum should have remained friends and not a couple. Leighton + Alicia are IT and I’m not sorry.

I think a lot of characters on this list are also victims of bad/rushed writing. I mean there's a reason almost every Gossip Girl reboot character is in the nonexistent category. As for Ginny and Georgia, the show's mistake was that they didn't show how Georgia's actions impacted Ginny. Ginny kept saying how Georgia was selfish, but the show didn't take the time to flesh out how those actions directly impacted her, so Ginny came off as super mean for no reason.
Idk if it was for no reason. Like they show that she figured out her mother is a murderer and committed fraud in her and her baby brother’s name etc. she’s only 15 and dealing with that whilst having no support network (due to moving around so much) plus a lot of self esteem issues (self harm etc) is quite logically leading to lashing out, criticising her mom (the poem about being a monster because her mom is one and she is her blood) is completely logical imo. It always annoys me when people act like Georgia is this amazing woman and can’t fathom how Ginny could be so entitled etc when she’s a literal child juggling all this and finding out her own mother has done all this in her name (regardless of reason she’s still a child reacting to very traumatic things largely brought on by her own mom).
That makes sense. It's true Ginny has the right to be furious with Georgia and burdened by Georgia's actions, but the writers expected us to know their dynamic without putting in the work. I really enjoyed Jeremiah’s character as well, he didn’t deserve what Belly did to him. So for that I wish I didn’t remember her character but not too bad to belong in the pit. Cassie’s character development was a mess in season 2 as was most things in the second season of Euphoria but Sydney Sweeney’s performance was so good she owned the role she was given.

Highlight of the year: *Luna* (she was a good character I liked her a lot I also loved her friendship with Max and I'm sad they didn't show that a lot more), *Max* (I LOVE EVERYTHING about him and the fact you can tell he cares about his friend and he cares a lot about Aki and Audrey from jump and sometimes more than he cares about himself is just amazing and look at him is just yum), *Monet* (I like Monet and I like how they showed her story and I'm ngl her and Luna unstoppable duo), *Felix* (I honestly love Felix and his journey and yeah), *Mia* (I really like her she wasn't the highlight of my year but she was close enough that she shouild be put here), *Rahim* (I mean all I can say is yes), *Zion* (first he is so fine and the fact he saw what was wrong with his dad and immediately got her help was nice and nothing could make me hate him but I do acknowledge he has flaws also his taste in women chef's kiss), *Jeremiah* (I love him he is one of my fav characters of this show other than Taylor), *Kimiko* (I love her so much she is why I continue to watch The Boys), *Frenchie* (I love him so much and he is also the reason I continue watching The boys and the duo of him and Kimiko is unbeatable), *Aunt Vivienne* (this showed me I will always and forever love Aunt Vivienne), *Hilary* (I love that they didn't change Hilary too much and I love Coco portraying her and I just love it all), *Jazz* (I also really do like Jazz I like how he is with Hilary and with Will and Carlton and with Ashley and just in general), *Drea* (I really like her and I liked the character development but girl was a lil naive when it came to Eleanor), *Eleanor* (I liked the plot twist she gave and everything that she brought to the table I don't have anything negative to say about her but I just didn't like her enough for her to be a Legend living)

You exist: *Aki* (I mean I like him he isn't my favourite but he is okay), *Audrey* (I like her and I like the fact that she is in the show she kinda give could be an original gossip girl character but again don't love her), *Zoya* (I like her but sometimes I am like girl shut up her story kinda gives blood & water but like the bad version), *Shan* (I like her but she could been better and giving me more reasons to love her but she didn't do that so I like her and am okay with her), *Julien* (she annoyed me but I feel like she added something to the story so I don't think I would want to forget it her but she will never be the highlight of my year), *Obi* (I like Obi but he could have been so much better in my opinion), *Andrew* (I mean he is an okay character and I liked him with Mia but if I'm being honest I don't remember much about him except that he was with Mia and I do like after he asks Mia if he is a good person he does try to become better), *Victor* (I like him and I like his journey but I feel like he tried to be Simon a bit too much), *Pilar* (I do really like her and she definitely gives bestie vibes but she just doesnt give enough to be the higlight of my year), *Abby* (it is not that I don't like her cus I do love her but I feel bad for her like she got banished from the friend group cus of what Ginny did and then Ginny and her were friends but in none of the friendships did anyone seem to really care about her they wanted her to care about them), *Ginny* (I don't hate her but I do feel like she could have been a way better friend to all her friends and maybe nicer to everyone else but you know I don't know for me she just exists), *Marcus* (the only things I can really say about him is he had his flaws but he is fine and I like him), *Belly* (honestly I'm neutral to her she makes a lot of dumb decision but ig she is one of the three characters that make the show what it is), *Steven* (I think how he is with Belly and the boys is annoying but how he is with Taylor is so cute), *Conrad* (Conrad had his moments where he was good and then when he was like bro go away), *Billy Butcher* (I like him it is interesting to see the people in his talking to him), *Hughie* (He can be interesting when he tries to be his dad dying was sad tho), *A Train* (I like him I do but that's really all I have to say about him), *Maeve, Black Noir, Starlight, Uncle Phil* (I like him but he definitely has a lot of flaws), *Will* (I really do like Will and honestly that's all I have to say),
